Spring is finally here and so I will plan my annual pilgrimage to Cricket Hill Gardens. The amazing tree peonies should be in full bloom in a few weeks. I knew nothing about Chinese tree peonies before I met the wonderful people at Cricket Hill. Their plants are of the highest quality and their customer service is outstanding with recommendations for planting and follow up on best fertilizers, annual pruning, etc. Great place for gardening enthusiasts to visit on a beautiful spring day!

What an incredible oasis for peony and garden lovers alike. Upon entering cricket hill garden you are transported to what appears to be a Chinese– Buddhist inspired enchanting garden right in Thomaston CT! This is a family owned business and the staff are incredibly helpful and down to earth. The flowers are fascinating and it’s a beautiful place to spend an afternoon catching frogs near the pond or ambling around the wood chip paths. They also have live jazz music on Sundays during their peony Fest from May to June. Do yourself a favor and visit!
