This is going to sound like a very long rant, but if you’re thinking about going here to play paintball, I would read this entire thing so you know what you’re getting into. I have been out of the sport of paintball for about 7 years now and decided to brush off my old gear for a day of fun with 3 other friends. We found a Groupon for an «all day paintball experience for 4» for $ 20 which provided all day play, unlimited air, and equipment rental. We were aware that this package did not include paintballs and that the course required that you use their paint. We ran into our first issue within the first 10 minutes of arriving. They had prices listed next to the window($ 20 for 500 paintballs and $ 45 for 2000). We decided that we would probably need 1000 paintballs each for all day play, so our plan was to buy two cases of 2000 for $ 90, abiding by the rules of using the field’s paint and not bringing our own. The man and woman working at the window were incredibly rude and would not allow us to share 2 cases of paint. They said that the groupon clearly stated that each person had to purchase paint as «individual transactions», the minimum being $ 20. We immediately thought that they were trying to screw us out of our groupon, so we pulled it up on our phones to show them that the rule was in fact not listed on the deal. They had an excuse for that as well. They claimed that the mobile version of the app didn’t show the whole deal and that it was written at the bottom if you brought it up on a computer. I am now typing this at home, on my computer, and I can confidently say that we were right about the rule not being there, and we definitely got screwed. So within the first 10 minutes, we experienced bad customer service and had to pay $ 80 for 500 paintballs each instead of $ 90 for the 4000 that we intended to purchase. Now, onto the paintballs. We sucked it up and paid an absurd amount of money for the worst paintballs I have ever fed through my gun. They splattered when you dropped them from knee-high and would chop every 10 shots out of the gun because they were so brittle. You can buy tournament grade paintballs for less than that price and I have shot the cheapest paintballs from walmart out of my gun with better success. This made for incredibly frustrating play because nothing was shooting straight as a result of all the chopped paint. The low quality paint completely ruined the experience, and I can’t believe I paid $ 20 for 500. Everyone I talked to was complaining and experiencing the same issues. Finally, we were all geared up and ready to put our bad experience behind us and we started doing what we would end up doing for most of the day, WAITING. The referees sat around smoking cigarettes and talking to each other until THEY decided they would start a game. There seemed to be no set schedule of continuous games throughout the day. The woman told us it was one of the busiest days they had all year, having to rent out all 115 guns(so I assumed games would be going on non-stop). There were a lot of people there, but anyone not playing as a member of a private group had to play on the same field. This resulted in most of the games being 45 v 45. It was ridiculous having to play with 5 people behind each bunker on the same field, when there were 4 other fields that were completely empty and not being used, even by the private parties. The refs were also very lazy. They would yell to start the game and then sit in the back and talk to each other. Many times, I saw people wipe off paint marks and continue playing even though they were clearly tagged out because the referees failed to put forth the effort to even watch. After each game, we refilled our ammo and air and were ready to play again, but yet again had to wait for a long period of time before the refs started another massive game. We were there from 10am-5pm and they only had TEN total games.(each of which lasted for less than 10 minutes). It was a total waste of my time and money. The combination of the rude employees, awful paintballs that we were forced to buy, slow pace of play and lackadaisical referees is enough for me to HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere. I really enjoyed the sport of paintball and remembered having great experiences at other parks, but this was just an awful time. I will never be going back.

I wouldn’t recommend Paintball Adventures Park for amateurs(like me). You just won’t have fun. I’m not even sure if you’d have fun if you’re a paintballing veteran(who own your own guns and gear) either. In freeballing, there’s only two things that happen: having not many players or having too many players. In either scenario, amateurs won’t be able to play amongst themselves. Thus, when there’s not that many people, the games end in literally two minutes. For amateurs, you might not have gotten a chance to even shoot the gun. For veterans, you just waited to play a two minute game. When there’s too many people(I’ve seen 60 at once before), amateurs lose in two minutes, and the veterans play for the next 30 minutes. As an amateur, you’ll wait to wait for the game to end and wait for the next course to open up. Now, in order to prevent these massacres from occurring, there’s always an option to pay for renting a judge for your own group. That way, you ca go from course to course with your own amateur friends. At least that’s what some of the judges have told me directly. Well… they were wrong. We asked to pay for our own judge, and the head judge declined us because apparently on weekends, they get a lot of customers(hence, those 30 vs 30 battles). For curious souls out there, I’ll give Paintball Adventures Park credit for having relatively good rental equipment and inexpensive rental prices. However, I don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

First time at a public session. DONOT take your kids to this park unless you book a private session! When we arrived we loaded up for the first game and left our stuff in one spot. After a 15 minute or so game I returned to the main area to find that some one had stolen my brand new box of paintballs. The staff was less than helpful, asking people as if they would admit to it. I had to buy another $ 40 box to even play with my sons friends on top of all we had already spent. They did not even offer them to me at a discount, it was as if oh well too bad for you. The refs are horrible, oh they are a bunch of high school age kids who just love yelling at the little guys non stop. Although they need to watch the games, the«hardcore» guys just brutalize everyone else with full auto guns while most had rentals. I watched 4 of my kids(11 – 12) surrender and one of these nut jobs just kept shooting them while their hands were up and they were trying to exit the field. I screamed at the 3 different refs and not one did anything or said a word to the obvious«regular». We will not return, customer service/care or safety is of no concern, just making sure you sign those waivers is all that is on the list for them. Oh and yelling at the young kids. Also short staffing in the clubhouse caused many delays playing. 3 people on a saturday with probably 150 people trying to check in, get equipment and exchange non working guns really stunk!

Decent fields but terrible management. They mix speedballers and woodsball players making for an unfair day when they’re shooting full auto vs A5’s and rentals.
