I have always used the Good Year Tire shop in my town because they are reliable and always have what I need. However, I went in to the shop this past Tuesday in need of either a patch job or a new tire as my husband said there was a nail in the real passenger tire. They took my car to back and supposedly inspected the tire. They didn’t find any nail. This was at 5:30pm, the shop closes at 6. Upon leaving, I Face Timed with my husband from my phone and we both found the nail in the tire that they apparently did not see or locate. I ended up purchasing a new tire from a different tire shop since Good Year closed the store as soon as I left after they told me my tire was fine. This is totally unacceptable and irresponsible. What if my husband did not insist I double check the tire for the nail and I drove an hour to work and the tire popped? Is this the kind of half-asked service they encourage to repeat customers? I have a photo of the tire with the nail — it was easy to find upon inspection. I will not return to this Good Year or any Good Year store in the future, and I have and will continue to tell people of this extremely negative and haphazard experience and encourage them to use any other tire shop other than Good Year.
