Popped in for a beer and green chile cheeseburger. Not disappointed. Looks like a fantastic venue for concerts with an Adobe band shell.

Great venue but there were definitely a few things lacking. First, we were overcharged by $ 10 when we ordered our food. I didn’t realize it until my husband added it up later and informed me. Second, my Cobb salad was just dinky. Tasted ok, kind of bland. Third, My friend who lives here ordered the forage salad and they forgot to put the bleu cheese. Fourth, my husband ordered the bbq burger and they forgot the bbq sauce and bacon, which was $ 4 more than what the regular burger he ended up getting cost. And of course once they drop off the food they never come back. At least the night we went on, which was a Monday, they didn’t come back. May have been bc of the live recordings but the fact that we got overcharged by $ 10 and missed out on $ 4 of extra burger toppings really left a bad taste in my mouth for this place. The reason they got 3 stars was just for the venue in itself. Great place to hang with locals but be weary of your final tab and probably forgo ordering food there and eat beforehand.

This is the best place to enjoy a night out in Taos. Great live music, good food, full bar selection and the best backyard views around! Plus, the vibe of the whole place is really cool! Definitely check it out!

Stopped in for a couple of beers. Not a huge selection, but alright. But the backyard of this joint is amazing. Sitting outside overlooking Taos Mountain on a sunny day. Can’t beat that.

I’ve been to KTAOS several times to enjoy the ‘community’s backyard’, but the last two visits have been hampered by the unprofessional behavior of the owner/manager towards patrons and staff. On my last visit, I arrived early for happy hour cocktails unaware that the Glen Miller Orchestra was doing a sound check on the back patio. I watched as the owner rudely kicked patrons out of the patio saying that the show hadn’t started. I then observed him yell at his waitstaff telling them not to serve food to folks who were already on the patio. I even watched him attempt to deny someone access to the patio even though the poor patron’s kid and family were already out there. I observed all of this while waiting in line for a drink at the bar. All the other folks around me in line also saw this behavior and were bewildered. The bad energy was too much. I cut out of there and spent my money at a different local establishment. Such shameful behavior from a business owner. Needless to say, I won’t be patronizing this establishment anymore and I’m deleting KTAOS radio from my bookmarks. The ‘community’s backyard’ isn’t so community or family friendly.

Not sure what has happened to this place. This used to be the place to go for live music in Taos but not any longer. Ktaos used to have actual good bands, traveling bands that you have heard of, not sure what has happened in the last year. Taos Mesa Brewery is now the place for good live music in Taos. The food at Ktaos is not bad though for bar food. Staff isn’t very attentive at all. Place is not run well.

Really good sportsbar with many tvs, a glorious view, great bar food and really great service. One blonde curly haired bar tender took care of everyone single handedly and she was very courteous to everyone’s needs. Also it’s a sports bar inside of a solar powered radio station. How badass is that?!

First thing to notice was the patio’s view and the patio! It was too cold for me to sit out there, but we could see the view from our seats. Very good beer menu. The food was great. I got the salmon burger with onion rings. The salmon was thick and juicy. The onion rings were deep fried crisp on the outside, soft in the inside and not too oily. Hubby got fish tacos, 3 count, delicious. The downside was the service, a manager was making the rounds and ended up getting us our first round of beer when on her second round we still hadn’t gotten our beers. Still between our waitress and the manager making rounds, we still had to flag someone for an other beer, had to ask twice for our dessert, and hand carried our credit card to the bar to settle up. They knew they dropped the ball and comped our dessert: much appreciated. Would be nice if they let dogs on the back yard, hint, hint.

Great spot for drinks and music. Such an interesting use of space and houses so much more than a bar. Great indoor and outdoor music venues with a real comfortable vibe.

This little gem was a surprise! After trying to get in to several high priced places in downtown Taos, we decided to head out a ways and away from the high priced tourist money pits. It was worth the short drive. A very unique atmosphere with outstanding menu and drink selections. Probably the best Baja Fish Tacos I have ever eaten! Not a place for small children, but great for families with older kids. I will definitely hit this place again before heading back home!

Great time! We had a large group with 5 kids 4 adults. Great drinks try the pepper infused vodka bloody– awesome! Good food everyone was happy with but the standouts were the pork habenero tacos and bacon wrapped jalepenos– damn delicious! Went here for the outside play area– a grassy knoll with fun kid toys and therefore entertainment for the 5 kids while we drink ;) ended up getting a tour of the radio station and dance hall from Jason which was a highlight for all of us and truly awe inspiring for the young teen who loves music! Jason really took care of us and instead of being put off by our large group made a memorable last night in Taos. This place has awesome bands and I can’t wait to come back for a show. Such a cool place!

Saw the Wailers play here last night. Great venue, perfect sound, drink prices totally reasonable. Seems like they get really good acts to come to Taos. There was a great cross section of what seemed to be locals and tourists, old and young. Heard one kid boasting about sneaking in. I think that when you have something this great in your community, people should try to support it so that it will be able to survive financially.

We hung out for an afternoon in the backyard area. We drank some beers, sat in the grass, and even threw the horse shoes a bit. I will go back if I am in the area for sure. I would love to see some music and really get to know this venue. And it’s freakin solar! How cool is that!

Yes please! Really a community radio station, they have lots of programming that your usual Clearchannel station would drop dead before airing. For example, there’s the lost/found pets section, the morning wanted/selling stuff call-in section, concerts out at the station, local musicians and specialty DJs– and SOLARFEST :) I’m sympathetic that it gets noisy for people who live around here, but in all other respects I think they are kick-ass.
