We ordered the diniguan platter and majority sauce with barely any meat. It had too much vinegar and not worth the price we payed. There was hair in the steamed rice and owner refuse to refund saying we put the hair ourselves. First and last time!

I would not eat here. It is missing some essential creature comforts… like: Either no air conditioning, or a temp gauge that is turned up way too high. Poorly designed entry and a cramped, cluttered feel. The kitchen is open and is smack dab in front of you as you walk in the front door. It is possibly one of the foremost contributors to the uncomfortable heat inside. Lackadaisical service. But I guess if I had to endure that heat all day, I would be slowing down too. Just keep in mind, once you enter, you are on Filipino time. Now, with those complaints out of the way, we did enjoy the food we got… to go. The Empanadas were delicious. The pastry dough was flakey, the chicken filling was perfect. We reheated them in our toaster oven the next day and they were still amazing. One of the best I have had the pleasure of eating in a long time. The Dinuguan. Mr. B is hooked on their dinuguan. Look it up if you are unfamiliar, but this is not a dish for the unsuspecting masses. Since our closest Goldilocks locations had suddenly and unexpectedly closed, he was about to commit Filipino hari kari(that would be death by eating a whole roast pig rather than by the blade of a samurai sword) until I casually mentioned this location was still in existence. Saved the day and my marriage I suspect. The Ensaymada was just as he remembered. Complete with white sugar and margarine smeared over sweet white bread then sprinkled with mild cheddar. Yeah, I know. Another form of hari kari, but one he does not indulge in often. His other indulgence was a small Bibingka, a sugary, spongy rice cake made with coconut milk, then baked in a fresh banana leaf to achieve an undeniably wonderful earthy flavor. While apparently a lot of the Unilocalers have problems with this restaurant bakery, it still has its merits. I for one will remain a «to-go» customer.

As long as this place stays open, I will never understand. Like Marcus D. said, this place is OVERPRICED! If you’re Filipino and you know the cost of making the kind of food they make you’d be outraged! I came here with my auntie bc she wanted some halo halo while waiting for her laundry to finish. Of course being Filipino we got better service than the non-filipinos that were there before us. Not cool. I tried their ube polvoron which also was over priced($ 12 for a small bag). The only reason I got it was bc I was high as fuck and wasn’t the one paying anyway. I miss back in the day when Goldilocks was crackin in Daly City(little manila) and everything was less than $ 5. I’d rather go to a less popular Filipino food chain restaurant or just the Filipino mom and pop shops to get my fix. OR I can just make it at home for the low low. Service is horrible here. I’m Filipino and I hate Filipinos. This place makes me hate Filipinos even more. Especially all the fobby cheap dark rude ones that don’t give a fuck you’re a paying customer. Just go out of business Goldilocks! I’d rather have a Korean BBQ place there instead! Mmmm KBBQ…

ABSOLUTELYTHEMOSTOVERPRICEDFILIPINOFOODAROUND!!! OVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICEDOVERPRICED! Everything here is so expensive and to top it off, the service is FUCKINWAACK!!! Worst service ever. I’m filipino and the food here is just«alright». Yes, you’re paying for convenience of getting your filipino food quickly without the labor, but damn, at the cost of customer service? Not worth the massive amounts of money to eat here. Case and point, shoutout to J.E. P. for busting them out on their CAKEPRICES. «A small cake $ 45+?! A half sheet for $ 75+?! « Yeah, that’s forreal. Halo Halo is the best around. Food is awesome! But again, for the price you might as well make it at home and it be just as good if not better. And I can guarantee you’ll get way more by buying it yourself and making it yourself. Super High Markups! But you pay for convenience. That’s it. Customer Service Sucks and it’s expensive as hell. I can’t stress this enough.

Here at Goldilocks in memory of my Uncle Vic. His favorite restaurant here in Temecula. Having the breakfast platter and some Halo Halo. Funeral in two hours. :’(

We’ve only been here a couple of times and the customer service, or lack of, probably isn’t something people come here for. We wanted to check out the desserts, specifically the cakes for our daughters birthday party. A small cake $ 45+?! A half sheet for $ 75+?! That’s insane. We like the mocha crunch and the mango cakes, but not for that price. We’ll pass.

Don’t like uncooked rice in my rice. Especially not at $ 1.99 for two little scoops between 6 people. Ended up spending almost $ 6 on steamed rice we could have cooked ourselves. This must be where their high markup is, knowing their dishes require plenty of rice to absorb the saltiness of the MSG in their dishes. The beefsteak tasted pretty good but the meat was too fatty; meaning it was cheap meat for a fatty markup. The chicken adobo was okay. Definitely would not go here again, at least for dine-in. Everything is priced really high for mediocre food.

Update: Ok to continue my review, 9:15 I decided to walk up to the door despite the«closed» sign. It was unlocked so my wife and i walked in and asked the man behind the counter if they were open. He turned to who appeared to be the person in charge to ask. She said they are open and led us to our table. We ordered some tocilog, longsilog and taho. We asked for the latter to be warmed which they did. Normally the taho will be sold to you in a plastic cup similar to those used for Boba teas but since we asked for ours to be warmed, they were served in stoneware bowls. The food showed up promptly enough and there isn’t really much to comment about it. The problem came when it was time for us to leave. My wife barely touched her taho and so she asked for a to go cup. The server who I think is also the owner, gave us a USED plastic cup. When my wife gave this puzzled expression on her face the server/owner assured us that it was the plastic cup that my wife’s taho came in before they poured the contents in the bowl for heating in their microwave. At this time there were other people already and we didn’t want to make a scene so we just used the cup and left. Two things that the incident above tells me: Since they still have the original plastic cup sitting on their counter half an hour after it was used, this means THEYDONOTCLEANASTHEYGO in their kitchen(a CARDINAL rule in food service, I know, I’ve been in this industry for 23 years) They will sacrifice quality to save a few cents. Who knows what else they cut corners on? Food safety/HAACP? Meat quality? Sanitation? Scary. Sad. My wife and I frequent this place for halo halo and monkey on a stick(pork BBQ sticks). After this incident I’m afraid Goldilocks is no longer on our list of places to eat out.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! I swear, why TF has anybody in corporate checked up on this place??? These people need customer service training big time!!! Every single time I come here its the same olé shiznet!!! Rude people, super unfriendly, serious lack of customer service ethics!!! WTF!!! The extremely rude ones are the old and slow one, the old fat one that writes on the cakes and the young girl that makes you move from a big table onto a smaller table(even if the place is empty) with the fear of not being able to seat a bigger crowd, although there are 5 – 6 big tables. The food isn’t all that great, its super over-rated and I only come here for cakes, pastries and halo halo. They are super rude, especially if you don’t appear to speak Filipino. Red Ribbon still rocks!!!

As promised, I came back to check what corporate promised to do: correct the issues that endangered this branch location. I was still afraid to order the Tinolang Manok(chicken in clear papaya soup) so I restricted to items chicharon bulaklak, kalbi and pork lechon kawali. Just as I was hoping, good quality is back! Service is much better, smile and warm accommodation is back. I am rating one star short because the rellenong talong was retired off the menu and when we asked for soup, the server excused they do not give soup. Tables and chairs were also upgraded, finally. Doing better, folks. I will review for more items. On pastries, the new Mango Cheese Cake is to-die-for.

Too bad the food is delicious! The front end service really sucks today(Thurs @ 2) I am in the virge of walking out. This older lady is not friendly and she is slow. Thank God the young man finisher his break and got back to us and took over. I don’t speak Tagalog but, I do hate it when I am ignored while the staff gets into long conversations in Tagalog with other guest who got there after me. This is a one time deal. This guys are great and their food is excellent.

Smallest Goldilock’s I’ve ever been to, but once the staff greet you, it feels like home. Strangely, there’s a number of non-turo-turo Filipino restaurants in the area, which is actually a little strange for me. This is an actual Filipino SIT-DOWN restaurant. Order, relax, conversate… We had the kare kare and the pork inihaw, both were toothsomely delicious! We were one of 3 – 4 parties at the restaurant and once we were seated service was quick. The bakery had the traditional labor-intensive Goldilock’s desserts, ranging from brace de mercedes to hopia. My one complaint, professionalism. If you come during the evening within an hour and a half before shut down, there is usually no one at the front to greet you except the line cooks that are immediately to your left upon entering the restaurant.(Btw, they don’t greet you and just stare at you until you’re seated by the hostess/owner?) In the past, I seldom went to Goldilock’s for their entrees because there were always better places, but because I can’t seem to get the kare kare out of my head, I will definitely be returning…

In the Philippines, it’s a battle between Goldilock’s and Red Ribbon. In my book, Red Ribbon is the runaway winner in almost every department. However, Goldilock’s has the advantage in the polvoron division. I just wish they made the coffee crumble variant in the US which is my favourite back in the Philippines.

I was disappointed by the lack of customer service and was hoping to give this place a try since I’ve been missing some good Filipino food. In any case, my husband and I waited about 15 minutes to be seated and were completely ignored by wait staff. Realizing that the woman behind was on the phone we opted to wait, but were astonished when she gave us a dirty look as she got off the phone and then proceeded to make another phone call rather than to seat us or even direct another waitstaff member to assist. If you read the reviews, you’ll see that this location is garnering a reputation as being racist and only assisting Filipino guests. I don’t want to believe that, but tonight’s lack of hospitality doesn’t disprove those statements. Please correct the issue as I would like to give this place another try, but will not return to a place where I feel unwanted.

Loved this place my girlfriend is Filipino her and her family introduced me to their food and it’s delicious What I love about their culture is, everybody eat and they make sure you’re BUSOG(I’m still trying to learn Tagalog) This place is nice and small Full of packed pastries Everything that was ordered was delectable From service to presentation of the food to flavor was a 5 star experience I had the grilled chicken it was really good You have to try the: Tosino Pansit Lechon(I was licking my fingers and I don’t even like pork that much) Please do not leave the premises without trying out their avocado shake and their halo halo and sagot gula man Warning if you’re going to try the halo halo you have to have an open mind. It’s chock full of surprises it’s so good we make it at home Hope this review helped

Overall, I think the food is okay. I’ve tried the pork BBQ, the pancit sotanghon, the lumpia shanghai, and the pancit bihon. They were all decent. Service was also friendly and fairly speedy(I’ve ordered to go and waited and I’ve phoned-in a togo order).

I wish I could like this place because I really want to like this place, but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. We came here with my in laws for a snack, we ordered drinks and some siopao. The guy that took our order was nice, when the drinks came out we noticed that they gave us two wrong drinks(Thai iced tea instead of iced Thai coffee). Now for our order, it took a WHILE to get our siopao, the funny thing is there was siopao in the little warmer that was located on top of the register and the place was not busy at all. Why it took them half an hour to get us siopao that they clearly have is beyond me. Also, someone at our party also ordered fresh lumpia, which sadly was one of the frozen ones! Parts of the lumpia was cold. So if you want to indulge yourself in long waits and high food prices, come on over here.

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this place, and some of them are completely b.s. I’ll start with the cons to the facility. cons: The space is limited and it gets VERY hot in the building, almost unbearably hot sometimes. Sometimes the service does take awhile for food. The prices are a bit high, but that is expected for home made, quality food. pros: golidlocks has some of the best Filipino bakery products ever made. Their Polvoron & ensaymada is delicious. You can also buy Pan de Sal and SioPao at this location. Delicious when fresh. I have never had an issue with their customer service, or any of their product. If you are familiar with Filipino food, you will know what to expect. All of the restaurant items are pretty standard. It is better to cook it at home if you know what you’re doing. I normally only come here for the bakery items, and occasionally a SioPao or HaloHalo.

Pretty average on service. Location was pretty descent and the parking. Could have moved the big ashtray off the entrance door. I got confused when I went inside since i have not seen any food cooked nor to point at. Deserts are tucked in the corner, tables are by the walls. For short its a bad design, feng shui. Will come back for sure but not to dine in. Looks unclean. Sorry.

Wow a minus 3 star rating. Rude staff and crappy service is to blame. Also higher pricing compared to the other Goldilocks locations. The only reason I would even consider coming back is if I were really desperate for some HaloHalo. P. S. They are also closed on Tuesdays
