The burgers were tasty, atmosphere was good, but overall I thought it was a bit pricey. I bought a double with onion rings and a shake, my wife got a single with sweet potato fries and a soda, total cost was $ 33 bucks. Food portions were more than ample, shake was rather small with kiddie sprinkles on it. Sweet potato fries were bland and onion rings were Ok. I don’t feel it was worth the $ 33 and felt regret after leaving.

I had my first visit this weekend and NN Burger did not disappoint. The burgers were delicious as well as the fries. The drink machine offered so many varieties to choose from. I’m impressed and will make this my go to spot the next time I’m in the area.

By far the best burger I have had in a long time. The only complaint I have is that they put to much A1 on my sandwich. The twisters were awesome. Food was great. We will definitely be back when we travel this way.

I went once – Hamburger was tasty. Service quick. Space well decorated and clean. Surely could be 5 star worthy – however, I only rated 3 stars because 1) They ran out of fries! 2) I was served wine in a plastic cup 3) Didn’t feel it was a fair trade between the price I paid and services rendered.

Met my son and daughter in law here for dinner on our way to Montross on Friday night! We’ve been to the other location in Kilmarnock so we had some idea of what to expect. We were not disappointed. At 8:00 pm this place was still hoppin’ with a crowded dining room and live music. French Onion Burger was delicious with the caramelized onions and aioli sauce! Chicken sandwich was great too. Love the Twisters — nice alternative to French fries.
Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Look forward to going back. Expect that it will get busier when rivah’ life gets busier during the season!

Gourmet burgers worth every penny. Still reasonably priced though. Some gourmet burger places charge an arm and a leg and just aren’t worth it. This place is. Burgers have that real wood grill taste, are juicy and huge. Onion rings and twister fries delicious and they give you a huge portion. The service was also outstanding. You’ll be glad you went!

Gourmet burger joint with thick shakes and a variety of beers on tap. Burgers run about $ 7 or 8 and come «pink or well done and juicy». Besides burgers they offer salads but come for the burger. They are large and tasty with lots of toppings to build your own of choose from. An equally large selection from the menu. The sweet potato fries are damn good also

Great burgers and good atmosphere. I’ve been to the Kilmarnock location once and here once. Both times I got the Chesapeake burger which was amazing. The burger itself it flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The «tappahannock twisters» are also really good, thin, ribbon cut chips/​fries. When I went on a warm November day, they have music outside. It’s a little bigger than the Kilmarnock location and has a nice covered patio outside. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

(3.75) ~ Good Overall Food & Service. Definitely the best burger within a (50) mile radius:) The «Rivah» Sauce is Thousand Island Dressing with an extra kick. They also have a «car wash» machine for your hands… definitely unique:)lol
MY MENU:
* Create-​Your-​Own-​Burger (pink) = (3.75) Good. Got with Mustard; Guacamole; Caramelized Onions; Tomato; & American Cheese. It’s about a 6 oz. patty on a Brioche Bun. Even though I got pink there was plenty of char on the outside b/​c it’s wood-​grilled. Although I’m not a charred burger fan, my wife is;) The Guacamole was very good, however the Caramelized Onions were not. Note: If they could offer a Fried Egg (extra cost) as a topping I would bump this rating up to a (4) = very good.
* Natural Cut Fries = (3.75) Good
* Tappahanock Twisters = (3.75) Good… more like Potato Chips then fries… needed more salt though…
* Oreo Shake with Malt = (3.75) Good

Had a great meal today when trying this new restaurant for the first time. Place your order at the counter, pay, receive a beeper. Suggest you review the menu online before entering, all the choices sound excellent. We ordered the vegetarian (black bean) burger, the mahi sandwich and twisters with cheese. Very good! Interior décor has great rustic feel, steady crowd on a Sunday at 3 pm. Absolutely nothing to complain about, so glad to have this restaurant in Tappahannock to raise the bar for other restaurants. Pricing very fair. Will definitely be back many times to try other menu items. The milkshakes looked wonderful and lots of people were getting them. Also saw several people coming in to pick up take out orders.

Decided to give this new place in T town a try. We had heard pretty good things about the Kilmarnock location, so figured that we would give it a chance.
I got the Guac burger and hubby got a bacon cheese burger. We split a regular style fries and I had a beer while my DD had water.
The burgers: I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked mine though it was kind of messy to eat with the salsa and guacamole on top. I am not even honestly a huge burger fan. (in fact, if they had grilled chicken options. that is what I would probably have gone for). Hubby was super happy with the cheeseburger and said the bacon was exceptional.
The fries were thick cut and hot.
Probably the low point was the beer as it wasn’t really all that cold. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and overall it is a nice experience with a pretty good variation in the menu.

Had the teriyaki mushroom burger great! partner had the bacon cheeseburger & he rated it at a 10. i had the shredded chedder chips-​tasted weirdly like fish some, but was really good! great prices!

This place has a very wide selection of toppings and burger styles — it’s sort of like an upscale 5 Guys, but many more menu choices the meat has flavor. I liked my wife’s teriyaki swiss more than my custom burger, but both were good. Minor mistake when they put cheese on mine. The place has a very modern feel, I’d say give it a try.
