A few days ago my wife delivered our second child at Los Robles. The experience was incredible. The checkin and checkout processes were efficient. Diane and Sherri were some of our first nurses who were both so caring, guiding, and smart. We nearly had to convert to a c-section so the MD asked for the NICU team to join us during the labor. Thank goodness we didn’t need to use them — but having them available meant the world to us during a very uncertain period. That’s part of what makes Los Robles special the family-feel of community care coupled with deep resources that can handle the most challenging circumstances. Needless to say, our OBGYN was the hero that day, Robert Grossman… That is, only after my wife, the #1 hero. Oh, and the food was great too!

Ok let me start by saying this isn’t the first time I have been to this hospital. This review is based on tonight’s visit. I can in tonight with my 15 yr old who hurt her wrist. On the way in I pulled up their website to check what the wait times were currently … It said 6 minutes… Great! We got in right away they registered us and was called back within about 5 min. Everyone who was there that we dealt with was very nice seriously I had three people working on her 1-X-ray tech waiting 1– taking vitals and 1– registering us. We did x rays and sat in the chair waiting for maybe 10 min it came back a fractured bone another guy who really nice I think his name was David wrapped her up in a soft cast he was very gentle and quick and got her done in less then 10 min! Another nurse I didn’t catch her name came back w all the papers, meds, and info went thru it all and out the door we went! Overall a great quick visit. The hospital was clean organized and friendly. I much rather come here then Oxnard !

Horrible horrible place. What is supposed to be a triage and care facility is more like a torture chamber. The nurses are all stuck up bitches who act they’re being inconvenienced for even the tiniest little thing. They leave you on a gurney for 6 hours next to drunk man who screams nonstop. Everyone just walks by you without giving a second glance. They keep saying«You’re next.» but after being in pain and having not one single person give a damn, I just got up and left and decided to dose myself with Tylenol at home instead, this was for a previous head lac from a fainting spell a week earlier and I was told to come back if there were any complications, well, I went into a raging tunnel vision migraine complete with nausea and intense sensitivity to light and sound. They all looked at me like«What do you expect me to do about it?» The PA could’ve given me something for the pain a long time ago, but they didn’t want me to be compromised when the doctor came in. 6 hours and no doctor! How much longer am I supposed to suffer? I didn’t get any attention until I had finally had enough, ripped out my IV, and tried to disoriently stumble for the door. They were just mad because because I had blood dripping all over their nice floor. Then security forceably escorted me out the door while the doctor, who finally showed up! said«You need to learn how to be a better patient. I went to Simi Valley hospital and they took me right in and treated me. One of the nurses there even muttered something under his breath about«Los Robles, yeah, we get a lot of their mistreated cases here.» My advice, go anywhere but Los Robles! The nurses and doctors there are a bunch of a-holes.

My husband went in for a stress test(treadmill) and paid more than I thought he needed to since we have great insurance. They billed us but I called and said we needed to wait for the insurance to see how much we’d owe. Hey, they’re a HOSPITAL, they work with insurance, right? They turned us in to a collection agency and put a ding on our collection report, the ONLY one we have EVER had, EVER! In fact, we overpaid and I had to turn into a collection agencymyself, calling them multiple times to get back the money my husband overpaid. The billing person in essence said«What’s your problem? You should be happy your insurance pays so well!» My problem is that you still have some of MY money. I’d go anywhere else on the planet to have a test. They send out these cards saying what a great place they are with such great customer service. This is definitely NOT my experience.
