Good food, price on some items a little pricey. Great family owned and family friendly atmosphere. Various locations. San Diego, California location my favored spot. Try it once. I’m sure you’ll return again and again.

Well, this location is still in-business and I haven’t been back. When I need my Filippi’s fix, I go to the Little Italy location – in San Diego. They’re the best! :)

Love this place. I have been going for years. Close to 40 years in fact. Best locations I have found are the Escondido and Temecula. Among the best pizzas around.

Food is good but FAR from healthy. Need whole wheat spaghetti and bread at least but like most restaurants don’t care

Filippi’s is a busy Italian restaurant with a casual environment. Seems like quite the family friendly place. My family got the feast for two, which realistically serves four people. For $ 20.95, you get quite a lot of food: a basket of bread, two salads, one 10″ pizza, and two plates of spaghetti and lasagna. We’ve ordered this a couple times, and each time we had leftovers in the end. While the portions are large, I find that the food is completely mediocre. There wasn’t anything in particular that wowed me. The meat sauce they use tasted watered down and lacked meat in general. I actually prefer store bought pasta sauce over Filippi’s. I think the food is just a little too homemade tasting. Overall not super impressed with my experience here. It was okay, just okay.

Very, very, very disappointed in this place. I asked if I could get Alfredo saus on my pasta instead of the marinara sauce or the meat sauce, because I get really bad heart burn, and was told it would be an extra $ 7 for a bowl of Alfredo sauce and my pasta would still have the meat or marinara sauce on it. Seriously $ 7 freakin dollars for something that could easily be substituted. I would have gone to Olive Garden.

We have gone to almost all of the original Filippi’s, including the Temecula location on several occasions. My wife wanted to get Pizza for the Super Bowl, and really wanted Filippi’s since we had not had it in awhile. She picked it up and brought it home, and it looked NOTHING like the pizza I remember. I remember thicker crust and all the toppings buried by the massive amounts of cheese. You NEVER order extra cheese here. What we got looked like thinner crust and not the cheese I remember. I was really disappointed, as was my wife. I thought it was edible, but my wife hated it, and she LOVES Filippi’s, at least she used too. We will stick with Round Table or that Italian place on Hunter Road.

Having been going there for decades. Started out in San Diego then in Temecula. Always was excellent, both food and service. Unfortunately today’s experience was unacceptable. I called the Temecula location at 2:30pm and ordered two large pizzas, two sandwiches and one ala carte order of lasagna. I was told thirty minutes. Got there at 3:01pm. Not ready. I saw a bag in back of the order area that caught mayhem attention. I asked if it was mine. I was told no. My order would be ready in a few minutes. When I asked did that mean Ten she didn’t know. For thirty more minutes I day and waited. I watched several people come in and ask to order. Two of the for girls working the front desk were engaged in a private giggling conversation. Another one was in the phone taking orders and the fourth just stood there. I kept looking at that bag in the back that didn’t move. After thirty minutes I asked about my order. She went back and got two pizzas and have me the bag that I had brb staring at. I felt the lasagna and it wasn’t even warm. I asked for a discount and the girl went in the back and brought out a hot one. When I got home twenty minutes later I looked at the pizzas. They weren’t warm, and looked liked they had sat awhile. This is the second time we had a problem. For $ 72 you would like to think you would get warn food. I think the problem is the front end. The waitresses all looked busy. When Pat worked the front end it ran beautifully. Management should watch this as I left I heard another customer complaining . There are several other pizza restaurants in Temecula and I think it might be time to find another one.

This place is incredible!!! Great service and food! They give huge portions too. Their pizza is super delicious and they make their own sausage! I ordered spaghetti and the sauce was incredible. The lunch special is only $ 20 and it comes with a TONOFFOOD.

Been coming here since 1997 when this was one of the only places around to eat. I’m pleased they continue to do well. This is a nice family-oriented Italian restaurant. Food is very good, service has always been consistently good, and just a comfortable place to go back to. The prices are low, and the helpings are large. Bring your appetite if you order the softball-sized meatball. Highly recommended.

My favorite Italian restaurant! Everything here is delicious and so yummy. I always order a large antipasto salad and a pepperoni and pineapple pizza… be prepared to take home left overs as their portions are large and easy to share with others. Its very good you wont be disappointed ! –pizza –salads –family specials –subs

The location in Escondido is 120% way better. Not once have I had a complaint and I have been going there for 4 years. Well this location is the complete opposite. We have been here a few times and it’s pretty good. However the Italian dressing is crap compared to the Escondido one and the pizza is really crappy as well. My fiancé and son went here last night and from the minute we sat down we knew it wasn’t going to be good. It took 15 minutes before getting our drinks. That was the first sign of disaster. Second sign was we ordered a salad with Italian and ranch on the side. The waitress was so rude asking if we wanted it mixed. After we said no we wanted them separate she asked again«you want them mixed?» We of course said no separate. She then explains its an extra charge. Really?!? This doesn’t happen at the one in Escondido. Why would you want them mixed? Ranch and Italian? We all shared the salad so that’s why we wanted two different dressings. Next we get our pizza. Which was way over cooked and dripping with grease. It was like eating a tortilla chip with oil and sauce on it. After one piece I felt sick. The whole experience was just simply terrible. We had to ask for napkins at least 3 times before our waitress finally brought me two napkins. At one point I got up to ask for our check because we sat there forever waiting for it. During this time there was a family next to us letting their infant bang a spoon on their plate and the gramps talking with his mouth full super loud. Between that, the terrible service, and the terrible food we will not be returning to this location. EVER. Even when we complained to the manager about our food she laughed and said«why didn’t u send it back?» I told her my 5 year old couldn’t wait another half hour for another pizza. She just walked away and did not offer any type of discount or coupon for next time. I suppose it didn’t matter considering even if I was offered a free meal I would not come back here. I don’t think words can describe how mad I was and how terrible this experience was… Or the fact we just spent 30.00 for garbage. Go to A Carinis in murrieta for authentic Italian in town. Really good place and their deserts are homemade everyday. DONOT waste your time or money here!!!

I have always enjoyed eating at Fillipis, which is a long standing italian restaurant in Temecula Valley. You walk into a casual italian atmosphere paired with red check tablecloths and brick wall accents. The best option for a family is the Family Feast, but since I was on my own, I chose canneloni from the lunch special menu. The dish was good, maybe not the best I have had, but definitely a delicious comfort food. The salad was mostly iceberg and the house dressing did not taste homemade. I loved the fresh italian bread that was served with the meal. Overall a delicious lunch!

OK, I would give this place a 5 for the food. BUT, there is always a but, the service is awful. I mean all the waitresses accept for 1 is very nice. The rest r to busy talking to care about the people who come in and want to eat. When asked for a pizza holder a bloke old waitress rolled her eyes sat the hot boiling pizza down by a 3 and 1 year old and walked away to get one holder for 2 pizzas how rude. Her name was nore the rude one very very rude. I hope it had nothing to do with our ethnicity and just that she’s an awful server. Thank you Bree, for being nice and caring on a busy day.

Pretty standard, good, Italian fare. Quirks: red filters on the fluorescent lights and bleu cheese mixed with Italian dressing. Besides that, it’s got okay service, boisterous and casual atmosphere, and generous portions of Italian food. The food is solid but nothing to really write home about. I shared some eggplant parmesan with M. The breading was a bit heavy for me but it was still tasty. We had leftovers to bring home even though the two of us shared a single entrée!
