Hungry Howie’s Pizza

Horrible experience, not even surprised. Ordered online through the piece of trash Hungry Howies app. Would not accept my credit card for some reason or another (had this issue with online ordering through Hungry Howies app before) and was told to complete my order by calling in. After an employee answered and immediately put me on hold for 3+ minutes I was finally able to explain my situation to him. The reason I ordered online was to take advantage of a coupon code as well as the April deal as advertised on the
homepage. He had no idea which deals I was referring to, and I had to repeat my order after already fumbling around on the useless website for over 20 minutes trying to complete my order. He informs me that my $ 20 web order will now cost me $ 32 because I ordered over the phone! That’s over a 50% increase in price due to an error on the company’s end. The manager gets on the phone with the snarky neckbeard attitude that only a downriver pizza shop manager would have, and let’s me know that I «have» to pay the full price because I’m placing my order over the phone. Apparently it’s not his fault the website is down, so obviously the customers must incur the cost of his company’s faulty website. I cancelled my entire order and went straight to Dominos and had my pizza pie less than 30 minutes later! To top it all off, the next day I found out that I was double charged by Hungry Howies and they took $ 64 out of my account! What a crazy world we are living in. Talk about customer satisfaction.

I’ve ordered from here many times, as it is the closest pizza place to where I live. The workers are always friendly and helpful, especially if you’re not sure what you want, and they always provide their own insightful recommendations. I typically get the $ 10 large deep dish with flavored crust. They have online ordering too, but I usually just order in person since it takes around 10 minutes to get your order when placed. I’ve never had any problems with this location, and it’s my preferred pizza place in SW Taylor.
I got a free pizza last time since the one they made had a small bubble in one of the slices, so they made me a new one and gave me both with an actual apology for my wait.
