At «118 Degrees» everyone was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed talking with the servers, Kelley and Erin and co-owner, Sharyn Wynters, ND. I was so impressed with the food and with the people I met, I actually ordered some food to go and I also bought Sharyn Wynters’, book titled«The Pure Cure,» ‘A complete guide to freeing your life from dangerous toxins’. I’ve spent years searching and eating at vegan restaurants in many places in the U.S.A., Europe and China and the food was truly delicious; it looked beautiful, kudos to the chef for both taste and creative presentation.

I had dinner here last night with a dear friend and wow, it was wonderful. The ambiance is lovely, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food… the food was delicious. We tried several entrees so we could get a real flavor of the place and each dish was delicious. When we could not decide on a wine they even brought us a few tastes so we could pick just the right one. The presentation was spectacular and the tableside visit from one of the owners really made it seem like this restaurant is a labor of love. Being gluten free and vegetarian limits my choices for dining out and this place will definitely be on my favorite list.

Great food and place. Affordable prices for average person. No 5 stars because names of some items are totally misleading and/or downright not true. For example — «Fried avocado taco» is not fried. Why mislead, that only makes non-veg people compare it to something they are familiar with, fried food. Now, that set up a poor expectation and make it easy for them to dis the food. BTW, it’s awesome! Definitely on the gotta eat list. — Apple Cobbler is not a cobbler. A cobbler is a dessert with flaky crust and served in a bowl-like dish. I was very disappointed by this one. I was excited about a vegan«crust». Again, not only name it something that describes it, but don’t lie about it. Maybe it was the let-down from my anticipation of a cobbler, but I was also told it was a vanilla/caramel sauce, I didn’t taste any caramel. Would not recommend. — Even though other veg restaurants make this choice, don’t set-up non-veg people’s expectations, and therefore essentially ask them to compare, a veg cheesecake to the dairy type they are so used to. Just call it something like a mousse pie. Creating bad expectations, especially for non-veg people we’re trying to get to eat some veg delicacies, it only increases the likelihood they will be disappointed.

Opening weekend and firing on all cylinders. Dropped in late tonight and everything was tasty. A vegan group was filling the front patio and they were looking happy. Rolled tacos, zucchini pasta, Apple cobbler, smoothie — all excellent. I heard them on the radio on KFI today. Thought it sounded good and told my GF about it. She drive over for a afternoon snack and we returned for dinner. Friendly staff, chatted with owner, Sheryn and chef, Jenny. Five thumbs up. We will be back :)

I can’t even express how happy I am about this restaurant coming to the valley! I used to drive to Orange County for this amazing food! Chef Jenny is incredibly talented and the presentation is outstanding. For the amount of work that goes into creating raw meals(and it’s a lot!), the prices are still very reasonable. The avocado tacos are out of this world! And the miso soup I could have every day. Do not hesitate to give this place a try whether you are a voracious carnivore or a die-hard vegan like me… It’s just excellent food for everyBODY!!!

In one word RAWSOME! :) Gourmet vegan raw at its finest, with exquisitely delicious hand selected food from the earth, served in a beautiful and elegant presentation, cozy and comfortable setting, and great location on Ventura. Of course Sharyn and Annie are wise and passionate health gurus, and Jenny a masterful food artist, so expect a unique and fulfilling culinary experience for the mind body and soul.

This restaurant was amazing in lots of ways! Alongside learning lots of new fun food facts, I got some creative ideas and had a delicious meal full of nutrients and lots of color. I started with a yummy, green juice(literally saw them juicing the apples) … After that, I ordered pesto stuffed mushrooms alongside my friend who got the incredible zucchini lasagna. He ate it all up and was a huge fan. As a fan of hot dogs and hamburgers, I wanted to take him to experience another world. He said«Wow, so delicious. I don’t feel all bloated. I feel energized! «we ended the meal with a raw apple crisp. Delicious Apple a deal keeps the doctor away? I probably had two just in this meal alone highly recommend this joint. Our service was excellent too.(Thanks Kelly!) The atmosphere is clean, hip, and promotes a great community feeling.

When I told my husband that I wanted to try this new restaurant that serves healthy, live and raw, vegan foods he thought I was nuts, but he was willing to give it a try. I’ve always been a healthy eater, but I have been on a kick to step up my diet to get the most nutrients out of my meals. I was never really a fan of raw foods, but I thought it was time to give it a try. When we arrived at 118 Degrees we were greeted by the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were seated promptly. The restaurant has a cozy, relaxed vibe and it is decorated beautifully to represent the restaurant’s theme of raw food. As we perused the menu our waitress brought us the Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms. They were absolutely delicious! A great start to our meal! We ordered the Marinated Kale Salad, Verde Tacos and Florentine Lasagna. The kale salad had the right amount of dressing on it and was very flavorable. The tacos were excellent that presented different textures with just enough spice. The lasagna was fabulous! You’d think that it had real cheese in it. For dessert we had the apple pie that, if we could, we’d lick our plates! My husband was pleasantly surprised and truly enjoyed his meal. I loved the food so much that I will be ordering from their meal plan. We will definitely be back! To Sharyn Wynters, Jenny Ross and Annie Carradine, you have done a wonderful job with bringing an innovative restaurant to the people. Not only are the dishes presented with flair and taste, but the bonus is that they have healing properties too.

I’m back after attending the soft opening last week… I’m not a vegan nor raw food eater so I really need to rock my palate with anything different to satisfy my taste buds. I ordered the lunch sampler… with Fried Avocado Rolled Tacos, green salad with apples in a strawberry vinegrette, pesto rolls with coconut wrap & veggies with marinated Portobello with basil cheese topped by Apple cobbler for dessert. A four Star presentation delicately prepared by Chef Jenny Ross… scrumptious & heavenly!!!

Yum! I went in today to try the avocado tacos and I am definitely sold on this place. The avo tacos were fresh w/vibrant rich flavors. This dish did not taste fried at all(a plus). The pesto stuffed mushrooms were amazing as well. I was pleasantly surprised that a vegan joint in the valley could win me over. I think Lyfe(hoax) Kitchen can start packing their bags. I am not a vegan nor a vegetarian but after tasting how good it could be I may become a convert. The restaurant is clean and staff is very friendly. I am so happy to have a healthy delicious eatery in my neighborhood. I can’t wait to go back tomorrow and try something new.

This Is a great start to healthy eating and living. The food is all organic and living. The wines are delicious. The wines are all organic gluten free and some bio dynamic. The service was excellent. Our server Moira was very knowledgeable of the soft opening menu. She was very pleasant. The avocado tacos are my favorite. It has great texture and the right amount of crisp. Eveything is so flavorful and original. The coconut civiche is a must try. The atmosphere was inviting and green. Please go check them out and try the foods. So much health benefits in each dish. The prices are extremely reasonable for organic and hand craft foods.

This lovely spot will have me returning. Very pretty casual dining with a large comfortable patio. This area of Tarzana has really become a center for health and community. Easy parking. I do not eat primarily raw, although I choose healthy organic foods. 118 provides healthy raw food that is also delicious and attractive. Great option for raw to dine out, and just good healthy food for everyone else. And they serve biodynamic wine and beer!!! Servers were so friendly and excited about what they were serving. Healthy, delicious and cool environment.

Their meals, service and atmosphere was very enjoyable. We started our meal with the chocolate Maca Smoothie — it was not too large and just pwrfect for having along side our meal. Then we had the stuffed mushroom appetizers which were just right. For the main meal we had the stacked tomatoes and the Lasagna… yumz and we got to sample the ‘fried’ acocado taco… it was easy to hold and outstanding. For dessert we enjoyed the Blueberry chocolate cheasecake. Everything made for a memorable night. Thank you to the Chef, and management… I highly recomend a visit to this wonderful place.

I received an invite to the soft opening of 118 Degrees in Tarzana, I thought health food? But I went with an open mind. I walked in to a pleasant & well decorated environment, it felt very comfortable. The staff were so nice & knowledgeable. But I have to say the food is what won me over ! I have had a lot of vegan & vegetarian cuisine in the past but nothing came close to 118 Degrees ! They actually know how to make healthy food explode with great taste in your mouth ! To start my green juice was probably the best i have ever had, then the mushrooms with a great sauce ! I got a tip from the chef to order the Miso soup what great texture & taste a wonderful experience. The fried avocado tacos were spectacular with a great presentation ! Then the tomato stack looked fantastic with incredible taste in every bite I loved how the chef uses capers & olives to make a very unique taste ! Then chocolate cheese cake & apple pie Yum Yum !
