My beautiful wife and I had the breakfast sandwich which was a croissant with eggs, ham, and spinach and the almond chocolate croissant. The food was excellent and the service was very nice. Bön appetite!

This was an excellent find on a beautiful Valentine’s Day morning. The owner took our order, served our food and busted our table! He was so kind. Had the omelette, pita sandwich, fruit Danish and macarons. All was fantastic! The Danish was one of the best I have ever eaten.

On my way out of Old Town after walking around for a while, I wanted some coffee before leaving. It was still early morning when I came across this little café which is tucked away in the bottom of a bigger building off fourth street. This place serves up fresh pastries that they make on site, espresso and regular coffees along with a small menu of breakfast items. While I didn’t come here for breakfast at all, their menu includes basic egg items, French toast, waffles, etc. Their French pastries() up front looked really good but I ended up just going with a simple cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. The drip coffee they were serving here was a great French roast blend of Kona, Rwanda and Yemen coffees. It was quite smooth and had great aftertaste. The café mainly serves as an outside dining/sitting place because the inside area is quite small and cramped. The limited room makes for not being able to form a good line queue when they’re busy like they were the morning I went.

The pastries are divine. I would not recommend the quiche at all. Grab an almond or chocolate almond croissant. Yummy!

Really bomb. So glad there’s a joint like this in old town. The owner is a really genuine guy. Accent and all. We ordered waffles and the breakfast sandwich. Eggs were well seasoned. The only complaint I have is the cappuccino was a little bitter. They play really good music to boot. I’m coming back. Fresh squeezed OJ and eggs from the owners backyard and it shows.

Are you sick of rubberized IHOP pancakes or the disgusting pig troff at Pechanga Casino? If you want quality, delicious food served by friendly staff then look no further! Server or manager or owner behind the counter is AMAZING! Always smiling and bending over backwards for your needs. Food is organic, fresh, and yummy. Croissant egg sandwich, fruit, and French toast was our breakfast. Wish we would have eaten there both days we were in town.

This place was FABULOUS! The food was amazing. I got the Pita à la Grecque. It was so great. They serve it with salad or fruit. It’s only $ 9 and it’s worth every penny. It’s filling and their eggs are phenomenal. They have great coffee, great service, it’s a great environment. I have no complaints about this place. I’ll be back.

Summary: Paris theme coffee shop. Good coffee, tasty pastries, and friendly service. This little coffee shop is located in old town temecula, and is tucked away on a side street off the main strip. They have the basic coffee shop items, both hot and cold.(Coffee/americano/cappuccino/latte/mocha/expresso) They have wonderful croissants and pastries, as well as breakfast/lunch menu items(French toast/waffles/sandwiches, etc) They have indoor and outdoor seating. Many of the tables are for 2, but there are a few tables for 4. Not really designed for large groups, just a nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee or take it to go. There is a restroom located inside for customers, and the shop is always kept clean. The workers are very helpful and friendly. I’ve only been here twice, but both times have been positive. The prices are average, and the coffee and croissants remind me a lot of my trip to Paris. I would recommend this spot and is worth trying.

Recommend: YES! Environment: small, casual, almost sterile inside despite the few bits of French décor. The music is unpredictable(I like that), but it can be too loud at times(I don’t like that). Tables outside with large bright umbrellas to shade you from the sun. Food: so far we have tried the breakfast sandwiches, the French toast, a spinach and Brie omelette, an almond croissant, various flavored of the macaroons, and the King’s Cake. Oh, and café Au lait and Mocha! Coffee? Yes, I would have coffee here or at Havana Kitchen, and that’s pretty much it locally. The breakfast sandwiches were quite delicious, however the eggs were not cooked soft as we expected(we discussed when ordering). Despite the overcooking, I was quite surprised that the flavor was still excellent(I have never had that before). The sandwiches themselves are not very easy to pick up and eat. Be forewarned that these are knife and fork sandwiches. The omelette was larger than I expected. It was quite thick and the spinach and Brie were cooked into it(not a separate filling in the middle). This was good, but I did not get much Brie taste throughout it. Only a very few small spots(like 2 or 3 bites) had a taste of Brie. Overall, the omelette was not my favorite, but I would say it’s worth a try. The side salad that accompanies the breakfast is an excellent combination of field greens, various available fresh veggies, and a drizzle of a vinaigrette, so the salad is not drowned in dressing, but rather accented by it. The French toast is a masterpiece! I only wish gluten didn’t hurt me and that the serving was larger! First of all, it’s not slices of bread soaked in a custard. This is more like taking a bread pudding base to make French toast. It has bits of nuts(if I recall correctly, almonds) and raspberries stirred into the bread mixture along with seasoning. Then the whole mash is cooked into a glorious dish of delight!(One reviewer mentioned feeling ill after eating this. I had no such experience with any of the food here on three occasions, now). Finally, the baked delicacies! What can I say? The macaroons, almond croissant and king’s cake are the best I’ve ever had. None of them are overly sweet. The King’s Cake was really mild and light. The almond croissant is so different from what we usually get here In the US. It was less sweet, and again like the king’s cake, mild, light, sublime! The macaroons: a little sweeter, but not too sweet. And the lightest ever! Oh, so, good! Okay, my only major criticism: why, oh, why would you serve canned spray«whipped cream» on anything in this establishment when the quality of the food prepared is so high? It is an abomination to the efforts and creativeness to spray that stuff anywhere near! (Just my humble opinion) Overall, I am so happy that Laurent’s has opened in Temecula, and I look forward to trying more of his creations. I highly recommend.

All the way, I’m a fan of this place when I walked in! The awesome music, beautiful delicious pastries, hot drinks, and friendly service. I came in here after walking out of a busy and crazy business and was so happy to find a place that I could do a bit of work. I was happy to see a menu where everything was just one price. They’ve got breakfast sandwiches, french toast, waffles, granola and fresh fruit, and so much more! They have lunch choices here too! I ordered the french toast and never have I had such a delicious french toast. As I sit here writing my review in the shop, I wish I had another to eat while I am typing this! Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard. Ok better! The fresh strawberries and whip cream on the side made the perfect marriage to the syrup and cranberries that were inside the french toast! YUM!!! I also ordered a vanille latte. One of my staple go to café drinks. Everything about this latte was prefect!!! The expresso wasn’t burnt or bitter like other well known places! They did it right here! I’m so happy I can find a place that knows how to make a delicious latte! I’m sad that they are about an hour away from where I live but at least I know, when I’m in town for a business meeting, I’m coming here for my fix of Temecula!

We SO wanted to love this place. Very disappointed. It was a bit disheveled, not as tidy and organized as expected. Although service was very friendly, took a while to get it due to the sole clerk having to tend to the cash register, coffee machine and tables. Girlfriend ordered a croissant and coffee; I got a latte. The pump-it-yourself canister of French Roast coffee was empty, and since the clerk was now tending to another customer, girlfriend did not want to wait again for her attention, so settled for another coffee in a second canister. Croissant was tough and doughy… not a light, flakey French pastry as expected, so girlfriend took a few bites and tossed it. Earlier in the week, we had Trader Joe’s frozen croissants you bake at home that are light, flakey, melt-in-your-mouth delicious; they are 100x better.

We stopped here to grab a coffee and my husband opted to try their peppermint latte. It took over 5 minutes and I’m not sure if they just used the wrong sized cup or what but his $ 4 beverage came in a medium sized cup only 2⁄3 full. We literally stared at it for a moment and he confirmed with the guy that it was the correct drink. The guy didn’t blink when looking half way down the cup to find the liquid and said«yep». If it wasn’t for the seriously small beverage at $ 4 I’m sure this place would be nice. They had a little café feel and they were celebrating kings day which had something to do with a baby Jesus being baked into bread. Very cute and the pastries looked good but my husband wasn’t impressed with his beverage and was definitely not happy with the size.

This is a small café located in Old Town. All tables inside are designed for couples, though there is room on the right side to push tables together. There is more seating outside, but it’s too cold on the winter mornings. The employees are nice and seem to enjoy working here. Everything was clean and all of the pastries are baked fresh every day. I ordered the waffle, which came with organic berries. It was pretty good, not amazing but above average. Apparently the salads were very fresh, and looked appetizing. My boyfriend definitely enjoyed his breakfast sandwich, telling me how soft and airy the eggs were, and how delicious the flaky croissant was. I also ordered the mocha, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn’t overbearing on the sugar. Just the right amount of chocolate, and the espresso seemed to be of pretty decent quality. Although everything we enjoyed was good, I was disappointed they didn’t have a wider selection of both breakfast and lunch items, and that their drink selection was also limited. I would like to come back next time to try a breakfast sandwich, but I don’t know how often I’ll be visiting, on account of the«it was good but not amazing» vibe we felt as we left. However, it was nice that the person sitting with friends next to us, who we presumed was the owner, came over to clear our table and check on us as we sat around and talked.

Parking was a breeze since its off the main street which is normally an issue in old town. Greeted with a smile and warm welcome, ordered and took a seat. Wanted to sit outside but only three tables and all were taken. Our food was brought to the table timely, my son had the breakfast croissant with fruit, I had the almond croissant and coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious, the croissant was warm and flaky… MMM Got a few items to go which were cookies, macaroons, and fruit tart. Also delicious! Only 4 stars because my son had to ask for water twice and no one offered a coffee refill to me, I was going to ask but counter was busy so I didn’t want yo be a bother. Will definitely return again Came back in and had there french toast… Tasted delicious but within an hour I was sick to my stomach and laid down… Stomach hurt most of the day, then had some diarrhea… Pretty disappointed I originally loved this place ;(

I feel terrible writing a «meh» review. But here’s how I reached my 2 star rating… Service was great… smiles all around! When they asked me at the counter what I wanted, I replied, «I want to be impressed». We all had a laugh and a giggle because although I was joking about being hard lined, who doesn’t want to be impressed with a place they select to dine at? Initially I asked for a Bhakti chai, which TOTALLY threw them off so I decided to go back to basics and just order a standard chai tea.(They had no idea what a Bhakti chai was or whether or not they offered it.) The server had to be told how to make it(by her supervisor) and even the supervisor had to show me the mixture of «Oregon Chai» and ask me if that’s what I wanted. I thought to myself, «well that IS chai… right…so, yes… that’s what I want». When the chai came out to my table, it was mixed with some sort of coffee, meaning the girl who had made it made it incorrectly. She kept asking me what was supposed to be in it. I kindly told her its tea… chai tea. I could tell she was new and young. She asked me how to make chai and I felt awkward having to tell her how to make something basic that their menu offered. I ended up telling her, «mix the Oregon chai with steamed milk… that’s how I would make it but ask your supervisor if you guys add anything else to it here because I don’t know». The pastry I ordered, I had asked to be lightly toasted but it was pretty crisp when it was delivered to my table– like, hard/crisp to the point where the whole thing just kind of cracked open. The corrected chai came back to the table and was scalding hot, like extremely, very, way hot. It hardly had any flavor and when the girl asked if it was better, I didn’t have the heart to tell her it had no flavor so I just said it was great. At the end, I wondered, «it seems like the place has a good and solid concept but it does not appear as though they are fully ready to be in business… They need to hit the training more and learn how to make a chai tea. Overall, it was«meh. I’ve experienced better»…because I have.

Having been in the Temcula area for a few years now, as well as having lived in Europe, I am so thankful for this French joint to rear its little bun in Old Town. I have nothing but fab things to say: First the food — it’s as authentic as eating in France. The breads and bakery items are super fresh and good sizd portions, the almond croissant is a slice of heaven. Had the scrambled eggs recently and I’ve never tasted such sublime, left wondering how did they create such splendor. 2nd the service and staff: for being a small venue with a few tables for indoor and outside, the staff is delightfully pleasant and always a broad smile. You order at the counter and they’re quite happy to bring you your order and even check in on you with no expectations but to improve your experience. 3rd the coffee: I love my coffee dark and an occasional latte. Both of these well met my expectations. Rich dark French roast. Lattes with well executed cream pours. So cheers to the owner for making Temecula part of his culinary destiny. Wishing them all the best for continued success and the positive momentum so far. I highly recommend for sit in or take out.

Great birthday breakfast. Just as delicious as Paris. You won’t be disappointed by the fresh food and perfect pastry. Omelette was so moist. Laurent took and served our order. Super personable. Can’t wait to stop at Laurent’s the next time we visit Temecula.
