Loved staying here for 2 days during a wedding. Got a great groupon deal here and if we’re ever in the area, would definitely stay here again. Our room(#5) was super cute– high vaulted ceilings, comfy comfy bed, and large step-down bathroom with claw-foot tub. We took full advantage of the cute balcony by enjoying breakfast here both mornings. My only complaint was that we felt a little forgotten about when trying to check in. I was told to give them a call 2 hours ahead of time to let them know when we’d be arriving. When I called at 11am, they said they would call the housekeeper to clean the room, and give me a call back… which they didn’t after several hours went by. We called to check the status of the room around 1pm but no one answered and we even stopped by the office, but they were on lunch. Finally, around 3:30, I was able to reach someone, and they sounded like they had forgotten about us, «Oh yeah, I still need to call the housekeeper and see if she’s done…» The room was indeed ready for us, but I would have really appreciated being called as soon as it was, so we weren’t in limbo with no place to stay. We were exhausted from the night before and really wanted to lay down before the rehearsal dinner that night, but it was too late. I understand this could have been a busy day, so I wouldn’t hold it against them– I would suggest giving them ample time letting them know when you’ll be arriving, however.

not sure why we experienced only so-so reviews on other websites. this place was great! it was small, but it had all the amenities that we needed. it was incredibly clean with a very large bathroom, shower and clawfoot tub. there were skylights and lots of windows so it was very bright at all times of day. you could even see the stars through the windows over the bed. it was a king sized bed. there was a small kitchenette(with fridge, microwave, sink, tableware and a few dishes) so you could bring your own simple foods for picnic dining and small breakfasts. it had its own deck(we stayed in the #3) where we kept our mountain bikes, but it also provided a great spot for afternoon reading. it has a small bistro table for eating and/or reading/doing work with a great view fro the upper windows. AND this place is STEPS from the gondola. literally!!! and two blocks from main street(colorado avenue). there are several other rooms(5 in total i think). 1 and 2 appear to be on the first floor which might not be as nice, but i was not in either so i cannot say… you won’t get the view or the deck though… 5 i have no idea about… i think that may be considerably larger… in the winter this place MIGHT prove a little more difficult due to the access of the rooms(you have to shuffle through an alleyway between houses, and i imagine that could be slick) but otherwise, what a great space in a prime location! it is not huge, but really when you are in telluride, how often are you going to be spending time in your room? get out and explore! we will definitely be back! perhaps once the snow falls! thanks!!!
