Michael O Lasky, DDS

Dr. Michael Lasky is an amazing pediatric dentist. We have had to see 4 different ped dentists because of some problems my preschooler had. We were coming off of a very bad experience with another dentist and needed a procedure done involving anesthesia (scary). Dr. Lasky was heads and shoulders above the rest. He is very bright, gentle and respectful of parent and child. He offers realistic advice and does not shame you or pressure you. The other dentists we saw all treated my toddler as if he were 6yrs old and should be expected to just sit and cooperate and if not, be forced to (ugh!) Preschoolers are at a much different place developmentally and he gets that. so far, he is the only dentist who has been able to get my child to fully cooperate with a cleaning. I didn’t like his anesthesiologist and his rates are pricey, but he is a great ped dentist so, 5 stars.

Wonderful dentist, excellent staff. Since this is more a ‘family business’ (Father, son and son’s wife, plus one or two additional younger dentists that are wonderful), it feels very welcoming and warm.
I love seeing their children’s photos on the walls, and watch them grow with my children.

He is always so gentle and nice to my daughter. She had 4 teeth pulled last year and I was so scared for her, but he made the experience very easy and comfortable. He is always on time.
I am hoping my daughter will not be one to never be afraid of going to the dentist when she is an adult. I know adults that go years without seeing a dentist due to their fear. What are they thinking?

I just took my two kids there for the first time after recommendations from other parents I respect. He made a very good first impression on me. He was thorough and detailed and explained everything to me in non-​condescending layman’s terms. He also has a lot of patience with the kids.
The only reason why I didn’t give him the full five stars is the fact that he is «out of network». I have insurance but since he is out of network they couldn’t tell me how much the visits will cost until after they bill the insurance company. So I could get a surprise in the mail. Cross your fingers.
