I could not accompany my daughter to her hockey tournament in Chicago, so I purchased the Internet Streaming &DVD package from Goalmaster 28. The Internet streaming was adequate — the quality was poor but it’s streaming over the Internet and I did not expect Netflix quality. But then the DVDs didn’t come. I sent two e-mails, with no response. Finally, I sent a third, indicating that I would be asking for a refund from Paypal, and they finally replied indicating that the DVDs might take 6 weeks to ship. Six weeks after the tournament and still nothing, so I sent another e-mail. A few days later, they replied that they had shipped the DVDs. More than 7 weeks after the end of the tournament, I finally received the DVDs. Only 4 of the 5 games were sent. The quality of the DVD recording was just as bad as the Internet streaming — apparently they used the same compression level for their DVDs! Half the time you couldn’t even make out player numbers, unless they weren’t moving and were right at center ice where the camera was located. They are virtually un-watchable. And the first 14 minutes of the DVD included the Zamboni cleaning the ice before the game — don’t know why they filmed that and why they couldn’t cut it out of the DVD. I have purchased about 10 – 15 sets of DVDs from tournaments over the years, and up until now every single time(with one exception) the DVDs were ready for pick up immediately after the tournament. The other time the company didn’t have them ready and shipped them to me so that I received them 5 days after the end of the tournament. And the quality of all of them was very good. Waiting 7 weeks to receive the DVDs, unanswered e-mails, and extremely poor DVD quality mean I will avoid this company in the future, and I recommend you do the same.
