Payless Shoesource

I bought a pair of shoes and in less than two months they are falling apart. Payless’ idea of the best return policy is $ 12 credit towards the purchase of new shoes. Payless’ «best return policy in the world» has convinced me to but from amazon, who by the way, has a better return policy.

Rebecca is awesome! I went in and was immediately greeted by her and asked if she could help me find what I was looking for… And she did. She assisted me many times throughout my time in the store as well as attending to the other customers. As I was trying on shoes, I heard her offer to look to see if she could order someone kids water shoes online, because it is currently winter and they don’t carry them in the store at the moment.
*To the management, if they read this*: I really hope that who rings the customer up doesn’t matter (commission $) because some girl literally ran to the register to ring me up when Rebecca was just about to. The girl that rang me up was not present at all during the time I was in the store, I was confused that she even worked there because she wasn’t helping anyone. Rebecca catered to every single customer that came in, including myself and did an EXCELLENT job while doing so! Such a great employee! Please give her kudos! Tell her the girl that was looking for «shoes for a cruise» said thank you and great job :)

I’ve gone to this store for years and always feel I get my money’s worth. The employees are super nice, and they are more than happy to help (at least during my visits). The prices are reasonable; they seem to have regular sales. During my last visit here, I saved over $ 25 thanks to their latest sale!
I am only giving four stars since they have a limited quantity of shoes. Nevertheless, if you are looking for good deals in shoes, I suggest checking this place out.

I honestly spent 2 seconds in the store.
My girlfriend was shopping and I came in to join her. It was 6:58 and the lady at the register shouted at me that they were closed. I walked right out.
I understand what it’s like to have people come in as you’re getting ready to close. I also know it’s hard to stay pleasant in those situations but I do it and I accommodate the customer.
Sorry to bother the staff! Please take note that this store closes promptly at 2 minutes to 7 on Sundays!

Nice folks that work there, never had a problem. I DO have to give them props for a great job upselling me all the time (I worked in retail, so when I buy more because of upselling, I’m surprised!).
The only downer I have is the limited array of shoes they have for size 11 and 12 women. :-/​If I want good solid shoes, I have to get them elsewhere, but for black flats (get the Payless Comfort Soles– feels like walking on air) or cheap shoes, go here.

I live in Camarillo, but the Camarillo store has very little stock/​selection and the people who work there are not helpful at all. Thought I’d drive over the hill to try my luck.
This store is much better stocked. The girl who was working there was VERY helpful. She helped me find the pair of shoes I’ve been looking for, AND they were on sale, AND she mentioned if I bought 2 pairs of shoelaces (which I was looking at) she could give me 20% off my entire order! I ended up buying 3 pairs of shoes. One pair was not on display anywhere, but she looked it up and helped me find a pair way up high & got them down for me. That’s how you do customer service. Take note, Camarillo store. I’ll drive over the hill & shop here from now on.
