The café really is as cute and indie as it appears online– absolutely gorgeous. But as far as the food goes, I was completely disappointed. I waited atleast 20min for the quiches I saw everyone raving ab, but what finally arrived was tiny, burnt and salty. My iced chi latte was also pretty meh. I think I’d give it another go round before completely writing them off, but not in a rush to return anytime soon.

This is our 2nd visit in 2 days. Best place for breakfast/lunch we have found around. We were pleasantly surprised our first visit here. Wide variety of beverages. Coffee choices we tried were all good. The food is very fresh and high quality. Somewhat pricy but worth it. Menu is somewhat limited. Wish there was fresh fruit, and chicken opinions. Atmosphere is great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This is a very cute surprise. The staff was very friendly and nice. The place was clean and modern but we a vintage vibe. The pastries and coffer were really yummy and homemade. I would definitely recommend this place for a small breakfast.

Adorable place with great food and very relaxing atmosphere. It is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating inside and outside. He look from the outside is deceiving of how large the place really is. The food was excellent and had great presentation — we had coffee with almond croissants, goat cheese quiche, croissant and ham and cheese sandwiches — and all of it was fresh and delicious.

Nice clean coffee shop with a plethora of tables and good coffee options. The girl behind the counter was apathetic(a bit friendly, a bit not) and it took a while for the heated croissant to come out, but it was a good rest stop before heading to Marathon.

Incredible pastries and delicious breakfast food. We had an awesome almond pastry, coffee, feta and vegetable quiche and a ham and cheese and egg croissant. Mmmmmm. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. Would definitely go here again!

Drive here from Islamorada for true espresso drinks and really good pastries. Not caramel covered whipped cream sugar bombs in giant ICEE plastic cups, but Italian espresso with great beans. Beautiful service. Better coffee and environment than Biton and Midway by a fair margin. Drink was made as requested. Barista merits the term barista.

Loved the staff! Very friendly. The coffee, food and wine was reasonably priced and delicious. The ambiance is also very relaxing. I sat here for a good hour charging my phone whilst enjoying my wine. Never felt rushed to leave or anything. Any staff member leaving or entering was very nice by greeting or saying goodbye. highly recommend!

Adding to the chorus of happy early morning diners :) This lovely café has wonderful coffees and both savory and sweet breakfast choices. I loved that there were two vegetarian quiches and I chose the goat cheese vegetable one which was yummy. Mom had the ham and cheese croissant and a coffee. I loved my pretty mocha too. The surroundings are lovely — modern pretty indoor seating, and lovely garden outdoor seating. Would be glad to come back if I am in the area again :)

Ok. Place is really nice. Ambiance, food, service. Egg casserole is a must and pastries are good quality. Parking is a problem thou… The only available spots are across the street close to the driveway.

I was famished and needed to stop before I started to gnaw on my dear other half’s leg… We stopped in here since it had a restroom and good looking pastries. The ladies behind the counter were kind enough and I went with their recommendation. The house specialty which is the almond croissant. I didn’t see my go to coffee drink café au lait. I asked if they could make it. They said they didn’t know it. I said never mind. They insisted. Mistake. I asked for it a certain temperature. And just… Wow. I didn’t want to have them make it but they insisted. And it was such a mess!!! She burned the milk, after I told her only 135 degrees. I tossed the coffee. The almond croissant? I was told people drive from miles around for them. I’m not sure why. I guess if they’re the only game in town, I can understand it. But the almond croissant I consumed on that day was definitely not a five star pastry.

Our first breakfast in the Keys, charming little place, had the egg casserole, excellent & only $ 6, also a caffe latte which was very large for the price & cheaper than Starbucks Would highly recommend it!

For years I’ve drove pass this Moka Café and never stopped in. Being from key west driving out of the keys is like a dentist visit, you just have to do it sooner or later for one reason or another. One day we stopped here accidentally and it’s been a routine ever since. Great adult atmosphere, great coffee, nice pastries and sandwiches, soothing music and a wonderful staff. If you need to unwind with a drink they also have wines and craft beers. Nice break from driving every time I stopped by.

Cute little French café, a welcome treat in the middle of nowhere tavernier. Cappuccinos and croissants — almond croissant was to die for, ham and cheese delicate and flaky. Go here for a classy breakfast and sink softly into your day.

This is what Starbuck’s wishes they could but will never achieve. They have great food and coffee. I am not a big coffee drinker but my girlfriend is and she said it was very good. We both got sandwiches, that were amazing, it wasn’t like those mini-pre-made sandwiches you get a Starbuck’s. I got the prosciutto & mozzarella sandwich, and it came with a salad. It took a bit for it to come out to us, but that was more than alright because it was definitely made to order. Go here for some coffee or if you are like me and don’t like coffee go here to get some food. You won’t regret it.

We’ve been here a couple of times, and always find it a little gem in Tavernier Key. As far as I know, this is the best coffeeshop and bakery in the keys. It’s not typical of what you would expect to find among the seafood shacks and Jimmy Buffett-inspired bars. However, it’s definitely got a local-flavor vibe. As you enter, you’re greeted by burlap coffee bags and grinders to the right, opening out to a Hemingway-esque space: white wood with bay-windows looking onto a tropical patio, leather chairs and wood tables, turquoise green accent wall, rafters of weathered wood supporting lazily turning fans(although the space is fully air-conditioned!), and maritime charts and photos on the wall. It looks keys. It looks upscale, but it doesn’t look stuffy. The space is a tranquil place to chill out. It’s clear that many of the customers that find their way in are regulars, as they knew them by name. However, they’ve treated even strangers like us as if we were regulars every time. We were in the mood for«affogato»(gelato with espresso poured over it). It wasn’t on the menu, but when we told them that we planned to make our own by combining the ingredients, the barrista happily offered to do it for us. It turns out she’s French, and was familiar with the French variation. She mentioned they don’t have it on the menu because«people aren’t familiar and find it strange» but said they’ve made it for some regulars. Then, while giving us flavor samples, educated us on the different flavor combinations used in France. We decided to not go with the whip cream topping — which she was playfully appalled at, since it seemed we wanted it ‘Italian’ — but she provided it on the side. Their gelato is very good, with unusual flavors that rotate. This time they had Chai, Salted Caramel, Hazelnut, Cappucino, etc., along with fruit sorbets like Mango. From our last visit, the almond croissants were also quite good. The Keys, I find, are often friendlier than Miami, with people more open. However, even in the more laid-back Keys, I found them to be delightful. It wasn’t just with us, as we sat and relaxed in the tranquil atmosphere, we noticed them being equally friendly with every customer. If you are anywhere near passing by, do yourself a favor and stop in. And try the Affogato.
