I love and trust Dr. Gourdji! He has been my stomach dr for years and he is very thorough! His expertise, diagnosis, care and knowledge makes me feel safe and well taken care of. I originally met him by accident, through tarzana hospital ER. He’s still my go to now that I get to choose. He is caring, professional and knowledgable! His office staff is great too! My only experience is with Barbara. She is fabulous!

Holy cow… where do I begin. Before today, could have given a 5 star… but after today’s experience with this doctor… one star is generous. I will give the reason for my 1 star, and leave out anything else.
I scheduled a procedure for my daughter almost two weeks ago, that I have had, as well as my husband, both under ‘twilight’ anesthesia. The ‘standard’ anesthesia is twilight. Doctor tried hard to high pressure us into having her put completely under (an extra fee of $ 400−600…which honestly has no relations to our decision, as if even if it was a ‘covered’ expense, I would have not been ok with it). I told him I was uncomfortable with putting her completely under if not medically necessary, as I am unwilling to take any risk for a procedure that is unnecessary (Just three weeks ago, a child died getting her wisdom teeth taken out while ‘under’ instead of ‘twilight’).
I scheduled the twilight a week ago. My daughter has been on a special diet for this past week, and taken the necessary medications, that result in her being in the bathroom for the past two days.
Two hours before her procedure, this doctor calls me to try an bully and guilt me into putting her under. TWO HOURS. And because we as a family had already decided that this was not an option and told him absolutely not, this doctor proceeded to insinuate that he obviously cared more about my daughters ‘safety and comfort’ than I did! And, TWO HOURS before the procedure (and after the 5 days of preparation my daughter went through), this doctor threatened to cancel her procedure if we did not do this medically unnecessary ‘option’.
No, we did not cave to his bullying. We passed. If he does not feel comfortable enough to do a standard procedure, using standard medical practices… then we are not comfortable putting our daughters safety in his hands.

Highly recommend Dr. Gourdji and his office staff. Always professional to arrange an appointment and to obtain followup information. Few medical offices are run this well. Dr. Gourdji is informative, kind and non-​rushed as well.

Been visiting Dr. Gourdji for almost 10 years. He is kind, sympathetic, and his entire staff always makes me feel comfortable in what is probably one of the least comfortable settings one can be in. I always rely on his expertise and caring nature.
