This place is ok. The drinks are good. The whole plave is so loud though. The music was so loud Incould actually feel my insides vibrating. It was like am earthquake. The drag shows are ok, but it’s not really my scene. My friends had a good time, but I don’t know if I’ll be rushing back.

Went here with friends tonight and while it’s not my scene the other people there certainly appeared to be enjoying themselves. Cover was $ 5 and we went in and my friends danced and drank. The dance music they play from a personal preference isn’t my thing, but the sound system was pretty good but really loud, and the atmosphere was what I’d expect in a gay bar. The staff were professional and made sure to collect empty cups as soon as people left them, and my friends had a really good time. The club is pretty clean as far as bars go. It’s not like you are going to eat there or anything. If you are in Ybor City and you are looking to dance and have a good time, and gay culture doesn’t offend or bother you then I’d say it’s probably a good time.

I’m from Jersey/New York and I have yet to find a good gay/lesbian club there. Decided to try one out here and I had the time of my life. Went on a Saturday night, it was the after pride party and lesbian night and the place was absolutely packed. The cover fee was $ 5 so wasn’t bad at all. Drinks weren’t too expensive either, got a red bull and Malibu Bay Breeze for $ 11. Best thing about the night was probably the go go dancers. They really knew how to put on a show and work the crowd. My friend and I had so much fun. We only planned to stay for a little bit but ended up staying for way longer than expected. There were also drag shows and it was fantastic. The energy was great, music could’ve been better though, but other than that, great great night. They opened up the second floor last night because it was so packed. Wish we had a place like this in New York, I would be there every weekend. Going back again tonight for burlesque night. Hope it’s just as good as last night.

Music is terrible on Saturday nights. A big thumbs down. No good lesbian clubs in Tampa.

I’m a bisexual woman who lives in North Tampa. There are a few small gay bars here, but not much for Lesbians or Bi women, so when I heard about the Honey Pot’s lesbian tease Saturday, I had to check it out. The club is very easy to find, a short walk from the city garage. The club is near the corner of 15th and 7th ave. The doors open at 10pm on Sat. The club itself is fairly small, but nice. They have two bars, a private VIP area, a main stage with run way, and small stages for the go go dancers. I must say the women dancing were very pretty. Almost everyone was dancing, and the place was packed when I left. They had a very short 20 minute drag show. The Queens were very entertaining. They also had one performer(a biological woman) strip down to a thong and pasties. She was hot. The drinks were great and the bartenders were friendly and talented. I had a margarita and beer. To give an idea of the prices, a Bud light is $ 4, margarita $ 6. The bar allows smoking, and as the dance floor is only accessible via steps, it is not disabled friendly. It also appears that there may be a second floor, but it wasn’t open. Security was visible, but thankfully not needed. Even though this is an LBGTQ club, everyone is welcome. I saw butch and femme lesbians, gay men, straight people, trans people, and I’m sure I wasn’t the only bisexual person there. In short, the Honey Pot is a good choice for fun no matter who you are. I hope to go back soon. Note to women: the walk from the garage to the club goes through a poorly lit area and over a train track. It is not uncommon to see men passed out on the sidewalk. Be careful if walking alone. The garage itself is well lit and has visible security guards and other personnel.

The Honey Pot is a lot of fun. I have been here yearly for the Santa Pub Crawl. This is always the start to the crawl and it is always a great spot to start. I love the upstairs area and the stage is always fun for the costume contest. The bartenders are attentive, the drinks are well priced, and the music is good. I haven’t been here on a regular night, but I hope to sometime soon.

Good club with good music… dj is great and drink specials are great as well… sometimes wish it was 21+ instead of 18+ but that’s just a personal preference… other than that it’s a great large space with a good drag show and good crowd

So in town with my friends and getting the whole Ybor experience. We came for the drag show. But this is a place to people watch for sure. There is a mix of everyone here and it’s an open place. The bartenders were great and super friendly. I was disappointed that the drag show was short in comparison to others that I have seen. Also there is no where to sit even on the sides. All in all a fun place. Music was great, drink prices were decent and there was no cover.

I’ve been to gay clubs all over and this one is pretty decent. One main dance area with a stage, from when I was there, that was used for drag queen performances. The stage is nice because it’s elevated and you can see the performance really well — my only issue is that is cuts right through the dance for so it’s kind of hard to get a group of people. Also, whoever is in charge turn the lights down further — dancing is a lot more fun when it’s dark in the building. I though that was lesson # one. Overall, decent time — a good crowd got dancing, music was good and drinks were reasonably prices.

There is a lot I can say about Honey Pot. My first experience was in 2011, and I’ve been hooked since! The drinks are decent($ 1 drinks until 11 on Tease Saturdays, which is when we go), their strong and the bartenders are AMAZING! The music, drag shows and dance floor is amazing. It’s always full, and everyone is always so nice! It is probably the best gay club I’ve ever gone to. The mix of people is perfect. The gay and hetero community come together and it makes for a fun night. The overall vibe of this place is sickening(in a good way!). If you’re near the Ritz, check it out. Cover is only $ 5 after 11, even for the young ones who are under 21. Plus, I owe them everything. Because of a random night at Honey Pot in 2011, I met the love of my life. That’s a win/win for me. 2 years strong, thanks to them. :)

I don’t go dancing often these days, but when my favorite crew from the olden days gather, dancing is the most obvious choice. This weekend, after unsuccessfully attempting to cut a rug at a list of other 7th Ave bars, we made Honey Pot our last ditch effort. Cover was $ 5 and what we walked into could only be described as a dark, neon, drag queen’s mecca. It had all the trimmings of a true nightclub(except this one had friendly bartenders!). A large stage throughout the middle of the dance floor went from hosting talented patrons to decked out drag queens(there was a performance after all) and nearby, go-go dancers took to the other elevated platforms throughout the dance floor. Genrerally, this isn’t my kind of scene(pulsating EDM and all), but the people watching was excellent and everyone filled up their dance card in no time. Straight people, gay people, old but mostly young people packed the room. Only thinking we’d stay for 20 minutes, we ended up dancing until our feet gave out. Nicely done, Honey Pot.

LOVE me some Amy DeMilo either Friday or Saturday night for the drag show. Should be illegal to look that dang pretty and be in drag. I never have a bad time here. Saturday nights I will admit that some of the younger girls try to give you a little test but its a nice dancing time with great drink prices and wonderful Bar tenders. Love Dru Marie and Chou Chou. Love the Saturday night Dj as well. Always some great mixing going on up in that sound booth

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, the Honey Pot is host to Fetish Circuit in their upper floors. It’s an interesting evening that caters to some of the harder players in the scene. You will find riggers, people into violet wand play, sensory deprivation, and of course corporal punishment. It is NOT for the faint of heart.

I’ve never had a bad time at the Honey Pot, I will say that. Gay guys don’t hit on you unless you’re into that and there are some ladies there. The drag show is fun to be honest and it’s just a few hours of senseless fun. The bar tenders are real touchy, feely but I kind of find it funny. They’re just genuinely nice people. Won’t go again probably because I don’t really hang out with a gay crowd anymore, but it was fun while it lasted.

I’ve been to this establishment a few times for a yearly pub crawl that I attend so that is my only experience with this place. The bartenders and music are always good when I have been here so I can’t complain. Pretty run of the mill.

If you’re looking for a gay bar in Tampa, The Honey Pot is the place to be. Located in the heart of Ybor, The Honey Pot boasts cheap(strong!) drinks, a friendly staff, and a personality packed drag show. The night can start off a little slow, but once the drag show kicks off the party begins. These girls know their lyrics, and wow their audience with their lively personalities and desire to have fun. My favorite nights have consistently been on a Friday, though Lesbian night Saturday can be equally fun. The dance club has two large bars which are both fully staffed, so you’ll never be waiting for a drink. Both my straight and gay friends have been here on multiple occasions; we always advise a Taxi for The Honey Pot — it’s easy to get reckless with these strong drinks, billboard top 100 dance songs, and just plain fun!

First things first, this is a gay bar. Wouldn’t want you to walk in with that piece of info. The place is kind of quaint, which allows it to fill up faster and make you feel like you are in a happening spot much faster. Good for them. Ybor city has lots of options. There is only one bar, and it is located on the side of the room. It gets packed fairly quickly. Bartenders are pretty good to getting to patrons. Just wave a 20 around. We all know bartenders hate taking cards. If you are an attention hooker, there are plenty of stages for you to showcase your moves to all those around you. No rails though, so handle your drinks. If you are a girl trying to go on gay night, they charge you extra for cover unless you are accompanied by a man. It seems fair. Overall a fun place.

This is a very common USF clubbing student spot. I have never been though, I’ve been invited to go maybe every week since I started school. I remember when it first opened, a few of my high school friends had gone and talked about how awesome it was. When I finally went with my friends, I had a great time. The club is not that big, but it’s enough to have a good time, there is ample dancing space. Televisions playing music videos to the songs you are listening to. Dancers were on their A-game. DJ picked some really good songs and everybody was just having a good time there. Plenty of photographers covering the club, we got a few pictures online. A different crowd from what I observed in Prana, but not a bad thing. We’ll definitely be back in the future.
