Awesome breakfast burritos! Packed with cheese, hash browns, eggs, and choice of meat. You have to try it with their salsa!

We just ate there and everything was fantastic. The employees were very friendly. My teriyaki chicken sandwich was fantastic. And the fries. .well let’s just say they use lawrys seasoning and yummy. Absolutely recommend.

25 min to get one breakfast Barrio 20 min after ordering and after 3 other folks ordered after me and we’re eating, I asked about my order and was told that the larger orders were made first and that I was now 2nd in line Got my order and guess what it was wrong Premo in Mojave is so much better and worth the drive

Hands down WORST chicken sandwich in my 46 years in this planet. The cook must have TRIED to make it this bad. It was the«special» maybe just cause it was freezer burnt or something. Just a ¼ inch thick piece of breaded chicken jerky. Horrible. After few bites just threw it away. Fries were good and that’s the only reason I gave it one star. Cause it ended up being an 8 $ side order of fries. Nice counter lady. Maybe their burgers are good but I challenge anyone to say anything good about the chicken sandwich.

The tri-tip sandwich was of poor quality — more like roast beef or shredded beef and very salty. The hamburger was also poor and seemed to have some filler in it. If you have to eat in this town then maybe try McDonald’s but it’s better to drive on to Tehachapi.

The food is awesome for a low price. The zucchini fries are incredible. My husband and I have gone back there half a dozen times since discovering this restaurant three weeks ago.

Probably not fair that I’m rating them during Tehachapi Mountain Days, but this ain’t their first rodeo either. To say the staff was stressed is an understatement which made them a little less friendly than I would like. They ran out of different flavored in the soda machine and tea. They didn’t have enough ketchup bottles(this is a burger place folks) so the waitress kept jockeying them around, takin ours before the meal was finished. She did ask so it was fine, but come on! I’m guessing a lack of burger places for competition in Tehachapi must be the only reason they keep getting best of awards. The food was decent, but Nothing exciting. The variety on the menu was amazing. Breakfast whenever!!! I guess I should have had breakfast instead. Basic short order stuff. Nothing exciting.

Ordered the chili cheese fries, they were swimming in grease. Inedible and a disgusting, soggy mess. My 2 ½ year old had the chicken«tenders», they was no chicken! Well, there WAS this tiny, thin hard as rock layer of «chicken» surrounded by cement-like over-fried, burnt breading, needless to say my son couldn’t eat it. My sister had the burger and fries, she found a small curly hair… Staff was not pleasant. Like, okay you don’t want to be here, but why make customers feel like they don’t want be here either? Place was filthy, our table was covered in splotches of old syrup. The soda machines were covered in drops of old soda splash marks and God knows what else… We will not return. Also, after eating here my sister spent the rest of the day in the bathroom. I was spared.

Let me start off by saying that I eat at the Primo’s in Lancaster alot and it is good. I have tried the Mojave location a few times and it has been really good. The Tehachapi location on the other hand was awful. We walked in and stood there for awhile until a young girl finally came up to take our order. I got a beef dip combo and my husband got a breakfast meal. I asked for my roll to be toasted, it came out literally wet on the bottom which was weird because the meat was really dry. I got no au jus and had to go up to the counter to get some. My husband’s pancakes were rubbery in the middle and crispy/hard as rocks around the edges, definitely microwaved. The fries had about eight pounds of seasoning salt on them, not only on the fries but piled up on the plate under the fries. So disappointing, I will stick to the Mojave and Lancaster locations from now on.

I love getting their primo burger in a lettuce wrap! It’s great for celiacs because they have separate fryers and I am able to get French fries as well. Friendly service and great place overall. Love that I can call in my lunch order and pick it up quickly. I’m never disappointed with a lunch order from Primos.

I have been to this Primo burger location FOUR times, before deciding to post this review. Every. Single. Time. Their food is disgusting, makes me sick, and costs way more than I would expect to pay for dog food. Even the fried mushrooms & fried zucchini are gross because the batter on them is way, way, way too thick, hard & crusty. Nothing tastes fresh. The first time we went there, it was an hour and a half before they closed, and the girl at the counter said«if you want to get anything, it will have to be to-go. We close in an hour». I should have turned my ass around and left, but I wanted so badly to like this place, and we ended up scarfing down our food in the restaurant because I knew it wasn’t going to take me over an hour to eat a burger. The tables in the restaurant are always dirty, the girls at the front counter are always rude and playing on their cell phones, and there are weird hand made signs by the soda machine that say something about limiting the amount of sauces you get. I tried to give this place several chances, but I think it’s a bust and this place just sucks.

This place is a great place to get a burger. It has a small diner feel to it. The wall of option can almost be overwhelming though. But there is an option for how ever you feel.

The food was on the low end of being just OK, nothing special at all and it was maybe room temperature to cold when it came out to us. Any questions we had about the menu the girls couldn’t answer, they had to keep going back to the cook and asking him. We got a cheesesteak sandwich, chili cheese fries, a cheese quesadilla, and a drink, for that it cost us $ 18. The tables were dirty, and there were only 2 other customers in the place with us, there were 3 girls just standing around in back behind the counter. My 3 year old spilled her drink, my husband went and told the girl at the counter, she brought out a mop and handed it to my husband, a few minutes later she pushed out the mop bucket and walked away, so my husband had to mop the floor. My husband then went to the restroom to wash his hands, he came back warning me not to use the bathroom because it was dirty and disgusting. Needless to say, we will never eat there again.

Primos in Mojave is better than the one here in tehapi. But the food is the same at both locations and like both good classic American style food and they have Americaized Mexican food which is cooked well. The main problem with this Tehachapi location is that it service is often lacking and the tables are often dirty even in off times of day which shouldn’t happen.

We have been coming to Primo Burgers for many years now. Started at the Mojave store and when Barbie opened this one up in Tehachapi we have been coming up here. The food is always good and you get a lot for what you pay. Good place for a burger and more.

Their hamburgers are really good. However, dont order their burritos. I posted a picture of my burrito. Very dry. No flavor. They did not used shredded cheese. Salsa was not authentic.

Great food, great prices! Huge variety and fresh taste. My only con is that most employees aren’t very friendly. You can tell they look exhausted and are dying to get out of there. One time my boyfriend and I made a phone order and arrived 20 minutes later, «When it would be ready» and then they said they were surprised we were there. Like wtf? I’m guessing most people who call in their food don’t show up? Either way that’s not cool to make us wait even longer.

Two reasons: 1. Chorizo burrito 2. Salsa bar hot enough to earn my respect. I have to cut the rojo with pico de gallo. 3. Hispanic waitress is cute(extra credit) +1

I have been to this place a bunch of times as an early morning breakfast stop off on long bike trips. It’s a perfect greasy spoon type place for hot breakfast when it’s cold and you want to get off of the bike for an hour. Nothing flashy, just honest breakfast food. I’ve never had a burger from this place and I’ve never had breakfast from the other location in Mojave but I certainly prefer this location. Im back to this place whenever rambling through Tehachapi!
