Can’t go wrong! We eat here about twice a week. The big kountry breakfast is a great. My husband gets the Ham instead of chicken fried steak. The Desperado burger is the best in town! If they have pie. Get a piece! Very friendly staff and owner! Enjoy!!! They close at 2:00pm. And closed Sunday’s :(

Horrible place, cold food not a very friendly staff unless your a regular. Heard good things about this place was very disappointed when I got in and tried the food chicken fried steak was cold They give you a small serving of mashed potatoes and beans. cornbread tasted really bad all in all two thumbs down no Bueno

This place is a gem, very friendly staff, great retro-50’s type environment and fantastic home cooking. I had the Big Breakfast and it definitely was that! Probably one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks I’ve ever had, eggs were perfect, and the biscuits were amazing! That and a never empty cup of coffee all for about $ 10 bucks. I will hit this place every time I come to town. It’s kind of hard to see if you aren’t looking for it.

I LOVE this place. I’m a returning customer — not quite a regular but I’ve been a few times — and I am continually impressed at the delicious food, open and friendly atmosphere, and appropriate service and pricing.
I give it 4 stars out of 5 mostly because I can’t seem to find a 4.5 star option. There are a few menu items they make better than others, and the décor is spotty, but I can’t complain and it will continue to be somewhere I visit and enjoy.

Breakfast and lunch only, closes at 2PM. I eat breakfast here whenever I am nearby and it makes my day. The squash casserole on Wednesdays is the best food I have ever eaten anywhere. The stew and cornbread is to die for. The Italian Cream Cake is heavenly. This is the best place to eat in Texas.

GREAT breakfast place with real ham slice! Good biscuits, too! My husband frequently orders the Philly cheese steak or gets something from the lunch buffet, homestyle cooking. I’m hooked on breakfast! They are open later on Fridays — maybe not five star but always dependably tasty. Good local’s place.
