MV Tactical provides an excellent instructional training resource for civilians seeking to acquire skills and confidence in the lawful use of firearms for personal defense. Owner/​Chief Instructor Brian Fitzpatrick is an extremely knowledgeable and capable instructor with excellent teaching skills. The Assistant Instructors are also very good — all very knowledgeable and student-​friendly.
First time novice shooters will come away from the classes having acquired new skills/​knowledge and a well-​deserved level of self-​confidence. Long time shooters will not only enhance their existing skills/​knowledge, but will add new skill sets and expertise.
MV Tactical has a wide range of civilian firearms training courses, including without limitation, multiple levels of defensive handgun, CCW, handgun/​shotgun, carbine and civilian response to active shooter. Classes are reasonably priced and frequently scheduled. Range safety is of paramount importance and is emphasized at all times.

Great for all levels. I had very limited experience before taking classes here. I’ve taken the Basic Shooter and the CCW course. Brian and Lou were great at making me feel comfortable with my skill level and gave me the encouragement to improve. As a female, i didnt feel intimidated, They promote the safety needed for responsible firearm use and teach the skills accurate marksmenship. They try to do some fun competition exercises at the end of each class. I am looking forward to the next class.

Great training from someone with 30+ of law enforcement experience. I’ve known Brian as an instructor for over 10 years. He offers high quality training with real world perspectives. I’ve had a fair amount of firearms training. Brian’s courses enhanced that training by focusing on the fundamentals of marksmenship. I’ve taken both the Basic and Intermediate Defensive Pistol course, as well as the 16 hour Ventura County approved CCW course. After taking the CCW course and obtaining the permit, I wanted to continue my training so I took the Advanced Carry Tactics course. I highly recommend the Advanced Carry Tactics course for everyone with a CCW. It helps you prepare for the mindset of carrying a concealed handgun. I have referred several students, with various levels of training, to Brian. They have all reported positive feedback about the courses.
