Consider this my love letter to Jet Set Coffee. As I only discovered them a little under two weeks ago, it’s a whirlwind romance, but I trust it will endure. Potentially always and forever, so long as they’re open. I’m that passionate for their pastries. While on a quest to find the tastiest coffee shop, I realized I had yet to check out Jet Set although they’re located only a few minutes away. Turns out they make everything in-house and their baker, Ebon, is potentially a really for real literal wizard. Everything he makes is pure, unadulterated magic. His cinnamon roll is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had — soft, awash with cinnamon, and topped with a frosting that boasts a well-balanced flavor that isn’t cloyingly sweet. Frankly I am not a coffee connoisseur because I have to stick with decaf, however I still endeavor to learn because even my unrefined palate can tell there is a difference between their coffee and other shops. My friends that do understand how the whole coffee thing works assert that Jet Set is delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with a single thing on the menu, but I’m quite fond of their Americano and the dark chocolate mocha — it uses real chocolate! Guittard, I’ll add, so it’s dairy-free. They also offer the alternatives of soy and almond milk in addition to several different syrups for flavoring. I’ve never been into a coffee shop where they know nearly everyone by name that has been in before yet greets new customers like they’ll become friends and regulars. The owners are clearly committed with their dedication to perfecting the menu, vision for the décor and atmosphere, and penchant for hiring employees with affable personalities. Plus they’re totally nerdy which is an awesome bonus. Everything about Jet Set Coffee is lovely and exquisite, and I’m seriously happy to have some an amazing place so conveniently located. Ask for their stamp card, buy all the things, and come back frequently!

My husband and I just moved to Beaverton and we were looking for some coffee this morning. We saw the reviews for this place and decided to check it out. I got a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin which was amazing, just the right amount of spice versus sweetness! I really like that there is a smaller size than your usual«small» when it comes to the drink sizes. Service was excellent and we really enjoyed our time here this morning! I also love the ambiance. Great place all around in terms of food, service and drinks!

Great find. Run by two brothers that take the time to actually talk with you. Nice relaxing vibe with good smooth coffee at reasonable prices. Great place to go to when you need a break from shopping at Washington Square. Easy to get to. Pastries, as all say, are very good and are made daily.

First off, I love to frequent places that are locally owned and this is exactly that. I only found Jet Set a few months ago and within a few visits, they already knew my order. They are always friendly and good for a quick chat as you wait. The worst thing I can say about this place is that their dark mocha is so good that it has ruined every other mocha for me! I was a Starbucks regular for over a decade and now that I’ve had the mocha at Jet Set, the thought of what Starbucks tastes like is a complete turn off. Now, it’s Jet Set or bust!

Cool environment. Think 1960s TWA air travel. They definitely know how to make an authentic cappuccino, so that ranks them high. And they make their own cold brew. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great cappuccino! I usually go with smaller caps to ensure proper espresso intensity. I went with the larger 12oz and it was perfect!

Went to this place for the first time 5÷23÷16 as I was in the area and had a quick coffee craving. I’m giving this place five stars for two reasons, 1) the Marionberry muffin I had with my coffee was better than anything I’ve ever gotten from any big coffee retail place –AND– they make them in-house, and 2) they guy behind the counter was about the nicest host I’ve ever encountered in any coffee place. The coffee itself was quite good, but how much variation is there really in a breve latte from place to place? None really unless you’re at char-bucks.(Blech). So to sum up, coffee was up to par, muffin was fantastic, service was above & beyond! Way to go!

Walking into Jet Set Coffee is like stepping into a scene from Down With Love, the 60’s style flick starring Ewen MacGregor and Renee Zellwiger. In fact, Travis told me his brother, Seth, got his inspiration for the interior of Jet Set Coffee from the 60’s Atomic Era. Plenty of comfortable tables and chairs make this an excellent spot to bring a date for good coffee and conversation. Travis serves coffee from Dillanos Coffee Roasters out of Washington. I have to tell you that I was relieved when they didn’t serve Stumptown Coffee.(Stumptown is good coffee, but it is hard to differentiate yourselves from other shops that sell Stumptown as well.) The Entrepreneur’s Blend was nice and consistent, a gentle flavor that wasn’t too light or too dark. As my coffee cooled, it didn’t turn too citrus-y or bitter, so Dillanos knows how to make a balanced blend. Travis talked so much about his mother’s pastries that I had to give one a try. My son and I split a Marion Berry muffin. If you are looking for any overly-sweet treat, this muffin will disappoint you. If you are looking for and muffin that toes the savory-sweet line while providing an excellent delivery vehicle for fresh Marion Berries, this is the muffin for you. Travis told me they wanted to create a coffee house that was different from other places in the area, particularly in three areas — décor, coffee, and pastries. In my opinion, they do all of the above very well. My son and I give it two thumbs up.

This place is super clean, well laid out, great drink variety, has almond milk(big for me) and has a selection of amazing looking baked goods. Service was fantastic and friendly and my almond milk latte was perfection.

This was our first coffee stop after moving to the area and we will definitely be back. The first thing I noticed was that they seem to get a lot of regulars because they were greeting guests by name and knew what they normally ordered. The staff was friendly and eager to make suggestions and share personal off-menu favorite concoctions. The coffee was great and their baked goods hit the spot. It was nice to find a local shop among the big chains and this place delivered. It is a little on the pricier side but not outrageous when you consider the quality and service you receive. Already planning a return trip.

Easily my favorite coffee shop. In Oregon. Hands down. Why? Honestly great coffee, rich and smooth every time. Homemade muffins, brownies, cookies scones daily, day old pastries for about half price which are still awesome. No pretension at all here, which I can’t say about many coffee shops in pdx… They would walk you through the entire menu if you asked, and they take great pride in making high quality drinks every time. Real caramel used in lattes, real chocolate in mochas etc. Top of the line espresso machine to boot… I’ve been a regular for just over 6 months, and they welcome me by name as soon as I walk in, which is never expected but shows true attention to service. Great people who work hard, and you should support them!

I ducked in here for an iced mocha on my way to a meeting. Cute place with airplane theme. They have bagels and treats and all the usual coffee drinks. I order them half sweet, and it was perfect. I was asked to choose from white, milk, or dark chocolate. I chose dark. It cost $ 4.50(a little high for 16 ounces) and it was a little slow. But it was delicious with a distinct roasty coffee flavor. Win. Parking at 12:45 is tight. Be careful too, maniac drivers in the lot. Overcaffeinated perhaps? No silly, not me!!;)

This place serves easily the best coffee in Beaverton, anywhere else at best will only ever be on par with this. They also have very friendly staff, a really quirky and fun atmosphere, decent breakfast sandwiches, pastries, outlets. and pretty much anything else you could want in a coffee shop. This is the only coffee shop in Beaverton that can compare with the Portland coffee scene as far as I’ve found. Will surely not disappoint.

Wow what a cool place. I would come here again to meet up with friends anytime. Located across the street from Portland running gear and Nitro knitting store. It shares the plaza with Miller paint, gentle dental, and the ever so awesome Shiraz Persian lunch counter. We got there at about 12 noon on a Saturday. This place is getting really popular. It was almost packed with young, hip, fashionable patrons as well as a smattering of families. The pies are really popular here. The slice we ordered was blackberry/raspberry. It was not overly sweet as many pie places like to use way too much sugar. This was perfect for my taste as I am into the texture and taste of the crust and the filling, not the sugar. You must order their mochas at some point on one of your visits. The turkish mocha was perfect and creamy and heavy with cardamom which I am obsessed with. My husband ordered the Mexican mocha was very flavorful as well. Both are a home run. The décor is early to mid 1960’s airport theme. Kinda like the TV show Pan Am only they celebrate TWA. Really super cute. Really cool music retro soul I think I heard Nina Simone singing; «I put a spell on you»…and Jet Set Coffee certainly did with their Turkish cardamom mocha. The only things I would change would be their hours and have them to be open later as we are night owls. I also would use the space in the back corner under the mural as a place to host poets and music performance. Hope to be back soon. I would imagine this would be the perfect follow up after dining at Shiraz. Stop in and get some dessert and one of those mochas. Puts a spell on me!

Another great coffee place in the burbs! What really sets this place apart are the owners. Its fun by a family and they welcome their customers like it too. The main owners are a pair of brothers and dont be surprised to see them sitting down with customers chit chatting. They are super personable and makes it a great atmosphere to return to. The coffee is great but another bonus is that their pastries are made fresh in house every day. Between their main baker and their mom they put out some awesome sweet treats fresh from the oven that day. They also have bagels from Spielmans Bagel Shop which are properly boiled and delicious. Great place to read, do work, or chat with the eccentric owners, tell them youre name and theyll great you with it next time you come in!

Yes, this is still my weekend haunt. I love the ambiance. The howl of the steamer frothing milk. The whine of the burr grinder. The hum of conversation and the punctuation of laughter. Jazz music playing in the background. A quick note, they’ve change their coffee(used to be Spielman’s coffee). Their new roaster — Dillanos out of Sumner, Washington… Initially I was apprehensive, I liked Spielman’s. But after the first sip, my worries were cleansed away. Especially served as a pour over, the notes pop!

While waiting to get my nails done, my friend and I went to Jet Set Coffee(next door) for some caffeine. We were greeted immediately as we walked in(super friendly staff). The menu print is rather small from the entrance so you may have to walk closer to the pastry case to look. I wasn’t sure what to get(my regular or something different). I saw the chai and was curious so I asked for a sample. Glad I did because I didn’t care for it. It had ginger notes and was very tart. I ended up getting a soy latte and my friend got a drip coffee. The barista walked around the counter to hand me my drink. What a nice gesture! The coffee was delicious, smooth and full of flavor. The pastry case looked really good but didn’t get anything. From the looks of it, everything is made fresh. There was plenty of seating and it’s very welcoming. Overall, I encountered friendly staff and enjoyed a great cup of coffee. If you are in the area, stop by for some caffeine or a sweet treat.
