Fantastic service. Got the wine and cheese pairing for 2. The ladies did a great job with the pairing we liked every cheese, every wine, and all the fruit was super sweet. We will definitely be returning.

This place is a gem! Delicious variety of cheeses and other goodies for eating with your sips. Friendly and out of this world knowledge of the cheese monger. While waiting for our gorgeous cheese plate we sipped on a Weins IPA and listened to great jazz guitar.

If you normally suffer from experiencing a Bohemian European Bistro focused on the Gourmet edge. You are probably just up the street from several places that are more you. However, if you are seeking truly incredible cheeses from a to z… this place is for you. They will«pair» the right cheeses with the wines to enjoy when doing a wine and cheese pairing. This is the only place in town that has the right stuff… expert skill and the gourmet talent combined to produce a fantastic flavor trip that I will forever have in my «best places» list!

Great place. Tried this place years ago, sucked due to lack of attention when you wanted to spend money. The last few years totally different place. Love this place not so much I spend $ 100 a week on their wonderful cheeses. They have cheeses I can not find anywhere else. And the staff is super sweet. Love their cheese, hard to put it into words, the owner is a guru. When you go here, make sure you tell the wonderful ladies what you want, they are experts at connecting you with the product.

Pretty good cheese and wine. Pretty expensive though. We bought a cheese and prosciutto sandwich and a house wine and it was like 22 $. My boy and his wife had a wine and cheese pairing and it cost $ 55. They got 4 ¼ glasses of wine each.. They were super bummed and felt ripped off. Service was super slow too. I wouldn’t write the place off but I wouldn’t come again.

We found the cutest little place in old town Temecula… We stop by when they had a live band, and we sit down wine and eat cheese and olives and bread. This was a quaint little café that was so adorable.

Enjoyable cheese tasting with wine pairing served by such a knowledgeable staff. It’s so delicious with fruit with each tasting and delicious prosciutto and wonderful house made pomegranate mustard. Perfect afternoon spot on the patio with a wonderful desert breeze.

Probably would’ve dropped some major cabbage in this cheese store, but the lady working there was not only unhelpful — she was rude. She seemed like she may be the owner. Not one word out of her. No help at all. The sign on the door says«World’s best purveyor of cheese.» I’d be surprised if they sold enough cheese to fill a rat trap. Great opportunity to trap some tourists who don’t know any better, but if you are looking for a nice experience, don’t bother. We walked out scratching our heads.

Cousin and I stopped in for a sampling of cheeses to make a cheese platter for dinner. This place a tiny mom and pop operation, with a few tables and a short but sweet menu to sample sandwiches and cheese platters. The person working there was SO helpful and gave some great advice on the types of cheese we should purchase, as well as the background on all the cheeses available. She was liberal with the samples of cheese(which is helpful when trying something new!) and was able to accommodate us with a quarter pound of each cheese(the smallest per-pound weight they sell). For artisanal cheeses, this is the place to go!

so, am not surprised by so many 1 star reviews. first of all, the young lady who helped us was über nice and friendly. it’s her boss who looked like an owner was rude(and w/bad frizzy blond coif) and has no business in the front of the store. she looked like she smelled stinkiest cheese with the permanent stink face. we walked in and greeted by the young friendly staff, she asked what we would want to try, we said, what are you well known for, we would like to sample that(we were going to have lunch there), then the frizzy coifed older woman murmured to the young lady if we are going to buy or dine in a really rude way. she told her staff to make sure we don’t taste more than two types of cheese and then even told her the second cheese better be our last. between her telling the young lady while we could hear her, to the staff trying to be nice, but relating the message from the cragee frizzy coifed woman to us, it was soooo awkward! the exchange gave us bad tasted in our mouth(i refused to give my money to bad & condescending service) we walked out. we had nice lunch at a cuban place called havana instead(totally warm & attentive). we did feel bad for the young lady, hope she doesn’t get reprimanded by her cragee boss. or better yet, run girl, while you can, from that woman! run! recommendation to the store: obviously you do not care about how you come across to the customers, however, if you treat your customers with a smile and like a decent human being should be treated, more folks will spend money in your store and will not walk out. in addition, if you are worrying about giving away free cheese, why don’t you offer cheese tasting(um, we are in temecula so folks are familiar with how tasting works) for $ 15 for 4 – 5 types of cheese that you can choose from. p. s. the cheeses were not that special.

The only good thing I can say about this place was It has decent artesian cheese. My experience was horrible from the get-go, we asked a couple of simple question about the cheeses and wine selections that they had to the employees that were working there but, it did not seem like they really wanted to explain it and were really rude. We went out to the patio and other customers that were outside, that previously ordered before me were also complain about the horrible service. After waiting for over 20 minutes for a cheese plate, I confront them and I just told them the truth and walked out of the place. I hate writing negative about a business, specially when I believe in supporting local businesses. I have a couple of friends that went to the same business and had the same horrible experience, a couple of months prior. I believe the owners really don’t have much importance of solving the issue at all. I am amazed that they have four stars out of five and I believe the good reviews are probably people that are related to the business that want to give it a good name??? I just wish to spare future customers from ever having to waste their money and time to a business don’t care about good customer service or just be treated with dignity and respect.

Love this place! Always an awesome cheese selection. Sure it gets busy but it’s worth the wait to enjoy cheeses you don’t see very often. We’re also cheese club members and very happy with the membership. Can’t wait for them to expand to Murrieta in the Farmstead Market!

Second time here and still amazing service! Great wine tasting and very knowledgable staff. Paired the cheese I had purchased with the perfect wine. Weekends specifically on Saturdays they have live music from 12pm — 3pm. This place is a great place to bring your special someone any day of the week to sit back relax enjoy some cheese and wine to the Temecula breeze and sunshine. Highly recommend this place especially if your in trouble and trying to make up for it. Hint hint.

Went here on a Thursday afternoon with my boyfriend and we had a lovely experience. It was pretty empty since it was during the week which was nice. We got the wine and cheese pairing. The cheeses and wines are delicious. My favorite was the goat cheese with ash, a subtle smoky taste with the creaminess of the goat cheese was perfect. After our little trip my boyfriend is finally a wine guy if that means he gets fancy cheese haha. The woman that served us was nice and we didn’t feel neglected.

I can’t even bring myself to spare this business the one star blunder review. I debated whether to give them 2, but my heart just could not. I witnessed the two female workers here lose a lot of business by completely ignoring every big group of people who wandered through their doors. Sure enough, the potential customers were probably looking for free samples, but how else can you gain business if you fail to entertain the customers? I heeded this red flag and still ordered a 2 cheese sampler with salami. What would’ve taken maybe 10 – 15 mins to do took these female workers 30 – 45 mins. It looked like they were too busy putting together these sampler boxes for a pick up order to 1) entertain potential customers and 2) bring out orders to paying customers. The only way I can think of to remedy this is to hire another employee to accommodate for the influx of customers. But until then, if you only see 2 workers behind the counter(particularly female), stay completely away unless you want poor service.

Not a fan. These cheese lovers neglect you right at the last round of wine pouring. They give you the smallest samples, and provide sub-par service. Oh, and they pour red wine on your blouse, too. I thought Temecula is supposed to have only the best of the best. Obvi, I thought wrong.

I think Temecula Valley Cheese Company will forever go down in history as a place that served me the best sandwich I have ever had. Yes, I was the genius behind it by building my own, but still. Even when I think about it 2 days later, I still have waves of pleasure going through my brain receptors. My sandwich had French blue cheese(sooo rich and creamy!) and smoked pork shoulder meet, layered with fresh lettuce and tomato, seasoned with some local fancy mustard and olive olive & balsamic vinaigrette — all this goodness packed in a cozy, soft and crusty baguette. Are you salivating yet? You should! Yes, it was $ 9.99 before tax, and had about 10 bites in it; so if you passed calculus, you will figure out it is about a buck per bite. And let me tell you: worth. every. single. bite. They pair sandwiches with either a portion of assorted olives or fresh fruit, and you can’t go wrong with either one. They have a good choice of local wines to accompany your cheese. Also, quite a variety of breads, preserves and other decadent European staple foods. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and it looked like they had a private room for tastings as well. On Sunday afternoon they had a jazz band playing, which made it a perfect romantic little get-away for us. The ladies who work there are really nice and knowledgeable, so they will help you even if you are a cheese virgin. I’m sad this place is 90 miles away from me… but I’m also glad I won’t be gaining extra 20 pounds by eating there all the time. But oh, Temecula Valley Cheese Company sandwich, I’m coming back for you!
