UnilocalERSBEWARE!!! I dont write things like this often but this experience barely deserves the 1 star! Such a shame… gorgeous view, so much potential. But the people here don’t know how or care to take care of their customers. This may have been one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. a 2 hour wait to get our main course??? 2 hrs seriously??? Ok, put that aside, things happen but unless I am wrong the restaurant business is a service oriented business. Something like that happens in a reputable restaurant and a manager would come over, apologize and do their very best to make things right. We were a large party and everyone agreed that the entire evening was a disaster. After being seated, it took a while to get someone to take a drink order then took awhile to get our drinks. But the worst was that it took 2hrs to get our main courses. We got a half assed apology from our waiter and what I believe to be a manager. Who gave us more attitude then apology. How about offering us desserts??! Or a drink or something??? Anything!!! Ok, after all that time the food was also awful!!! The paella special had zero and I mean zero flavor, tiny bits of chicken and 3 slices of sausage. This was no paella. This was mussels on bland rice and three of us had the same dish and all agreed. The tuna, this is a tuna steak? It was thin(about ½″ in width”) overcooked and also lacked flavor. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and skip this place… it’s awful all the way around! If you want a good meal, with waterfront dining, go pick up food in tarrytown, bring it down to the water and eat on a blanket in the park!

Dishonest restaurant! I ordered lobster ravioli and oysters to go, and they gave me craw fish ravioli! No lobster at all! I cook craw fish myself, so I know crawfish! I went back to ask them. One guy said the ravioli was made of lobster inside but I tasted and it was crawfish as well! I ate lobster a lot so I know what lobster and lobster ravioli tastes like. He also said they had to keep the cost down, so they use craw fish! I pulled out their Unilocal profile and showed him what their lobster ravioli looked like in other people’s photos 4 months ago and that guy said he didn’t recognize that picture. Of coz, he didn’t take it! The other guy came and asked what happened. He said it was the smallest lobster in the world… BS! I asked for my money back. I can’t believe that thy think people are stupid and they think they can just get away with that! Dishonest people. Definitely not coming back!

DISCLAIMER: This is from the perspective of a guest at a group event. The group event has about — 50 or so people in the party. This is also from the perspective of lunch. Alright so we got there, and it is a little hard to get to since the restaurant is literally adjacent to the water and right next door to a port full of boats parked on land. We had to cross by a driveway into a parking lot into a gated area to get on premise, But once we got there the folks valeted our car for free. It’s sort of a small place, but just right for a buffet-style event holding about 50 people. Good food for both breakfast and lunch. I will highlight the delicious hollandaise sauce with the eggs Benedict. Loved the Belgian waffle and they had a station which made you omelettes and pancakes with all of the toppings you wanted. For the lunch, I think the highlight of the lunch portion was the meat station and the seafood paella which was pretty good. For dessert, they had about five different kinds of cakes on display and a lot of cookies and fruit. Everything was very tasty. For aesthetics, there is a patio area with a nice view of the Tappan Zee Bridge and New Jersey. There is even a separate area under a tarp pavilion to hold a separate event. There is what even looks like a town artifact — an old dock closed off from public entry! It did not look like it could hold people on there, as its pegs looked deteriorated. Lol I will write it off as a vintage landmark. The service was great, very homely and like I stated, had free valet parking. They served unlimited mimosas throughout the entire time also and constantly asked us how we were doing bad kept refilling the food. So in a nutshell, a pretty cool place! Not quite sure what the crucks of the deal were to hold an event there, but I had a great time and would appear here again for breakfast or lunch!

My husband and I have dined here on three occasions, each time service was always the problem, the lack of attentive service and friendly staff. The food was good and obviously the view and ambiance is what consistently brought us back. Great menu choices. Decent drinks.

First and foremost I have to say our waitress was fantastic. Was was personable and friendly and really a pleasure. The restaurant itself was much more casual than we were expecting from the website and looked kind of tired in its décor. Despite having a reservation, we were sat the furthest you could possibly be from the sunset view inside the restaurant which was a bummer because there was a table that could have been cleaned in 2 minutes right at the waterfront window. In any case we forged on! I shared the octopus appetizer which was perfectly cook then had the swordfish for my main. I like that they point out gluten free items on the menu so they were easy to find. Everything tasted okay but not out of this world in flavor. When we left both my husband and I felt really gassy and uncomfortable which I am only assume was from something in the food. This is not a place I would want to come back to but was okay for an evening. Maybe if the weather was nicer and we could have sat on the patio we would have had a nicer experience.

I’ve had the outdoor patio/tiki bar fried food before and it’s good. Nice place for a beer and some fish or chicken tenders with friends with a great view. However, when visiting again to eat inside the restaurant, I was rudely turned away by the manager or owner because«there was an event being set up for soon». I can fully understand being turned away for a private event, however there’s no justification for being rude. The manager(or owner, not sure who he was), threw his hands in the air, as if to stop me and said«we’re closed, everything’s closed, bar’s closed, private event». Tip for the manager: You represent the establishment, act as such. Use the word«sorry» when turning away customers, for whatever reason. Don’t use your hands to wave away customers.

This was our first time here and it was amazing. The view is perfect even with the ongoing construction of the bridge, always great to sit by the water. Our server was Javier and he was perfect in every way, amazingly attentive without being overbearing. His knowledge and description of all the items on the menu was spot on. We started with Burrata, Antipasto and the absolutely delicious Caprino flat bread. The truffle oil was the best we ever had. Our main courses were the Gambero Gigante a generous portion of lightly breaded shrimp over wilted spinach and couscous absolutely delicious and the Roasted Grouper also a large portion with fresh herbs over rice cooked to perfection. Portions were large enough that we have leftovers for today. The wine selection while not extensive it is prefect for any taste and budget. We would highly recommend this restaurant and certainly will return.

Twas fabulous! Came here with a friend and enjoyed my dinner! We had ordered penne ala vodka and the pork chops with burrata… Twas beautiful and tasty just like our server told us! The restaurant was absolutely clean(including bathroom) and seems relatively new! They play nice slow music that captures the mood along the Hudson River. Loved that the menu didn’t confuse me and that the server was very helpful… thank you so much!

Continue to come back with the work crew few times a year. Food is always good & consistent. Service… at times is better than other times. But over all a good option in the area especially in the summer.

I love this place. Beautiful view, great service, excellent food. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner on numerous occasions but yesterday was my first time going for brunch. The food was wonderful. Our waitress and the bus boy were super friendly. The view speaks for itself. Only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because I called ahead to make a reservation and the hostess told me that unlimited bloody Mary’s(like the mimosas) were included in the brunch. The waitress informed us that that was incorrect and that the hostess gave us the wrong information. That seemed a little odd to us that the person answering the phone doesn’t have the correct info, but we enjoyed nevertheless.

I was here once before and enjoyed it well enough. Today we took our family for our daughters birthday. Our 8 person party was seated at a plastic folding table, made to accommodate 6, with plastic folding chairs. We ordered food and 7 of the meals came out at the same time. My 8 year olds French fries and shrimp didn’t join us until 20 minutes and three different mentions to our waitress who actually rolled her eyes at us. We were seated towards the back corner of the deck next to the tents edge. The party on the other side of the tent(barely) were smoking about 15 feet from us while we ate. As we left I pulled the manager aside. We had already paid and not been difficult but I just wanted to let him know that we were displeased. He also gave me attitude and said I should have told him about the late food earlier when he could have done something about it and that the smokers were part of the boat club next door. He said there’s nothing he could do about it and I should be aware for next time we wanted to sit outside. Not a problem. There definitely won’t be a next time. Our food was good but the service including the valet service was terrible.

I don’t quite get the bad reviews on this place. I came here Friday evening, just in time to catch the sunset. Parking is a little tight but they have valet. No reservation? No problem. They seated us right away. Upon seating, we were greeted immediately. Food came out promptly. We managed to get through all 3 courses without tapping out. Everything we ordered was perfect! …“Why not 5 stars then?” Don’t worry, I’m getting there. One of my BIGGEST restaurant pet peeves is in the midst of eating, being brought over the check when I’m obviously not finished. When I want the check, I’ll ask for it.

After an exhaustive search for parking that almost threatened to ruin our beautiful, sunny, weekday afternoon, we finally squeezed into a parking spot not too far from the restaurant. We walked over to the establishment, only then to be ignored by hostess guy… great!!! I was not happy. After a few long seconds of standing there awkwardly, hostess guy finally took the time to raise his head to greet us. Thank you hostess guy for acknowledging our presence. Hostess guy’s non-existent customer service greeting obviously needs some tweaking. Aside from these annoying instances, all else was satisfactory. As for the food, we didn’t know what to expect from reading the mixed Unilocal reviews, but wanted to add another water view restaurant to our list. I made a reservation prior, but we found out this only grants you immediate seating inside. We were told by hostess guy, to go to the girl standing outside with the clip board to have our names and cellphone number added to the wait list. All this was fine, as we were in no hurry. After waiting less than 10mins we were called via cell by clipboard girl, who by the way was pleasant, and advised our table was ready. On our way to be seated, I made it a point to look around to see what the majority of the diners were eating. Our waitress, Tricia, came over shortly after and took our drink orders and the busboy quickly filled our water glasses. Tricia was absolutely amazing and made up for the slight hiccup in the beginning. She was friendly and attentive to our table as well as all the others she served. Her presence, customer service skills and demeanor were perfect… give that woman a raise!!! For our main lunch dish we both went with what the masses were devouring… the Lobster BLT. But for our shared appetizer we strayed a little and went with the Burrata to start. So glad that we did, as it was done perfectly. The burrata was served with the best sundried tomatoes I have ever eaten. They were not dried out and tough like most I’ve had at other establishments, but were melt in your mouth tender and tasted like macerated preserved jewels. I can’t explain the flavor and texture any better than that. I’ve never had anything like it. I really hope it wasn’t a fluke, because I would definitely like to come back to experience those flavor profiles again. The only blemish to the burrata dish were the rock hard pita bread/chips. The pita seemed stale so I just stuck with the creamy burrata and tomatoes… two out of three ain’t bad. Now to our main course, the Lobster BLT. The dish is described as being served with a ‘baby shrimp mayo’, which I understood, as they have to find a way to stretch the lobster. I generally dislike baby shrimp, but the concept worked as it was very tasty. There was an ample amount of fresh lobster mixed in with the shrimp mayo, plus bacon on a toasted brioche bun with a side salad of tomatoes and red onions which formed a pretty perfect combo. We left happy with perfect table service, food, drinks and a decent water view to enhance the experience. Pros: — Awesome, hard working waitress and busboy — Price /Fair(Mainly paying for water view) — Food — Phee-no-menal views of rolling hills under luminous white clouds, juxtaposed against steel dinosaurs constructing the Tappan Zee Bridge. Cons: –Cash only at bar –Parking is a nightmare unless you have a permit –The outside of the restaurant could use some updating.

I hate to give it a three star. We were so happy when we finished lunch. We both had the lobster BLT, which is a funny sandwich but I thought it tasted great. I actually put the bacon aside with the lettuce and tomato and took those home. I had a very good strawberry daiquiri for nine dollars, and got the required brain freeze during lunch. The wait staff is very nice. The deck tables, Chairs are a bit worn out and tired but it is the kind of place that you can really relax. It is not chichi but very pleasant. I can tell you lots of «regulars» come here and if you come on a nice evening you will have to use valet parking because there will not be a spot left. Very busy in the evening of course especially around sunset from my last evening visit.

It’s all about the view. Went to brunch buffet, not a fan of buffet style food(ever). the food was good, nothing exceptional. Had the seafood pilaf and baked salmon. The staff was pleasant, and did not rush us. Enjoyed the unlimited mimosas ;) The patio was nice, cool view of the Tapanzee and Hudson.

Great place to have a good meal and sit outside on a simmer night. A few notes though: they do not take reservations for outside only, you have to put your name on the list and they will call you on yourself if you’re sitting by the marina bar. Sunset is beautiful as is the deal with the Tappan Zee Bridge. Try their pizza or salad for an appetizer. The kale salad was very good. Being a vegetarian there was not much on the menu except a pasta dish with pancetta. I had them make it minus the pancetta. It was OK nothing to brag about just decent. My husband’s sole special was delicious he said.

Environment: a great view of Hudson River with Tappan Zee Bridge, beautiful sunset, no reservation at outdoor seating, first come first serve Food : Oyster — fresh, well rinsed Seafood Gumbo — delicious, wish I get more amount of seafood Salmon — good but nothing special Service: nice Price: fair Overall: won’t be in a list to come back Tip: if you want a beautiful sunset, there is a free park right beside the restaurant. There are some chairs and you can sit down, watch the pier, bridge, mountain, geese. It is not easily seen, hidden by the big berry tree.
