Damn where do I start? I first heard about this place from some family members. Since there are only a handful of Filipino establishments in the area you will know about them by word of mouth though other Pinoy’s. When I first walked in the first thing I noticed was the various smells of filipino foods and breads. Not bad I thought. Then the familiar sounds of TFC playing Kapamilya Deal or No Deal was heard above my head. LOL All the Pan and baked goods were displayed on the right hand side while the steam table with various«turo-turo» were straight ahead. Most of the hot food there looked like it had been sitting there for some time. Finally I walked up to the counter to pay for 3 bags of Pan de Sal and 1 bag of Ube Pan and the lady behind the counter did not say a word! Not a «Hello» or a «How are you?» maybe even a «Can I help you find something?» the whole time I was there. Come to think of it she didn’t say anything to any of the other customers there either. So I just paid and left. I definitely expected more from this place. Well at least the Pan was okay. I won’t be going out of my way to come to this place again.

It’s a Filipino bakery with treats much like I enjoyed in Daly City with Red Ribbon and Goldilock’s. I enjoy the pan de leche much more than their signature pan de sal and their pan de pina with its tropical fruit filling is pretty good too. The pan de leche is a soft, slightly sweet bread. Some of their other pastries look better than they taste. I haven’t experienced really horrible service here, but there’s room for improvement.

Kayla must have forgotten that bake n bite and goldilocks both sell pan-de-sal. I must say to her defense that this is the only spot in town where you can buy«tasty» pan-de-sal. I give their pan de sal 4 stars, but their service deserves a 2 star rating. The lady at the counter was not friendly or well groomed and looked like she was contemplating suicide.

Temecula is a BORING city, so I don’t expect much out of it. Anyway, this place is the only place my family buys their pan-de-sal because this is the only company in town that makes it. You can also buy Valerio’s brand pan-de-sal at the 89 Ranch store on Ynez road. But it’s really best when it’s fresh out of the oven in the mornings. Their bakery isn’t that good honestly. My mom could cook it herself and it tastes better. It just takes time to make which is the only reason why we go here-for something quick. Their puto is pretty good though, however sometimes it’s really gross and too sticky. It just depends on who makes it. I havn’t tried any of their other desserts but this place isn’t anything special!
