Phillis & I had breakfast this morning at Zacs pressed for time We had our pup Jane with us so we ate outside in their covered patio. Very pleasant. Phillis ad the vegetable omelet and enjoyed it very much. I had the meat lovers scramble it was huge and very tasty. A lot of meat, cheese and two eggs cooked perfectly. Brought about 2⁄3 of it home for 2 more meals. It was Sunday morning and we were the only customers. I hope that changes as they are the only Restaurant in downtown Tavares open for breakfast on Sunday

Working so close to this restaurant has been great and when they were at their old location they were awesome and the food was excellent. Never had a problem. Now, they have moved to a bigger place down the road across from the court house and each time now we have ordered, there has been a problem. One morning we ordered breakfast and not all of us got the biscuits we ordered because they ran out, which could be understandable. But they also forgot one co-workers sweet tea. Again, we had great service before so we didn’t worry. Then, my boss, who eats there EVERYDAY said that his sandwich was not the greatest and they went up in their pricing. Today, a co-worker and I ordered lunch at separate times. She got her lunch without her side, I ordered mine and they forgot my sweet tea. Not to mention that when I called to order after 1:00, I didn’t get my lunch till 2pm. We had to send the woman back to get my tea and they still forgot my co-workers chips when they brought my lunch. Now I am sitting here with my lunch and I am extremely disappointed. The sandwich was like thrown in the box, no mayo, ketchup or buffalo sauce to be seen, just dry bun and the fried chicken on it is over cooked. So heartbreaking since we have always loved Pressed for Time. I am not sure that all the new changes are great ones. I am hoping and praying that kinks just need to be worked out and they will get back to where they were because I spent $ 15.00 total with tax for sandwich, chips and a drink and to have it be so sub-par is no bueno!

This is a popular lunch spot for people working in the downtown Tavares government complex. I get a star spring salad(spring mix, candied pecans, Gorgonzola and mandarin oranges) at least twice a week and sometimes treat myself to an authentic Cuban sandwich with rice and beans. Call ahead for pickup if you’re in a rush skip the often slow delivery.

What can I say, this place is awesome. This is my second time having lunch here and both times it was outstanding. The service is fast & very friendly. I’ve had two different sandwiches and two different soups and everything was perfect. The Cuban sandwich is outstanding. Can’t wait to come back again. The only very slightly negative is the general appearance of the inside.

I LOVE this place! The food is fantastic and you are always greeted with a smile! All the sandwiches can be pressed like the Cuban. They are all good and the chicken salad wrap is incredible! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual place to have lunch.

Went for late lunch on Sunday(close at 3) They made a decent and attractive sandwich for $ 6 – 7. Not a five star dining experience but the rating implies that it is A-OK and I wouldn’t mind going back for a quick sandwich.

Cute little restaurant within walking distance of Wooton Park in Tavares. We stopped by to pick up lunch for our group enjoying the lake on Memorial Day weekend. They have an assortment of sandwiches, wraps and HUGE salads. They also offer a few types of cookies and cake slices. I ordered the turkey melt which was a pressed sandwich of turkey, bacon, may and cheese. It was very good but a little bland. My side of potato salad was very good and was nice and refreshing this hot day. They have a large covered eating area and a smaller dining area inside. The counter set up is a little awkward but our food was cooked quickly while we waited. Canned soda, iced tea and lemonade are available to drink. They do deliver, but I was told only when they«weren’t busy». So I guess we’d have to take our chances next time.

Kind of a funky lookin’ shack, but the Cuban sandwiches were really darn good. And the woman behind the counter was a sweetheart. I recommend.

Everything on the menu is homemade and fresh. Great Cuban and chicken salad sandwiches. They strive to live up to their name. However, the lunch crowd can quickly overwhelm. Tip: call in your order before you visit.
