Food was not even average. Fried calamari looked like them came out of a freezer bag, almost onion ring like. Rubbery, no seasoning or taste. Chicken parmesan is fried than baked. Bartender and serve staff arguing in the background. Would not recommend. Service was poor, one of the servers told me that food is not as good as it used to be. I agree!

Honestly I would say save your money and go somewhere else, food is good sometimes and sometimes not so much… Over priced for what you get… Service is not that great 75% of the time… Place really really needs an update… It looks like it is still in the 80’s, Even the beer taps are broken and the beers are stored in coolers… The lady that took care of us tonight was a spaced out… They may have got me this time but they lost a customer and hopefully lose more due to this review… Until they change there ways or shut down… I won’t be back for a while or maybe never… Would be nice if that place went out of business and a new place that’s up to date with a better staff and better food went in its place…

Brought a group here. Service was good however the food was not great. I don’t know what happened to this restaurant because in the past it was wonderful. Very disappointed.

Just moved to harbour island and stopped by this place for some happy hour. This place has a pretty good happy hour with $ 1 off drafts and $ 5 wines. They have some select appetizers for $ 5 however they are not the full portions(so half size app for half price). We got the bruschetta, calamari, and pizza. The bruschetta was really good and tasted fresh. The fried calamari was good, but nothing spectacular(I am a fan of lightly breaded & flaky calamari). The personal pizza was good, however I would like to see more cheese on the pizza(some slices barely had cheese on it). The dough is freshly made in house and you can tell. The owner of the restaurant came by our table twice to chat and he is really friendly. He even gave our dog a treat. I will definitely be a frequenter at this place. I will update as I try more dishes.

This place is so overpriced it isn’t funny. Food is at best average and get ready to spend 65.00 each for chain type food. Pass this place up!!!

Had dinner here with the hubby last week on our last night in Tampa. Sat outside on the patio and it was beautiful. Service was outstanding as we really Had two waiters taking care of us. They were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We shared a fried calamari app which was good, nothing too crazy but it was tasty and fresh. My lobster ravioli was delicious although a bit pricy for only 5 or so ravioli squares. Hubby had fettuccini Alfredo which was delicious! Owner came to our table to chat and was very sweet. Seemed to really be sincere in wanting our opinion on how the food tasted. All in all was delicious but not cheap. Would go back for sure if I get to Tampa again. Beautiful sitting on the water and accessible for a nice stroll along the water after dinner.

Enjoyed dining here, there was a group of about 12 – 15 of us. WE he had no issues getting a reservation and having tables pulled together for our larger than usual dinner party. The foods was outstanding, and a great place to also enjoy cocktails. Within walking distance from the Marriott Water taxi areas. The owner of the restaurant was there and was active in planning the menu and the daily specials. The food was great, the service was great, the bar/wine services was great.

I eat out a lot and love Italian food. This by no means makes me an expert but this was probably the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in the last 3 years . Just very disappointed with the service and food quality. Sat outside after being seated and it wasn’t busy but felt like an afterthought to our waiter. Sautéed calamari was like rubber and we ended up sending it back, pretty much inedible. My GF got eggplant rollotini and that was the only reason this place gets even a star, it was nothing crazy but not good .I had been craving chicken Parm, just one of this traditional dishes I love but never order. It was horrible, tasted like a frozen chicken patty. Really bad . I don’t mind paying high prices for good food. But this place has no business being open. They are lucky they are one of two options to eat on Harbor Island or I’m sure they would have been closed a long time ago.

We did not even sit to eat! We talked to a waiter to get us a table, but the rest of the group did not know there were people ahead of us. So when the first table got ready, our friends thought it was ours and tried to sit on it. The Waiter said: Are you trying to snitch the table?! How RUDE!!! Even when we explained to him that there was some misunderstanding, he said«yeah, whatever!» Very bad customer service!!! Never going there!

I really, really hate to write negative reviews. I feel like Unilocal should be used to help prop up local businesses that shine. On the other hand, it’s also a tool to tell less than stellar businesses to step up their game. So, I have to stand with many of the other Unilocalers who have left poor reviews. I was in town for a concert and wanted to get a bite to eat before the show. My options were limited. I could go to Hooter’s, which would have felt really creepy since I was dining alone. Through the Unilocal app, I found That’s Amore nearby. «Cool, Italian food. I can live with that.» The location is the best thing this place has going for it. It’s right on Harbor Island which gives a great seaside view along with the downtown Tampa skyline. Inside is where things start to fall apart. I arrived around 6:00pm, about an hour after they had opened. Most of the servers were standing around and shooting the breeze. There was only one other party there other than myself, so I can forgive them for being bored until the restaurant filled up, but at least try to look busy. On the website, they advertised pizza and subs along with traditional Italian restaurant fare. Since I was just looking for a quick bite to eat before a show, I figured I could just get a small pizza and be on my way. Upon being seated, I was only given the traditional menu and was told that the pizza ovens weren’t even on yet, but I could order a pizza but it would take longer than usual. Ok, I get that I was in there not too long after opening, but I felt they should have at least had all aspects of the menu ready to go if they’re going to start opening the doors for customers. I didn’t feel like irritating the staff to go turn on the pizza oven when they weren’t prepared to, as well as waiting longer than usual for my meal, so I just opted for a simple plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I know not all Italian restaurants follow the same practices and principles, but I was disappointed with what That’s Amore offered. I was given a basket of «garlic bread», but I’ll be damned if I could find any trace of garlic or butter. There was barely any. The oil and vinaigrette dip saved what was essentially just plain old bread with a touch of garlic and maybe butter if I squinted hard enough. No house salad before the meal. Again, I know not all Italian restaurants follow the same formula, but still, a small salad before the main course is pretty standard in Italian restaurants as well as family dinners. When I finally got my spaghetti and meatballs, I realized I was about to pay $ 20 for something I could have bought in a can. The meatballs were obviously frozen and reheated, the sauce was bland(again, lack of garlic), and the pasta barely managed to squeak by. My server was friendly but I could tell he wasn’t used to serving lone diners killing time before a rock show. The atmosphere tries to be a fancy Italian joint, but since the staff seemingly had some downtime, I overheard many conversations about paychecks and gossip. I’m normally ok with that if it’s done out of the range of customers, but when it’s near the front of the house, it sounds straight up like some Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares stuff. A rough translation of «That’s amore» from Italian to English means«That’s love». I really wasn’t feeling the love with this place. The food was mediocre at best. But, they have room to improve and shine. Like I said earlier, their location is prime. I’d recommend using fresher ingredients and add a kick to the marinara, and this place could elevate itself. As of now… eh.

DONOTEATHERE! Started off not bad… until 5 minutes after sitting down the owner got into a screaming match with a customer who I think was saying the food was taking too long. Ok a little entertaining in a Gordon Ramsey type of way, crazy. Let’s move onto dinner where my friends chicken was so raw it could have still been walking.:my chicken was cooked but did taste horrible — and the kicker of the night was 10 minutes after getting back to the hotel the entire meal ended up in the toilet after making me throw up If I could give –5 stars I would

Stopped in with my wife before the Lightning’s Saturday home finale. The location was excellent as it’s right across the channel from the arena. The restaurant was not terribly busy as it was only 5:45. We shared the antipasto and we both had the lobster bisque. I had a Caesar salad and she had the mini crab cakes. The service was very attentive and responsive and the food was decent; not spectacular, but above average. Certainly worth a return visit.

Great restaurant tucked in at the end of the block right on the channel. Only problem is parking. If you can’t find parking on the street(limited) there are near by parking garages. Mine was $ 10 flat rate. The food is excellent and the service is good. This is a great date night place but also seems to have a lot of big screens for sports so many guess a good place to throw some back with the boys on sporting event nights. In any case, food is great.

Overpriced food and not worth the money they ask for it. The place is divided up like half arcade/sports bar/fin dining. With a mixture of furniture I never seen before. Entertainment was a drunk women who was loud ignoring arrogant and stupid. With that said. The server was great and very kind. You are right on the water good view of the city

I can be so annoying sometimes… so irrational. The more I think about it, the less I understand how this just happened. I called That’s Amore! to order a pepperoni pizza for the Finicky Eater who was starving madly as he returned from four hours of rowing. I recall using my cell phone. I recall a very feminine voice answering very sweetly. I recall me saying: «I don’t have the number of the pizza part of your restaurant. Can I order one through you?» I remember her saying: «of course! Give me a second.» Then as I sat watching the oranges and the cotton candy pinks of the sunset color the sky, I listened… and listened… and listened as people were greeted, seated, the jazz musician finished his set… Then I whispered a couple of «hellos» into the void of nothingness. I said some«hola! Hola!»… and I eventually screamed a couple, or many many more times, «Are you kidding me-s?» After exactly ten minutes, because I am impatient that way… I grabbed my silver purse, prayed to the angel of elevators not to disconnect the call, and cat walked myself many stories down, into and out of lobbies, across cobblestone streets and, like a Puerto Rican tropical storm… holding the same bejeweled cased phone, sashayed into the quite empty restaurant. A very beautiful girl greeted me. Yes. A very stunning girl who sounded just like the one who I needed to keep conversing with welcomed me. She did not get me when I said: «please, pick up the phone and let me finish my order.» She, so beautifully, thought I was speaking to someone else. Yes. I guess I was being rude walking into the restaurant in full conversation with someone else. Because I am rude like that. I proceeded to very calmly, not to hold in my wrath, No… but to make myself very clear, explained that I was still speaking to her on the overlooked and long forgotten black artifact she claimed had been defective throughout the day… No apologies. I firmly walked to the pizza bar as she beautifully followed me. The Pizza chef joyfully asked me how I was doing. I take responsibility for answering with a flat«I have being better.» He repeated it as if in disbelief«she has being better…» Beautiful whispered something about the phone, which he promptly took and placed back in its receptor«to charge it.» He diligently placed the frozen crust on the silver tray and in seconds had the pizza shoved in the hot oven… secretly hoping to lower the temperature around us which had risen higher than in there. I begged her to charge me and handed her my credit card. Chef returned to the register to explain to Lovely how to do it. She handed me the receipt. I asked for a pen. I signed. She kept her credit card on my hand and I asked for it back. Got it. Grabbed the square. Left the place… and her as she was ogled by two very old men.

So I have never been here before but my husband has. We were out for a boat ride on a glorious Memorial Day and decided to grab a quick bite to eat before heading home. Key word here was QUICK bite to eat!!! Never resist an opportunity to eat out… No cooking but best of all no dishes. We sat outside right along the waterfront which was nice and the place was not very busy. 2 other tables inside. Waitress came over quickly and brought us water and menus. Shortly afterwards we ordered. I had the appetizer bruschetta and lobster bisque. Husband had the Italian flatbread which he had previously and raved about it. Well I think the sun set and rose while we waited for our lunch. After 45 minutes I headed inside to make sure the staff had not gone home and forgot us outside. The waitress was just coming out with our lunch and said she was the only one on. Okay but I assume she wasn’t also cooking the food. Anyway my bisque was okay but coming from New England it has to be pretty damn good to impress me. Bruschetta was fresh and balsamic drizzle made it even better. My husbands flatbread was huge and came with a salad and onion rings. The food was good but only stop by if you are not in a rush One thing I saw was they had a stand outside with all sorts of dog treats and water bowls for dogs. Obviously as we sat there we saw loads of people walking their dogs so this is a nice touch for any restaurant to go above and beyond and make sure your furry friends are hydrated and get a treat.
