Was down the street getting some stuff for my bike and had this place bookmarked for some time. I am basing the 4 stars on the pork belly egg dish I ordered and watermelon juice. I thought it was very tender and flavorful. The pork that is. Maybe I haven’t had Taiwanese much recently and being white I don’t really know what is good and it really deserves a 3.5 but I left very satisfied. Being that it was pretty dead my service was descent. I probably wouldn’t come back though to try anything else.

This place is very divey. Therefore all these mainland chinese people do behave according to that loud, rude, no manners, at least they smoke outside but every 4 min? Why bother dining here than? But the most annoying thing besides hearing their drunk loud voices was they called the waitresses«BABECOMEHERE» or «HEEEYY». Other than that the dishes came out pretty fast, the waitresses are friendly(enduring the rudeness), and they recommend you what’s good here. The Yoghurt Soju was pretty pretty good. It went down like juice. I feel like this place overall is kinda dirty and messy, but maybe I’m wrong and it’s just the ambient.

I haven’t been here since I wasn’t even of drinking age yet so that means its been well over 5 years since I’ve stepped foot in this establishment until now. It was a late week night so I wasn’t here to drink. We were actually desperate for some food and B2O was one of the few places still open in the area. I had the pork belly with egg. I’m supposed to be eating healthier but I don’t regret one single bite. I love this dish. I have a weak spot for pork belly! I don’t remember what I’ve tried 5+ years ago so its probably not worth mentioning. Try the pork belly if you’re actually looking for something to eat and not to drown yourself in beer lol.

The dark beer is the only beer that is worth drinking(IMO) if you want to have some sort of flavor(I’m typically a hoppy person). You’ll see it cleverly labeled as such. There are days(maybe it’s everyday) that it’s buy 1 pitcher and get 1 free. that in itself should garner this a 4 star establishment but the food’s just not tasty overall. I would not recommend getting the bones + chili because all you end up with is just chili peppers. Their fried frog legs are a little lacking. Their hearts and chicken skin are great. They’ve got the die and cups ready for your drink-gambling pleasure.

One of those Taiwanese places where you go to drink more than eat. Food here is whatevers, and so is their beer as well. Not many choices to choose from. And service here sucks. The workers tend to be doing their own thing and won’t really notice you. Every time I come here, they don’t notice until after a while. If you want a better Taiwanese restaurant with beer, I would go to Indian’s in San Gabriel.

Great place to just hang out and do some good ol’ taiwanese style drinking. Dice, cards, watching the game with a pitcher of beer and some snacks. I believe it’s buy one, get one pitcher free. The options are limited as far as tap goes, but I usually stick with Taiwan beer anyway. The food is decent, mostly made to accompany the drinks. I like the skewers, fried intestine, spare ribs.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. The food is terrible and the service is just horrendous. You’d think that the servers were hotter and the food was better with the way the way they treat their customers. Place is a shit hole. Stay away and thank me later!

Not sure why the hate from some of the patrons — yah, it can get rowdy, it can get busy, but there’s usually only one waitress, maybe two on a good day plus the owner. What I normally get — the Spicy lamb ribs. If you’ve never had, run!!! don’t walk to try them. It’s so flavorful, garlicky, and spicy and the perfect compliment to the beer. The fried bean curd(a hard tofu) and stinky tofu are pretty decent. I’ve been a little meh on their three cup anything, but that’s just IMO. Did I mention, BOGO(buy one get one) free pitchers of beer? AND it’s on tap? Downside? Only Bud Light and Amber Bock. :( Parking is a lot in the back or street parking. Be careful of loitering and have a DD — there’s a sheriff’s office across the street. B2O is located in a strip mall right next to the mall with Tj Maxx, Yoshinoya, Starbucks, Applebees, and Chase. :D Can’t miss it.

Came here because I heard it was like Indian. I was sorely disappointed. We Taiwanese date ordered a chicken stew and we were told its a mix of all parts of the chicken. Instead, what we found was all chicken feet and gizzard. For a mix, they instead used all the cheapest parts of the chicken. Again, where is the mix? To top it off at the end of the meal, 2 girls started swearing at each other in Mandarin and then ended up throwing up on the table right behind us. That was the last straw. We paid and got the heck out of dodge.

Located right behind Yoshinoya. Definitely a hidden gem in the 626. We ordered Stinky Tofu, Shanghai Rice Cakes, and Chicken Kabobs. Pretty standard Taiwanese dishes. Quality is comparable to Indian in San Gabriel but without the wait and the girls in skimpy Indian skirts. If you order food, the pitchers of beer are BOGO, so not only do you get quality Taiwanese food, but you can get super cheap draft beer. You can also catch the game here as they have four TVs. Love coming here.

This place is rocking with Taiwanese, Chinese and Vietnamese alike. It’s always a good sign to see the locals eating at a restaurant of their ethnicity. I am continuously the only Caucasian here and I love it. Favorite dishes are Kung Pao Chicken and the Beef with Onion dish. They also have several hot pot soups and the noticeable ‘stinky tofu’. Beer by the pitcher and 2 for one on them is as good as it gets. Tried several other places, but this little hole in the wall is still my favorite. To sum it up: Great food, great people and absolutely great priced beer without any attitude. It can get noisy, so it’s probably not the place to bring your date — unless he or she loves a sports bar atmosphere and Asian crowd. Would give it 5 stars, but they need to update their bathrooms — urgently!

When your looking for some good Taiwanese food and over all good times with your friends, this is the place to go. Food is great, paired with a pitcher of beer and let the good times roll. I always love coming here with a group of friends order everything on the menu, drink a few cold ones and catch up. The miso cod is probably my favorite dish, it takes a little more time so we always order that first. In the meantime we munch on everything from sesame cucumbers, stink tofu, egg omelets, pork belly and the corn!!! Hmm getting hungry just thinking about it. This place can get loud but kind of adds to the fun. If you go early you can skip the loud crowds, this is when I take my family when we need a good Taiwanese fix.

Selection of food is good, it’s like every other Taiwanese restaurant with the typical dishes like stinky tofu, fried oysters, spicy intestine with pork blood with tofu and of course, pitchers and pitchers of draft beer… the thing is… our food came out cold and flavorless… nothing worth coming back to… and our waitress wore perfume… pretty heavy perfume… anyone who works in a restaurant should not wear perfume/cologne because no one wants to smell perfume while they eat… but she’s really nice so eh… I just think the owner/manager should train the staff better with these little common restaurant etiquettes…

Overview — low cost beer, smiling waitresses, awesome service, flavorful dishes at competitive prices. We only tried the basil lamb and three cup chicken, they’re pretty good but the downfall was they didn’t come with rice. which would have been so awesome if they did. being the cheapasses that we were, we just stuck through it. The crowd there didn’t seem to know what sakes bombs were. When we banged the table and the sakes fell into the beers, the large group from the other side of the room stared at us. Pro tip: ask for the big beer mugs if you wanna do the sake bombs. They give you soju glasses for sake and title glasses for beer, which obviously would not fit those soju glasses. I really wanted to try the fried fish the table next to us had, but it wasn’t on the menu. Should ask if they’re willing to take special orders.

This is the only chinese beer house that is close to Arcadia. I’ve been here many times but never got a chance to write a review. Service 3.5÷5: The waitresses there are very friendly and always tried their best to satisfy your needs. However, they might be short staffed during weekends and rush hours; so they wont be able to help you right away.(but they always try to get to you as soon as they can) Food 4/5:pretty authentic taiwanese/chinese dishes. This are the dishes that i usually ordered Stir fried cabbage with bacon: YUM! Crispy fried intestine: Goes perfectly well with the beer fried oyster: Good munchies when you drink Satay lamb: delicious. Environment 4⁄5: a great place for huge party and hangout, eat and drink! Their drink deal is awesome! Buy ONE pitcher of beer and GETONEFREE! If you happen to order another pitcher and was unable to finish the«free» one, they will give you a card so you can come back and redeem your free pitcher of beer next time: D good deal huh! They also provided dice for those who likes to play some drinking game during the party! I’ve came here since i turned 21 and i’ve always love this place! BTW! they are currently celebrating their 8th anniversary(12÷01÷13−02÷28÷14) 10% off w/credit card 15% off w/cash!(on your next visit)

I have been here tons of times and I never wrote a review. I really enjoy coming here for food because their food quality really reminds me of Taiwanese food. I love the stinky tofu, and their cold vegetables. If you want a drink, this is definitely a place to check out. ENJOY!

B2O is a good spot for group of friends who needs a late night drinking spot with some food to much on. But there are few downsides to this place. Here’s my breakdown: +Open til 2AM on Fri and Sat. +Buy 1 pitcher get 1 pitcher free deal. +Nice owner. If he thinks your group can’t finish the pitcher that was placed in order or they’re almost closing, he’ll give you a card instead so you can redeem your pitcher of beer next time you visit. +Parking available behind the restaurant. –Old Chinese people hangout here. Sometimes they get so trashed and they start picking a fight with each other. Last time I was there, some dude got so pist he started yelling at his friend so loud and broke one of the beer glasses. So trashy. –Food is okay. Spicy lamb rib’s flavor was good but it barelyyyyyyyyy had any meat and was mostly bone. :(Fried tofu is hard to mess up and grilled mushroom was straight up grilled mushroom. no seasoning. Ew.

I’ve been wanting to try B2O Café for a while, primarily because they serve stinky tofu. Service — 2⁄5 I don’t expect service to be exceptional at a Taiwanese bar, but it took way too long to just get a menu and then to finally order. Stinky Tofu — 2⁄5($ 6.95) There was no stink, no stank, nothing that made this dish great. From the hard texture of the tofu to the watery sauce, I can honestly say that I’ve had better. Atmosphere — 2⁄5 This place used to be a Thai food restaurant and I’m guessing they kept some of their nautical themed decorations. Their multi-colored Christmas lights made the theme even more random, now it’s Christmas on a boat. Oh and if it wasn’t loud enough in this place, the owner kept the volume on the radio cranked up. At least the music(from a radio station) got better towards the end of my stay. I have never seen so many people get up so frequently to go outside and have a smoke. If you were one of the smokers, you weren’t following the rules of smoking 20 feet away from an open-able door or window! Side note — If you’ve never been to a Taiwanese bar before, they serve pitchers with very small beer glasses, makes you think that you’ve had more glasses of beer ;)
