Joseph’s Moving and Storage

Patrick sent three guys to get me moved and they were awesome. They showed up right on time, super polite and friendly. They worked fast and carefully, wrapping my furniture and taking care moving throughout a house with a lot of tight angles. Great service and will totally use them in the future!

After booking my move with Joseph’s moving and storage we were ready to move to our new home. However, Josephs called one hour before he was scheduled to show up at our house he called and cancelled the move. He gave no good reason for cancelling and left us with no mover. Joseph’s moving and storage has no business ethics and should not even be in business. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. One star rating is even to much for this company. By all means DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

If there were a less-​than-​one-​star rating, I would be using it. I didn’t read the Unilocal reviews prior to booking last week and called based on their mailer offer. That was my first mistake… I also had a horrible experience with Patrick. He was rude on the reminder call and changed the start time but blamed me saying the noon appt was actually 11−12pm and can they come earlier than that. I compromised and agreed to 11am. They showed up 10:30am — I was not there yet. They called and when I confirmed that I would pay with check or cc the driver told me they only accept cash.
I then called the front office and spoke with Rhonda about the early arrival, rude confirmation call and payment terms. She was gracious and apologetic and confirmed that I could pay with a check. Not 10 min later I arrived and the driver insisted on cash.
I called the office again — this time getting Patrick. He was even more rude, insisted on cash and denied knowing that my move required 3 stops! Really — 4 hours quoted to go 5 miles — for 10 pcs of furniture? Something should have triggered questions on their side.
I fired them and asked them to go away. I say — stay as far away from them as possible!!!

DO NOT USE AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! I used Joseph’s in August and dealt with Janet the entire time. She provided great customer service and was great to work with. The movers were very punctual and very professional. It was a great price and everything went perfect. NOW I’m moving again and naturally contacted them again based off of my previous experience. This time I dealt with the owner Patrick. We scheduled and appointment to get me a quote. The first time he called me an hour before and had to reschedule. We set a new appointment for a week later during my lunch break. I drove home 20 miles to meet him and waited 20 minutes for him to NO SHOW me. When I called initially he was apologetic… HOWEVER as we discussed everything further he became very RUDE, DEFENSIVE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I will absolutely never use this company again. If you stand me up on a «consultation» you’re really going to be there for my move? Not taking my chances and not giving you my money to operate like this. Good luck running a business like this Patrick!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE I used them once and they were good. the movers were pleasant, polite and professional. I communicated with a lovely woman who booked my job. I tried to use them again, dealing with the owner (Patrick) and got the shock of my life. The movers arrived, not at the time I was told they would be there, and I needed to do some fancy footwork to accommodate my 94 year old mother’s doctor’s appointment before her move. When the movers arrived, they did not bring any packing materials or the boxes I told the owner I would need (isn’t it also standard practice to bring packing materials… just in case???). When they did not arrive prepared, Patrick told the driver I did not order them. When I called to complain, he became belligerent and defensive, saying «Well, what do you want me to do about it?» l When I asked for consideration if the move took over three hours, he adamantly refused. (Hello!!! Can you say «customer service»? NOT). He then commenced to quote a conversation we did not have and practically accused me of fabricating my story. He not only did not want to accommodate me in any way, he was rude, defensive, offensive, nasty and just plain unprofessional. I chose to inform him that the conversation was going to go nowhere and that I was going to get off the phone, which I did. To which he responded… wait for it… by telling the movers to WALK AWAY FROM THE JOB. They did not want to, but didn’t want to get fired either. Then I was told that if I paid in cash they would do the move. Then the owner called back the movers and told them TO REMOVE MY THINGS FROM THE TRUCK AND WALK AWAY FROM THE JOB. Leaving me and my 94 year old mother who is on oxygen to fend for ourselves. They followed orders. They took all of our things off of the truck, brought them back to her assisted living apartment and drove away. The drivers were mortified, as were we. They were just following orders, so I do not blame them. But the unconscionable actions of the owner are grounds for a lawsuit, as well as a complaint to the BBB, which I fully intend to pursue. We fortunately found another mover to do the job on short notice, for less money (Budget Movers if you’re interested in a reliable company), and five hours later, I finally got her moved in. NO THANKS TO JOSEPH’S MOVERS. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!! To be this abusive in business, especially to a 94 year old woman is all you need to know. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE!

i would absolutely recommend them as movers.
i have used them for all 4 of my moves and i have never had anything damaged, broken or lost.
they are on time, quick and trustworthy. they are also insured in case anything does happen.
I have always had different guys for each move and all of them have been super hard working and HONEST!
3 out of 4 times i had a huge, elephant sized TV to move– even up and down 3 flights of stairs and these boys did it! with no scars!
