The food was salty and my wife ordered the half chicken and it was cold, looked like two day old reheated food. Will never go back

Trolley’s is the hotel restaurant for the Embassy Suites Downtown. We originally wanted to go to Hattricks but because of the holiday bowl games we had to change plans. So back to the hotel restaurant. It was surprisingly good. Had a great Bloody Mary. We split egg rolls and quesadilla. Both were good for a hotel. The staff was not good or bad but were functionary, not sure if it was because of NYE or just the way it was. There was nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. So if you find yourself stuck in the ES, this is a good palm to go. Get a Bloody Mary first.

I like the quiet atmosphere of the place. It was 7pm. Service was okay, but 4 stars for the delicious garlic steak and mashed potatoes with the tasty butter flavor. The steak was moist, tender, and had a delicious pesto sauce. It made up for the okay service(she didn’t even come by to refill my water). I came here to get away from my hotel at the Marriott Waterside because it was loud and crowded. I’m satisfied. Kudos to the cook. Green beans could’ve been cooked a tad bit longer.

Regretfully this was a sub par restaurant experience. The pizza tasted worse than a frozen store bought pizza. The philly cheese steak sandwich had nacho cheese poured on top of roast

the sole item on the menu capable of the vegan hack was the southwestern vegan salad minus the avocado drizzle. i’m used to pretty extravagant salads, and this definitely was not one of them. i think there were maybe 10 black beans in the whole thing, and the romaine was in pretty big chunks, which didn’t make for graceful eating. but, the avocado was fresh and i was happy to have a bit of greenery. my group ate here a second time and i ordered the same salad again. this time i counted. there were 3.25 black beans in the salad, and this time there was next to no avocado, and what avocado there was was just mush. no nice slices. french fries were sodden and limp too.

Staying at the Embassy and went to Trolley’s yesterday. I ordered the Southwest Salad and when it came out, it appeared to just be iceberg lettuce, corn, hot sauce and some ranch dressing. I was underwhelmed and also disappointed that when I didn’t eat the salad(literally took two bites) she still charged us for the salad.

It’s a good place for lunch or late nights drinks and snacks. Located in the Embassy Suites, it’s convenient if you’re staying in the hotel. We stopped in several times during our 6 night stay and enjoyed it pretty much. Sandwiches and sides are good and they have a nice drink menu. Had about 4 beers on tap — waitress brought me the wrong one on one occasion(language problem) but it was OK. Not a place to seek out, but once again convenient if you’re staying in the hotel.

Food was okay. The service was definitely average. I stood there and waited for a while before anyone even bothered to acknowledge me to sit me so I decided to order to go. There was maybe 6 people in the entire place and most were at the bar. Overpriced hotel food. Sorry but your competitor across the street had MUCH better tasting food.

Two stars for accommodating my request and for a sing server. Food was salty and tasted prefrozen. Husband’s pizza was overcooked. Overpriced and the server forgot to come back. Wouldn’t recommend.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. The food, the staff all excellent. Everyone here are sports fans and always welcoming. We haven’t eaten here for anything but apps but they have all been delicious!

I hate to do this, but I have to. 1. I ordered a pizza with chicken and found it barely edible. Have you ever had chicken that was so old and yet also so undercooked that it tasted rancid? 2. I also got a wedge salad and found a fly beneath the lettuce. I used to work at a restaurant and became very cynical whenever anyone brought me(a server) a plate with a fly in it(I actually saw a woman planting a fly on her meal once), so I don’t report it. I imagine every other server to be like me, and I don’t like to make a fuss. But those two problems are enough to make me stay away from this place, as well as not recommend it to others.

Quaint place for a quick bite near the convention center. Prices are to be expected pricey for it’s in a downtown area. Food was yummy

Avoid… I know it is hard to get away for lunch when you are at a conference, but this is just expensive blandness. I had mahi mahi tacos that didn’t taste like anything beyond cabbage and bland mango, and the bill for 3 of us was nearly $ 60, and our waiter disappeared as soon as we had our food. Sure, it was around 11 when we arrived(pre-lunch rush) but the waitstaff acted like they were surprised that they were going to get busy during lunchtime. Well, my conference had 3,500 attendees… I assume this is a regular thing, no? You’d think they’d have a routine down. Re: menu, I understand the need to lean on the generic side to appeal to the widest range of tastes, but for a convention center, there are many other places for you to spend your per diem. Bland and disappointing! But that’s what you get when you really want to see an old friend and have only 90 minutes between conference sessions!

Order the waffle fries and cash cause that’s all this place is good for. The burger tasted like it came from the vending machine along with the service. We were the first ones in the restaurant today and it took 40 minutes for 2 burgers. Step it up trolleys

I’m staying in the Embassey Suites here in Tampa for the night on business. My day started at 3:30AM and I arrived for an early check in at 10:30. By noon I was hungry and decided to explore restaurant options in the hotel and stumbled on Trolley’s and I’m glad that I did. Being on a gluten free diet, I was pleasantly surprised when my waiter, Stephen, said that anything on the menu can be prepared without the bread. That’s just how I like it. I ordered the Prime Rib Hoagie(without the bread) with melted cheese, cabbage, and an au jus that was delicious. I substituted the waffle fries with vegetable chips at Stephen’s suggestion. Overall, very tasty. The service was quick and Stephan was polite and courteous. You cannot l lose with this restaurant. I can’t wait to try it for dinner.

I’d imagine all the customers here are from the Embassy Suites. It’s fine for a hotel restaurant. It has a limited menu for both lunch and dinner(no sandwiches available during dinner). For dinner there are a handful of salads, burgers, pizzas and entrees like a sesame seared tuna and pistachio crusted salmon. I went for the a veggie quesadilla(a «starter»), filled with of cheddar/jack cheese, sizzled onions and pico, and a Snickers boozy drink with Guinness. The hotel’s room service IS the restaurant so you might as well drag yourself downstairs and get waited on so you don’t have to pay the delivery and room service fees. I didn’t get the bad service that the other reviewers seem to be pointing out. However, I was in a rather unstable chair and table. Maybe it needs some new furniture.

In the Embassy suites hotel close to the arena. Hattricks was too crowded(SRO) at 5:00 to even think about ordering any food so we left and found Trolleys before going to the hockey game. Quick service. Menu is small but interesting and very tasty. We had Veggie quesadilla, wings, prime rib sandwich, fish tacos and the sweet potato fries were crispy and delish! All very good. Waiters/waitress are friendly and courteous. Chatted about hockey. Some beers were $ 2. We would definitely come back.

This is the restaurant in the Embassy Suites in Downtown Tampa. The food is good, but the menu is very limited. They have about five things to pick from and that’s it. Obviously it’s convenient if you are staying in the hotel, but even then sometimes it’s better to venture out and eat somewhere else. The service is excellent. I never had to wait for anything and the bartender is friendly and pours my beer before I even have to ask for it. They like to talk and keep the place clean and tidy. They stay open until midnight and have a decent selection of beers on draft. The biggest problem that I have with this place is that they do not have DirecTV. Trolley’s is not a sports bar, but they have a nice TV setup with large flatscreens on every wall at good angles, which would be conducive to watching multiple football games at the same time. BUT they don’t have DirecTV, so you have to watch the same game on all the TVs. This is even more puzzling being that the hotel does have DirecTV in the guest rooms. That means this place actually went out of their way to get crappy cable instead of having a provider that has Sunday Ticket. I’m not sure why anyone would want to pay for for shittier service, but that’s their business. This is why I took my business across the street to watch the Panthers play Miami last weekend. Champions Sports Bar is literally on the other side of the street in the Marriott Hotel. They have about 100 TVs and ALL of the games. So go for convenience and friendly service, but not for entertainment or food selection.

Trolley’s was just steps away from the convention center located in the Embassy Suites. The eight of us decided to gather for a late lunch. The place was definitely small and even at half capacity, we were warned about the minimum twenty minute wait from order to table. We didn’t mind and thought dining al fresco would ease the time. There were painters outside and between our waitress’ confusion over our orders, the smell of paint, the incessant sound of tarp flapping with the wind, and the lipstick stain on my water glass… I nearly thought that we’d leave mid-meal. Our group ordered a variety from sandwiches/paninis to pizzas and burgers. I thought that my blackened chicken and smoked gouda was decent coupled with a bizarre yet refreshing minted watermelon salad. My other dining companions enjoyed their burgers and said that the fries were«pretty good.» Trolley’s attempted to provide some contemporary yet familiar menu options and executes it in a decent fashion. However, it is nothing to write home about when there is a long wait time. Plus, the service was embarrassing for a hotel of this caliber.
