I ordered a pizza that I’ve had at other pizza huts before, I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s the one with the mushrooms, spinach and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. It said 14 minutes. I got there about 20 minutes after I ordered and it was ready. After I received the pizza, gave my credit card, signed the receipt, handed back the signed receipt and was given my copy, I was told that they ran out of spinach but«we didn’t charge you for it» is what she said. Uhmmm… you didn’t charge me for not putting on something that was originally supposed to be on the pizza. Okay. I drove off but as I did I got a little perturbed and I turned around and came back — okay that sounds more drastic than it really was — all I did was drive around Albertsons parking lot and came back. I told her that that was not acceptable that they did not call me to let me know that they had run out but rather just made the pizza, let me pay for it and then oh by the way tell me. If this pizza had not been for myself and a friend I would have just said keep it, give me my money back and went home. Anyways, she asked the manager what to do and the manager said to just say sorry and deal with it. She told me that and about two minutes later the manager came to the window and said literally, «what do you want.» I said is there something you can do for me, this was unacceptable. You didn’t call me and you had the time to do so, I mean I drove all the way here and you have my number. He said he can give me a $ 2.50 credit. I took it drove about 5 feet, reversed and took a 20 oz drink for the $ 2.50 and am never going back again. Pity, I love Pizza Hut. Oh, I remembered the kicker. It was NOT all of this. It was that the pizza was SOSALTY. Maybe it’s that the spinach would have brought something to the pizza? I don’t know what it was but it was SOSALTY! And seriously, I’m sure there’s a policy or something but you couldn’t have walked over to Albertsons and bought a thing of spinach? The lady even said that they had another person who complained the day before that they didn’t have the spinach on their pizza either. Seriously, one complaint should be enough for you to change your behavior at a restaurant. I mean it’s not like we were saying ‘the boxes aren’t pretty’ we were saying something that was totally fixable, like ‘we want spinach on the pizza we asked for spinach to be on.‘ I totally sound like an entitled little b* but what can I say, I like my pizza they way I order them, and I consider service and courtesy important.
