Had the best relaxing day tasting some very good Red wine. We were treated like royalty! Tammy took such great care of us that we didn’t want to leave! The view, the service and the wine is amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding wines, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Leroy is engaging and will tell you EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about the Temecula Valley and the local wine country history. We were so impressed with this winery that we became wine club members. We have been coming to Temecula since there were only 4 established wineries… and this is the first one that made joining their wine club a true pleasure and«no brainer». We have brought many friends to Chapin as our guests for wine-tasting. Always we have been treated like«family». Please include this winery on your next trip to wine country. Family owned, small, and«delicious». Just keep going out Rancho California Road… nearly to the end… save the best for last!

I love the wines here! This is a classier winery with a beautiful view. The people here are very friendly. The wines are delicious and they have a sparkling and a sweet wine on the menu as well. They sell some small bites. I recommend doing your tasting outside so you can enjoy the view as well.

Steve is rude and not very friendly. we were parked in his lot and after paying for tasting and not buying anything we decided to go across the street to Doffo. He told us if we were going to go over to Doffo then move our car from his parking lot. What a Richard!!!

Great winery for big and bold red wines, the barrel wine they had for the 2016 Temecula Valley Barrel tasting Event was outstanding, a must try if you like these type of wine. They are the last winery on the main road in Temecula that is open to the public. The views of vines and hills are beautiful from this location. The food for the event was also perfectly paired with the food served, looking forward to visit this winery again.

This winery looks like a house which makes it a very comfortable atmosphere. The reds are outstanding! The Malbec and 2012 Zin are great and the Aglianico and Montepulciano are fantastic! Servers are very friendly and knowledgable. The patio is very comfortable, has a great sunset view and is dog friendly. The servers come to your table on the patio to serve you tastings/glasses of wine. You can buy local made cheese with crackers too. Only thing is, they are on the very tail East end of the wineries on Rancho California Rd., so I suggest going there first and work your way back West. *Note– red wines are much better than Doffo’s reds next door and for about half the price/bottle.(I did not try whites on this visit)

We were married here last month! I honestly am so thankful we found Chapin. You hear so many horror stories about wedding venues and none of that was the case with Chapin! Laura was our wedding coordinator and she runs all weddings out of the winery. She is incredible. She knows plenty of vendors in Temecula but when we had other vendors in mine she worked really well with them! You get the whole winery, not just one room and it was such a relief. We were able to get ready onsite and had access to some amazing spaces for photos. We got endless compliments on the views and setting. The biggest thing for me was the staff though. They make Chapin special. They took great care of my family and friends. and us on all of our pre-wedding visits. Also the wine is some of the very best in all of Temecula.

My favorite winery in the valley. Great service, always friendly and ready to answer any questions we have. Fantastic reds, especially the merlot and syrah.

Chapin is, by far, the best winery in the Temecula area. The tasting room is relaxing and beautiful and LeRoy is a great host. The wines are fragrant with deep and rich taste. The high prices are the only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating.

The vibe is completely non-family-friendly with the staff greeting us by telling us all of the places where they kids could not go(which was pretty much everywhere but our table) as well as constantly reminding us to keep the kids in our sight at all times and how dangerous the grounds were because there might be snakes! We ended up leaving a half glass of wine on the table because we became so uncomfortable having the kids there. Not all of the wineries have to be kid-friendly and we completely respect that. Chapin has a beautiful setting with a wonderful view of Temecula’s countryside and their wines are second to none. Just plan to come on one of those rare days you are kids-free.»

Expensive but delicious wine tasting. The lead man behind the bar — Leroy I think was his name — is a hoot and extremely knowledgable about this family’s vineyard and winery. They have a large assortment of wines — reds, roses, whites, sweet, dry, sparkling, etc. They all struck me as expertly made. $ 15 gets you a tasting for 5 wines, so they are a little pricier than the typical winery in Temecula but again, I did really enjoy all of them. The atmosphere is both classy and casual and the small plot of land and patios are beautiful.

I love this winery. It is not only lovely, but it is true wine tasting. Not too busy, probably because it’s at the end of the trail, but after all the crowded wineries it is nice to relax and enjoy. You must try their Zinfandel port. Yum! Also, I became a member, so I’ll be visiting more often. Yay!

Chapin Family Winery is by far my favorite winery in Temecula! It is a smaller family run operation and their winery is just stunning. They have a wrap around porch that you can sit and relax with friends with phenomenal views of the Temecula valleys. They have a very good sparkling wine that is on the sweeter side however not super sweet definitely a wine to can enjoy anytime! If you visit this winery plan on staying for a couple of hours as it is easy to loose track of time while enjoying the views, friends and of course the wines. This winery should be a must stop during any visit to Temecula!

Love the wines, friendly customer service and beautiful atmosphere! We said no more wine clubs, but couldn’t resist the family friendly environment and rich red wines! The owner is also the winemaker and so sweet, kind and genuine.

Chapin offered an authentic vineyard experience. This is how a family operated experience differed from a «business» winery. Located across from a breathtaking view, the wide farmers porch held near 24 people while we attended and left room for dozens more. We’ve found our location for our summer family and friends event. We opted for the 7 pours sampling during this visit and were simply blown away at the clear superior quality of the wines we sampled. I’m a fan of smokey dark reds and after my visit I have also found a great appreciation for well made whites. I didn’t know whites could taste this smooth. As most winery locations want you to buy their meals, it was great that the owner Steve and our tender Tami offered that we could enjoy our own picnic on the patio with the sandwiches we brought while we enjoyed being served, and educated about their fine selections. This winery doesn’t distribute to markets, which adds to the unique and authentic experience of visiting a one of a kind establishment. By visiting, we found the experience offered a true winery visit and we happily took home our favorites to enjoy with friends. As an avid traveller, please consider my recommendation to make Chapin a stop on your winery tour visit, and do it around two PM when you want to let the day rest and enjoy a couple of hours of blissful relaxation with people whom you will consider friends every time you return to Temecula. This IS the winery you’ve been looking for.

I was rather disappointed with this winery. We had a prior reservation for a friends birthday. It was a rainy Sunday in April which made it all the more disappointing. They were not busy due to the weather and I would have thought they would have been all the more accommodating since we brought 40+ customers to their winery. We had made one winery stop previously and they had hinted at us «drinking too much prior to this visit.» I felt insulted and they cut us short despite paying for a full tasting. I have been to numerous wineries and have had many tastings and have never seen a place with such cheap pours. They were literally one ounce pours, governed through a pouring tip to make sure there wasn’t any more poured. We «left» or were showed our way out before our 5th tasting. Definitely wont be coming back here or recommending it to anyone I know. There are far better wineries to choose from in the Temecula valley that know how to treat customers properly.

If you are looking to host an event in wine country this is the place! I was fortunate enough to host my graduation party there on March 22nd on the gorgeous patio. The ambience is casual, yet elegant and the view is spectacular! Laura is the event coordinator there and she is kind and so accommodating. She has great recommendations for catering and any other needs you may have. She is there to make sure your event goes smoothly and she is very experienced. Awesome! Steve the owner is extremely accommodating. He must be the most reasonable owner out there! He really wants people to have a good time and enjoy his place and his wine! Wow what a nice man! The excellent team that works there is so friendly and knowledgeable about wine! The wine is excellent!!! The team also is so courteous and will work hard to make sure you and your guests have a evening to remember. I highly recommend Chapin Family Vineyards for an afternoon or an event! You won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you so much to everyone there!

Steve is amazing. This winery is better than the wineries I’ve visited in Napa and in New York State finger lakes/Long Island. The Petite Sirah, the Zinfandel and the cab are stellar. The personalities and service is outstanding. Left with a case and a membership. I’ve been there several times and cannot wait to return. Steve, thank you to one of the greatest wines I’ve had.

Came here on a recommendation by a friend who works in the wine industry, asking the question who in Temecula makes quality wines? He told me I have to visit Chapin !! I was not disappointed at all :) The Syrah and Zinfandels they are making here are absolutely fantastic, I was also able to meet the owner/winemaker right behind the walk up wine bar. Ended up taking three bottles home and I will be back soon. Five stars !
