Love love LOVE this store. Was greeted right away when I walked in and was asked if I needed help too. Not only did I get help, but I got some awesome recommendations from the young lady working there. Will come back and will recommend to friends, especially if they are looking for new products to try out!

DONOTSHOPHEREUNLESSYOUWANTTOBEBERATEDFORBEING A CUSTOMER. I went into the store yesterday to find a product by a brand that they carry. I was just shopping and comparing products and a woman named«Elery» approached me and asked if I needed help. I said no thank you. About 5 minutes later, I asked her if there was a problem because she was hovering over me. I continued to look at the products and try out the testers on my hand. After 2 more minutes of her in my personal space, I say«Can you please get out of my personal space as I am just trying to shop and you are making me feel very claustrophobic.» She ignores me and gets about 2 inches away from me and shoves her hand into the row of products I was looking at. She then very accusingly asks me, «Do you know where the tester for this went?» I said, «I don’t know.» She looks around again and says«It’s not there» I look at the products and pull the tester out from behind another of the same product and say«It’s right here.» At this point, I’m getting very short-tempered because I am just trying to shop. She then asks me «Where is the 2nd tester.» I reply«What are you talking about? There was only one.» I then tell her she is being really rude and disrespectful and that it’s unbelievable that she is accusing me of shoplifting. I say to her«Is your shift really that boring that you have to stalk the customers and accuse them of theft?» She then says«We have a big problem with shoplifting…» and continues to go on with a made up excuse as to why she’s profiling and stalking me. There were two elderly women that went into the store that she didn’t hover over and accuse. At this point, I’m getting very tired of this since my night was just ruined, and I just want to purchase my products and leave. I say«I’d like to purchase this.» and she replies, «One moment.» She then goes and starts scanning the product she accused me of taking and started doing random things and making me wait. I then say«Okay you are being so rude and disrespectful and I ask her what her name is. She then says that her name is «Elery» I then tell her that she was completely out of line by falsely accusing me of breaking the law. She then has the audacity to say that I am disrespectful. I then ask her to spell her name and she says that she already did, which she did not. She then said to me, «If you are not going to buy anything get out.» I then just leave because I was over her attitude. You could not pay me to step foot into this store again.

This could be the rudest store I’ve ever been into. The staff goes out of their way to treat you like trash. They behave like its a hassle to have you in their store. I’ve seen them kick kids out just for being kids. Luckily there are alternatives.

Last week a bought a Glo Minerals foundation here. I got home and discovered on day one that I got too dark of a shade. I checked the receipt and it said there was exchanges within 10 days so i made sure I planned a trip(30 minutes from where I live) back to the store before the 10 days were up. I went to exchange the product and when i got to the register and pulled out my box with my brand new foundation and receipt and he informed me that they do not accept exchanges on make up products. I pulled out my receipt that said«No refunds– exchanges only within 10 days» and pointed to that. He reaches behind the counter and pulls out a 4 paragraph plaque that says they don’t accept any exchanges on make up and told me I would have to buy the new color and there was nothing he could do. I understand that small businesses don’t have the luxury of Sephora(who will take back any product– no questions asked). But if I am buying a product that is FINALSALE– they better darn well tell me its FINALSALE before I walk out of that door– especially when I am splurging nearly $ 50 on a foundation!!! Its absolutely ridiculous to me that the owner contradicted the rules stated ONTHERECEIPT and didn’t inform me that it was final sale the week prior when I bought the product. Had i known, I would have made sure I double checked the color I was getting. This is just TERRIBLE customer service and after being a repeat customer of many years– I vow to never again give them my business.

So I have no idea what the negative reviewers are smoking, but this place is the best. Here’s why: #1. They carry Glo Minerals foundation. This is literally the world’s best foundation. I’ve been obsessed with experimenting with different beauty products for 13 years and I can tell you– it’s the best. It’s better than MAC, or any brand you would find at Sephora. So stop that nonsense and come here for better foundation(they’re the only store that carries it close by AND always has it in stock) #2. Alexis is the girl who works here most of the time, and I can tell you that she is literally one of the nicest, most helpful retail workers I have ever encountered. She will really help you find whatever it is that you’re looking for and she can give you advice on most of the products in the store and that’s crucial. She knows her shit. So that’s it. I only need 2 reasons to make this store a regular visit to buy makeup. PS: I live about 30 minutes away, and I’d rather drive here and buy my makeup than purchase it online. I like to support local businesses and this one is a great one to support. :)

I bought something defective and when i took it back to the store, they didn’t have anymore, but the owner would only give me store credit. I wanted my money back so I could buy the same thing elsewhere, but the creep wouldn’t budge. What kind of store doesn’t stand behind their merchandise? I WOULDNEVERSTEPFOOTINTO A BEAUTYESSENTIALSSTOREAGAIN and I GIVEIT A BIGFATZERO. 00000000

Ummm… yeah…I called to get A price, not prices, singular – price on a specific conditioner. I had the name, size and all… the guy refused to do any price quotes over the phone. WTH? OK, no prob. I’ll give my money to a store that actually cares. I had to give it a star per Unilocal! My score a ZERO

A more targeted supply store than many of the others in the Greater L.A. area. Many of the«hot», «common», «trendy» products can be found. A good selection of spa products and nice smelling candles.
