Seaplane Basin Park

A great place to relax and enjoy the scenery! Sometimes I come here on lunch break to eat and watch the sailboats go by. I either sit in my car or at one of the picnic tables. People also come with their pets to play.
There isn’t much in the way in the way of shade with the exception of a line of trees.
I also come through when I’m running the Davis Island Trail. The trail connects Seaplane Basin, The dog park and the Yachtclub.

This a nice park out in the boondocks of Davis Island. It has water views of a sailboat dockage area and some industrial areas across the water in the distance. It is quite open. Not a lot of shade or plant life although there is a line of small trees. Could definitely be beautified with flowers and such.
There are a couple picnic tables. The paved running and biking trail passes through. Nice spot to relax and which those better off depart on their Royal Caribbean cruise. :)
There are actually a string of parks out and around a curl of land to the Davis Island Yacht Club. It’s a lovely area for a walk, run or ride if it’s not too hot out. :) Peter O. Knight Airport is out here too and has a nice seating area overlooking the runways. There’s a dog park area out towards the yacht club. It’s fun watching the Pelicans hunt.
