Don’t be put off by the less-than-fancy atmosphere. Mirabella’s is an old-fashioned bakery that bakes almost everything from scratch. We make a special trip across town because the quality is worth it.

Had to order a birthday cake for the office recently and cast a net within that radius. After vetting out their basic vanilla/vanilla cuppie, I was glad to know I didn’t have to worry about a drive into the city! The boss received a lovely chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and everyone was satisfied with the selection. I now have a new problem. That lil german chocolate cuppy I also sampled is sinful! They’ve been in business for 40 years and supply some cookies to local Market Baskets. From the looks of their display cases, Mirabella can most likely handle all of your dessert desires! Well done! Viva la tradición!

Got a first birthday cake here without any idea of the quality of the place. It was well priced and tasted awesome!

NEVERAGAIN ! I ordered a birthday cake and what I got was nothing like I ordered. I went in person to order the cake. I brought in a 8×10 photo of the cake along with hand written instructions. This was shown to the lady decorator while I was there. I was told no problem. Very simple. Apparently not. Wrong colors, wrong shape. I wish I could put the pictures up, but I can’t figure it out. What a joke. My 9 year old granddaughter could have done a better job. Fortunately for me, Luis was able to whip me up another cake that was so much better than the blob of a cake the lady did. Although the colors were better, they were not the pastel colors they should have been. I paid for a three layer cake and got a 2 layer cake.

A classic establishment that definitely receives it’s fair share of praise. Everything they make it either great to at least pretty darn good. However, the item to try(which is only available on weekends) is the Lobster Tail. Beyond words. If you don’t know what it is picture the lovechild of a cannoli and a cream horn. The delicious, plumb lovechild. Get some.

I’ve been here a couple of times over the years and have mixed feelings about this place. Some of the pastries are delicious, especially the canollis. However, their birthday cakes have such sweet frosting that it is virtually inedible. The actual cake itself was average and you can find better at the grocery store. I was also disappointed in their cheesecake which tasted ok, but was strangely mooshy and fell apart. Unfortunately, this bakery is surprisingly expensive given the so so quality.

We stopped in here when we were passing through Tewksbury a few months ago, and I stopped in a second time a month later. I only tried the chocolate chip cookies, and the cream puff so that is all I can comment on, though much of their baked goods look good. The real problem on my first visit was the service, it was horrendous. The served basically ignored me the entire time. I ordered after others in my party, and whenever they told her that I was next to order she wouldn’t even listen to me. I dont know if she was expecting them to order for me or what. By the time she would finally look me in the eye and take my order I was about ready to leave. Not to mention that the service was extremely slow. How long does it take to put a cookie in a box? Then after all that she grabbed the wrong cookie, which I didnt notice until I got outside. Waste of a trip. The second time was better. The staff was friendly, and competent and the cream puff was much better. If I wasn’t picking up something for my brother I would never have gone back, but now i may give it another chance.

Their cake was okay but it looked like something you can get in the grocery store. I also think the red velvet was a little dry.

Everyone who lives in Tewksbury thinks this place is to die for. I think they think this way is only because it’s the only show in town. I don’t know of another bakery in Tewksbury. The cookies are dry, and you have to order any bread products 24 hours in advance. I like bread, but not that bad! I do like the birthday cakes and chocolate log rolls. I find their prices to be higher than other bakeries in surrounding towns.

I ordered a custom birthday cake last weekend for my sisters birthday and was so happy that they were able to make a marble cake with fresh whipped cream frosting within a 48 hour notice! I Had my clumsy husband pick it up and was horrified to dind out he DROPPEDTHECAKE!!! My husband went back in @ 7p(yeah thats when they close) and asked if they could possibly fix it!!! I still can’t believe they obliged!!! It was the most delicious cake I(we) have ever had! It was extremely moist and the whipped cream frosting is light and fluffy; sweet but not too sweet, just they way I like it! I would highly recommend Mirabellas Bakery and am very grateful that the baker not only fixed the cake but was there baking til midnight and allowed my husband to pick it up at 10:30p! Thank you Mirabellas for your kindness, the cake was a HUGE hit and everybody loved it and I am forever grateful!

I’m not one to ever complain but I feel as if my sister got ripped off and could of got her cake done at shawsheen tech bakery and it would of been a way better job than this. She paid $ 61 dollars for a cake cracked down the middle different shade of blue where they must of fixed one of there mistakes… The writing wasn’t straight I’m no baker but come on the words should of been straight. Complete rip off its a shame they were always good there when I was growing up I recently got my gender reveal cake from here but ever since then I’ve heard horror stories about this place and now we have witnessed it. I know there’s way worse things going on in this world but I’m sorry this was not worth the money they charged. I posted a picture it’s the Jordan cake.

I did not visit this location, however I was given a gift of their cookies at a recent gathering, and got to sample some of their pastry as well. So I feel qualified to judge their quality. Loved the Italian butter cookies. Those are quality all the way. And everyone I’ve shared them with so far loved them too. I enjoyed the sampling of the rum cake I had. That has great flavor. The tiramisu bite I sampled… well, there I’ve had better. Can’t win them all. 3 ½ stars is about right for this place. I’ll be generous and give them 4 because I don’t think I should ruin their rating based on what I had. Besides, those cookies were 4 star all the way.

The bakery was good, but the service was terrible. I waited for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged, and there was just one other customer in the store. When that customer left, the woman behind the counter actually turned her back on me and asked the wall if I d like help. She verbally fenced with me while I described what I wanted,(pretending?) not to understand, and then(deliberately??) provided me with a lesser weight of product than I was paying for. This took nearly 20 minutes, and had I any other way to get what I needed, I would have gladly done so. Good enough bakery, but SO not worth the hassle. If I want to be treated this way, I can go to my local Stop and Shop and run through the checkout line a few times

Amazing Italian bakery. Picked up a rum cake and cannoli for my parents’ anniversary. The rum cake was one of the best I’ve ever had, rivaling a now out-of-business bakery in Framingham, MA. The cake had a perfect texture, the custard, fruit, and rum layers were perfectly applied, and the icing and almonds were perfectly done. The cannoli were amazing, too. Perfect shell, deliciously creamy filling, and just the right amount of powdered sugar. I also picked up an éclair for me and that, too, was fantastic. The prices were very low considering the quality of the product. They also have some pre-made dinners and sides available. I am going back to this place for sure!

Fresh and delicious! I was looking for a local bakery around Tewksbury/Andover area. This place is GREAT! Big variety of Italian cookies– biscotti, sandies, chocolate-dipped macaroons, colorful cookies. My favorite was the round raspberry-filled cookie w/powder sugar– the cookie was soo soft! Nice variety of cupcakes and mini pastries/cakes too– ate the mint choc chip cupcake(YUM!), and can’t wait to try the smores cupcake, choc/raspberry cupcake, and mocha cake that I got too! Service was fantastic– the cute couple behind the counter was incredibly nice(like a mom & pop place). The guy even gave me a loaf of italian bread for free with my purchase for coming in! So glad I stopped in– made my day! =)

Always yummy. I can’t remember one time I wasn’t completely satisfied with their baked goods. I’ve been here for everything from my son’s birthday cake to delicious mixed cookies and cannoli. The service is always friendly and I have no complaints! They even took the order for a birthday cake with about a days notice. So great!

I really wanted to give Mirabella’s Bakery four stars but I couldn’t — after all, taste is important. After wanting to visit Mirabella’s for weeks, we finally went and picked up a Lobster Tail, a whoopie pie, a giant frosted cookie, some chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and a frosted gingerbread cookie. The counter service was fantastic — five stars there. But that’s where the good news ends. Sadly the baked goods just didn’t taste as good as they looked. The sugar cookie was soft and not very flavorful, the whoopie pie was very dry — like a Devil Dog really, not a whoopie pie — and the pastry on the Lobster Tail was so tough you couldn’t cut through it with a fork.(We ended up scooping the filling out and throwing away the pastry.) The gingerbread cookie was fine, but not very spicy. The chocolate cake with chocolate frosting was fine, but nothing to write home about. All these treats looked AMAZING so it was kind of dissapointing that they didn’t taste remarkable as well. We also bought a loaf of bread, which I’ll try tonight. Fingers crossed! We didn’t buy any pizza/calzones, which also looked pretty good. We’ll go back and try one, give them another try. Again, great counter service and selection, just a little dissapointing if you’re looking for treats that taste as good as they look.
