Holy Cow this place is amazing ! I went for my first time today and I will be back for sure. The staff is so nice, the place is clean and even the owner came out and asked us if there was anything we needed. I had a philly brisket sandwich and it was so juicy. Thank you for having such a great resturant in Temecula !

My parents were in town so I figured I would turn to Unilocal to find a nice place to eat. We found this place and ordered the Biggie Sampler and a few beers as well as the BB Fries. My parents absolutely loved the food, as well as my wife and I. I’ll definitely be coming back to eat at this establishment and will recommend it to the BBQ lovers I know.

The food is good, I especially like the BBQ pork & brisket. The fries are delish! The last time I was in my family ordered the mini sampler. The portions were small… especially the sides. The ½ pints are small for 3 people(it is supposed to feed 2 – 3 people). My main problem is with their register iPad system. My husband used a debit card and a screen for tips pops up with 18% as the minimum. He didn’t see an option for«other.» Why should customers pay a tip for a walk-up counter & self-service beverages? I’m not sure if there was another tip option, but it should be(if it’s there) clearly visible. Next time we will bring cash.

This place has some of the best BBQ I have had in Southern California. Their food was fantastic. I got a combination plate of beef brisket and pulled pork. They were both so juicy and delicious! There were 9 of us and we were all so incredibly happy with what we ordered. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They made us feel so welcome. If I am ever in the area I will try to make it there again.

Man! Our 2nd trip here and wow! 5 of us shared the Biggie Sampler and it was amazing! We had fries for 2 of our sides and they are the bomb! So crispy… Ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, chicken and some yummy nuggets, we still are bringing a box home! Nice to have the selection of meats we don’t normally order too, great to try their specialties. Lotsa food and authentic smoked, you won’t be disappointed…

After a fun afternoon of wine tasting we needed some food and decided to try Let’s Grub. Easy to find and plenty of parking are a big plus for me. The service was good, the restaurant clean. They have a pretty decent selection of craft beer for being a small little place. I think the prices for food are a little high but that’s not the end of the world. I ordered the one meat combo. When I first got my plate I was disappointed with the amount of pulled chicken I received but after eating it was more than enough. The chicken was nothing exciting, kind of boring. Same with the bread. The beans however where pretty good, nice and spicy. Overall a nice BBQ place to check out if you are hungry.

I’ve been back a few times now and still haven’t found my groove. They’re just missing that special something that makes you want to come back for more. So I stopped in for dinner with friends just to get a different perspective on the menu items. Temecula fries were okay but the baked beans over powered the flavor of any spicy sausage. Fresh chopped Jalapeños would be a huge improvement to kick up the flavor. Overall the dish just tasted like a pile of disappointment for the price. We didn’t even finish them! Pulled pork sandwich was okay but could be better. The pork was a bit dried out, like it had been sitting for a while or microwaved and re-heated. The mound of cold slaw on top definitely attempted to mask the lack of flavor and moisture. At least the brioche bun was soft and fresh. But what I found to be lacking was their only two options for BBQ sauce, I’m not a fan. The Brisket chunks sandwich leaves much to be desired. The sandwich itself was pretty simple, but that acrid flavor of their«caramelized BBQ sauce» just didn’t sit well with me. The sauce just isn’t good enough to be dousing your meat in it. But hey, that’s just my opinion. The Sweet Piggy was slightly better than the regular pulled pork, but still dry, with an over-grilled pineapple ring. But it was served on a brioche bun and not the French roll like stated on the menu! This is another sandwich that would have befitted from some extra bite to offset the pineapple. The sweet potato fries were actually good. Nice and crispy just the way fries should be. Overall, this place has a lot of potential. I’ll be back to try that Jelly Jam sandwich!

A great joint and my first visit. The theory, if they’ve been around for a while, they must be doing something right, because BBQ in Temecula is very competitive. My girlfriend and I went, and we both had the. mini sampler with side of the BB Fries. Oh man! we stuffed with good stuff. The brisket is so tender you can cut it with fork. I really liked the sausage, I thought it was good, but I wouldn’t order sausage because the beef, pork, and ribs were more my liking. I have say Good-Bye Dickey’s. The sauce is good, thinner than others, but flavorful. There were two sauces on the table and I think they put the same sauce in both bottles, because I couldn’t tell the difference. We’ll be back. Good stuff!

My daughter and I came down from Corona to give this place a try. We stared at the menu for a few minutes. Told the nice girl behind the counter I wanted everything and she suggested the mini sampler. We got that and some of the rib tips. DAMN… very good damn food! Loved the brisket and ribs. Never been a pulled pork kinda person but theirs is very good! Al(the owner) was talking to everyone in the place. Kinda makes you feel welcome and want to come back. We ate everything as it was all excellent… well worth the drive down. It was our first trip but won’t be our last.

I was super excited about finding a local BBQ spot, but I was extremely disappointed with what we received. The food is mediocre, the prices are too high, and the customer service was lacking. When we walked in, there were only a couple other groups inside. There were tables that were waiting to be bused and the water jug was empty. We walked up trying to figure out what to order and the guy behind the counter called us out as being first-timers, then tried to push their«Mini Sampler» on us(which he apparently tries on every customer that comes in). Instead we ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of pickle chips, the B.B. Fries and a drink(which he forgot to give us, so we had to go up and ask for it). The pulled pork sandwich was fine. The pickle chips were incredibly salty and the breading fell right off, so in the end I was left with a half bag of just overcooked breading. The B.B. Fries were okay, the fries were good, but the meat was dry. A couple had come in after us and was talked into buying the«Mini Sampler». From what I heard, he entered in their order wrong and they were missing a side of meat. His response back was that they should eat what they had and that IF they were hungry after, he would ring them up for that missing side. He also stated that he wants them to come to him if they have an issue rather than post a bad review. Which I understand not wanting bad reviews, but the way he went about this was completely wrong. Overall, like previously stated, the food is mediocre, the prices are a bit steep for what you get, and the customer service could be greatly improved.

We really enjoyed our pulled pork sandwiches. The sauce is really good and the meat was moist. Service at the counter was friendly and efficient. I had a 20oz draft IPA for $ 3.50. We will return!

Excellent bbq fare. When you go in you have to order at the counter then they bring you your meal… be patient because there is a little bit of a wait … But when the yuminess comes it’s on! I ordered the sliders the kids(okay twenty somethings) ordered pulled pork sandwiches and something called the Hungry Man or something like that haha… the bbq sauces(by Guy Fieri) were soooo good– my fave was the vinegar based one and the kids loved the other more traditional one. And of course we ordered our fave Temecula Fries…

Hello. My name is Wendy and I am a porkatarian. I supposed I should be ashamed for this admission, but I want to believe that if I were a piggie who was destined to become a morsel on your dinner plate, becoming the pulled pork made by Chef Al Borda would be quite a consolation. I would be proud. Let’s Grub is the 3rd of 3 restaurants that Executive Chef Borda has made a reality. An interesting, personable guy and driven entrepreneur, he took the time to share some fascinating stories with us about the development of his food, the result of tapping into the BBQ expertise of Triple D host and personal friend, Guy Fieri, along with his crew. Chef also only offers the two BBQ sauces, one tomatoey smoky sweet, the other a thinner vinegary style, that carry Guy’s name. You will find a bottle of each at every table. They will blow away your taste buds. Yes, that good. The marriage of the meat to that sauce is a real winner. This restaurant has not been open too long, under a year, and is fairly small. But for someone who lacked BBQ experience before he started this latest bold venture, he is now putting out some of the best BBQ meats Mr. B and I have tasted in a long time, seriously. And this is in So Cal where he has to compete with the big guys like Lucille’s and Phil’s BBQ, not to mention the many great mom and pop shops. His first smart move was investing in a very sophisticated industrial smoker. After our meal, he invited us back into his small kitchen to show it off, and was not shy about giving Mr. B some solid tips for his own small batch, personalized smoking at home. Secondly, and what impressed me most, was his choice of wood for smoking, using a milder almond wood rather than using a more traditional, overbearingly scented wood like hickory or mesquite, a big turn off for me. Having already tasted his finished product, I knew this was a really good choice. The Mini Sampler Meal is a perfect way to discover what you like. My being rather unenthused in general over commercial BBQ, it’s either too dry, too lean, too smoky, too spicy, I was surprised to find we liked it all. The portions of meat on the sampler, even after we both were satiated, meant we still had plenty to box for leftovers. The sampler comes with 5 meats: brisket, chicken, Cajun sausage(the only one he does not smoke himself), pork ribs(tips cut off), and pulled pork. All the meats(including the chicken) were tender and moist and seasoned until so, so good. I personally disposed of all the Cajun sausage, something I usually think I don’t like. Ha. We chose the red potato salad and BBQ beans as our sides. The beans are made from scratch, baked beans(especially loved this, reminds me of my Granny’s) that have been perfectly flavored with that amazing, smoky, pulled pork, plus a touch of sweet, and a hint of clove. Great choice! Mac and Cheese. The only fail and strictly a personal taste issue. I ordered what they call the Pancake, a huge, flattened macaroni and cheese pancake, griddled until it achieved a burnt cheese crust on both sides, then drizzled with sour cream and bbq sauce. The concept is interesting, I am a big fan of cheese that oozes and cooks until it forms a salty, crispy apron that is almost chip-like(nasty wonderful), but this was too tame for me because it was not a sharp cheddar. I will not be surprised to see him featured on DDD soon. And it will be because of the wonderful food he creates, although his association with Guy will most certainly help. And to think, I almost didn’t want to come.

I came to this place randomly, but as soon as I walked in, I knew I wouldn’t regret it. The smell of the smoked meats engulfs you and pulls you in. The service and the décor is really welcoming and you can’t help but follow your nose to the counter. I live roughly 25 miles away but the food makes it all worth it. The meat wasn’t grilled or smoked at a high temperature when you arrived, it was slowly smoked for hours starting last night. The brisket is amazing, its so delicate and juicy. The chicken is juicy and full of flavor. They are both seasoned and smoked so well that the sauces on the table weren’t even needed. All I can say is go. The place is family friendly, the food is reasonably priced. They have a good variety of beer and drink choices. The service is amazing, and the food is what other BBQ places strive to be but fall short with their cooking time. The brisket is unbelievably perfect and the chicken is amazing. All I can recommend is go sooner than later in the day or call ahead. They said that because they make everything over night, it is possible for them to run out of meats. Otherwise go, you won’t regret it!

So I was in Temecula doing some detail meetings at our wedding venue and wanted to get some Calhoun’s but they aren’t open on Sundays apparently so I had to find an alternative. Let’s Grub popped up on my Unilocal with 4.5 stars so I thought I’d stop in and give it a try. While their BBQ isn’t Calhoun’s, their service is incredibly friendly, the location is very clean(and they have one of those cool Coke Freestyle units), and their BBQ is pretty good. Apparently they are the only BBQ joint outside of Guy Fieri’s that use and carry Guy Fieri BBQ sauces due to their personal friendship(pretty cool!) and have Guy Fieri’s picture up on the wall. Their BBQ is a new«California Style» that is apparently winning competitions around the US… definitely worth a taste! Out of all the meats, I thought their Ribs were the best(we tried the small sampler platter) and I would highly recommend their Jicama Salad. Oh and their dinner rolls are really really really good. I wouldn’t say this is a Must-Try when you’re in the area but I will say it’s good and worth a shot.

We Came here starved after a long day of wine tasting with a group of 8. We were all looking forward to some good«grub» to fill our belly’s and since the name of this restaurant alone suggested bbq-a-plenty, we all thought we were safe and would leave here more than satisfied. The ambience was casual, and the restaurant itself was very clean and pleasing to the eye with a fun rock and roll-feel. The cashier was friendly and very helpful when it came to the menu. Aside from that, however, the food was unfortunately disappointing. I ordered the brisket chunk sandwich with pickle chips. My husband ordered the Temecula fries. Others in our group ordered the mini sampler with macaroni and cheese, potato salad and pickle chips for sides. Since we ordered a good variety of food, you’d think at least someone would be happy with their meal. Not the case, unfortunately. The workers there were so kind, so we really wanted the food to be good, but we just weren’t so lucky. On the mini sampler, the sausage was the only meat worth going back for. The brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken were not as moist as we had hoped since the menu brags that it was smoked all day. The flavor was lacking as well. On my brisket chunk sandwich, the brioche bun was actually very good, but the brisket itself lacked flavor and abundance.(The picture on the menu showed a ton more meat and toppings in the sandwich than what I actually got) There was not a lot of sauce on the meat, nor on the sandwich itself. It was supposed to have onions, and it did…2 small sprigs. My husbands Temecula Fries were good(the fries were fresh and crispy) however he did not get much meat on them(again, the picture on the menu was quite deceiving) Enough about that. Again, it’s unfortunate, but there was not one side we enjoyed — the Mac and cheese was not flavorful or creamy(and actually had clumps), the potato salad needed seasoning, and the pickle chips were over cooked and also lacking in flavor. I wanted to try their onion rings, but they were out of them.(Who runs out of onion rings?!) The Texas toast was cold, so that was instantly ruined. Aside from all this, our group of 8 waited at least 25 – 30 minutes for our food, which was not fun considering we could’ve eaten our arms as soon as we got there. Mind you– there was not a single other person in the restaurant other than our group, so they were not busy enough to use that as an excuse. All that said, at least we gave it a shot! Since other people have such great reviews, I’m not opposed to trying it out again. Maybe it was just an off night. :)

Heard that this place had some hype, so the family decided to give it a shot for a late night dinner. We walked in and sat right in the middle of the restaurant… we ended up ordering the biggie sampler, which was definitely enough to feed the 4 of us. Surprisingly, all of the food came out in under 10 minutes… however, it was a little disappointing when the food got really cold shortly after. Overall, the food itself was pretty good… but nothing really stood out from any other BBQ place. I also noticed their Unilocal sign, but didn’t honestly know what could’ve been done about our food aside from re-heating it? I don’t often venture to this side of town, but may give it another shot with just my wife.
