Not complaining about the gas station, but the car wash I sure am! It did not clean the car, just moved dirt around. Stay away if you want a clean car

I like this gas station because it’s usually dead because it’s in an odd location. You really can’t see it from Rancho California or Ynez and it sits on a hill. The prices are decent and the gas quality is great unlike the Arco across the street. They also have a car wash and about 12 gas pumps so the station is a nice size just in an awkward location.

It’s a standard gas station with all the amenities(car wash, snacks, drinks) that one would want. Good times. It doesn’t get that busy as there are many other comparable gas stations in the area but if your turning movements allow you to stop in, good times.

Today, I used this station to wash my car. In the middle of the soap cycle, the car wash broke down. The guy behind me, went to report this to clerk. He returned a few minutes later and said that she would contact the company. Meanwhile, I have soapy foam all over my car. I drove up and asked for her(Veronica) for further assistance. She told me she couldn’t do anything. At this point, I asked for refund, and she obliged. I asked if they had a hose, and she said they did not. I walked around building looking for a hose, and decided to make a second attempt with clerk. Another gal, named Barbra was behind counter with Veronica. I told them they needed to contact a supervisor. I got two different stories on why this couldn’t be done. One, it was his day off, and the other he was on a break. Suffice, to say, i was very irritated with this situation. I made it clear, that although it wasn’t their fault, their supervisor was setting them up to fail and it wasn’t acceptable for me to leave until i had some resolution. At that moment a young woman(Shanti) who had been in store, by soda fountain, introduced herself and said she was an off duty employee and suggested I use hose by air pump. Well, that sounded like the best help so far, but the problem was the hose pressure was very low, and only would stay on for a minute. I was soaking myself more than car. I returned to store a third time, and again stated I needed to speak with some supervisor. It was obvious I wasn’t going to make my dinner plans in San Diego tonight. I expressed this to Shanti, Barbra and Veronica. Shanti was flustered, and in hind sight, I would say she made more of an attempt to ease situation, but Veronica and Barbra started taunting me, and said, «You have your money, now leave.» Well, I got the hint and left. When I was sitting in my car, a guy wearing a name tag, that only said manager(name portion had been removed) approached me and introduced himself. I believe he said Steve. He made it very clear that he had to leave his lunch break, that he was taking with his daughter, because of me, and also suggested I thank him for doing so. He said that he would reset car wash so that I could use it. REALLY? After all I went through, this was easily remedied by reseting the carwash. Couldn’t they have just provided the service when it first happened and avoided all the hassle and drama. I have been going to this gas station, several times a month, for over 10 years. Veronica, Barbra and Steve are without a doubt the only reason I will never return. Give your employees the tools they need to solve a problem with minimal hassle, and send them to customer service training.
