***ATTENTIONREQUIRED***Way to be disappointed on a Sunday night. How do you show up to a place called«Rico Pollo», which translate to delicious chicken, and the cashier taking your order tells you that they don’t have any chicken left. First off, the place is filthy and disgusting behind the counter. Horrible customer service, 2 young girls, and poorly trained in hospitality. The floor leading to the kitchen looked as if it had never been cleaned since the establishment opened for business. Might get sick eating here, looks unsanitary if you pay attention. Strongly recommend walking back to your car and hop over to another chicken joint. One star for the smell of chicken I experienced while entering and leaving the place… but not worth the regret.

This place was super dirty! The floor, where they were cooking the chicken. Just everywhere was dirty! Plus the cashier didn’t wash her hands after touching money and then touching food. Bad service, rude employees & dirty restaurant.

Great chicken, if you happen to come at a time when it hasn’t been sitting around for a while. One if my pieces was more like chicken jerky. My only gripe is being treated as if it were just a huge pain in the ass to wait on me. Maybe there are some less grumpy people looking for restaurant jobs.

The chicken is ok, the beans and rice are tasteless. I ordered a whole chicken and I got just half. When I asked to see the manager, there wasn’t one. The service nonexistent and sooooooo slow! I will never go back again. I am a chef and don’t advise anyone to eat there.

The food is good, but the costumer service needs som serious evaluation. Very rude and it seems like you’re bothering them when you ask them something. I don’t think I’ve seen worse

Love this place! The chicken is always moist and full of flavor. They are very accommodating. They will give you all white meat, they will split it, whatever you need. The value is great– you get a lot of food! Love eating here!

Me and my fiancé came here for lunch a while back, but needed to go to Wells Fargo first(right next to the restaurant). When we went to enter the back we were accosted by a man yelling that he worked for Rico Pollo and would tow our car if we went into the bank. We told him we were going to Rico right after, and he told us if we did he would have our car towed before we left. So we moved our car 10 ft to the banks parking lot and went somewhere else for lunch. We called Rico Pollo about the unprofessionalism of their employee and an even more rude employee answered the phone. We will never go to this restaurant if this is how they treat prospective customers. Just a tip… there are a lot of good restaurants in Denver, a great way to set your self apart is good customer service, by actually trying to get people in the door and not chasing them away.

I went in there Saturday night at 6:30 pm. I stood at the counter for several minutes feeling pretty dumb, until a flustered young lady finally asks how can I help you? I order and she then informs me they are out of chicken for 30 minutes… Epic fail on your busiest night right in the middle of dinner. Normally food is excellent but not waiting 30 minutes for it.

This chain of mexican grilled chicken establishments is pretty good, they have several locations and the all have a similar menu. The name of the game is chicken. Chickens are split and grilled and can be ordered as a plate(quarter, half or whole), in a burrito or as several other offerings. All in all it’s about the chicken. The food is always good and they are usually pretty quick. Watch out of the grilled jalapenos, they start out mild and then kick you in the teeth. Don’t say you weren’t warned!

I am giving this a 3.5 star rating. I came here wanting to try something different in the area. They serve grilled chicken, Mexican style. They serve them in a quarter, half or whole. I opted to get the half chicken. As soon as I ordered, we had to wait approximately 15 minutes before it was prepared. I’m not sure if they were behind on prepping, but I expected it to be a lot faster. I was ordering this to go, so was kind of in a hurry. I got home and the food looked really good! The chicken was seasoned very well and tasted wonderful. It came with rice, beans, salsa and tortillas. Everything was good except the beans. The beans were re-fried beans, but tasted very very bland. There was no flavor to them at all. I have eaten at numerous Mexican restaurants and this was the first time I had re-fried beans that had absolutely no flavor. I was disappointed, but overall the meal was acceptable. I wouldn’t go here again, because I like my meal to be complete, but would recommend you try the chicken if you wanted to try something new.
