The inventory at Rubino’s is top notch in terms of a small market Italian Deli. They offer an extended variety of imported foods, locally baked bread, ropes of in-house italian sausage as well as a unique selection of home made sauces. Even if your not a Tinley Park Townie, this place is worth a visit. However I can’t discount the fact that most Italian Deli’s, Rubino’s is no exception… actually make Roast Beef, not«Italian Beef». The beef is thinly sliced but not necessarily tender and flavorful, including the«natural gravy» served in a side container for an additional cost. This place has better things to offer than Roast Beef considering a Portillo’s is down the street.

Rubino’s is always fantastic. The subs are huge and well priced. I also go here for cheese and pastina(which can be very hard to find in the supermarket). You can’t go wrong with any purchase here!

Doing our holiday dinner shopping and we always have to make a special trip out to Rubino’s for the large selection of meats, cheeses and other imported products not available at the Italian store near us. It gets very busy during the holidays, we had to take a number and wait about 10 minutes before we were served, but they move through the numbers pretty quick. The staff behind the counter are the nicest people ever. Even when the place is jam-packed and you have a laundry list of specific items to get like we did, they are always cheerful, polite and eager to help us get whatever we need. We were also hungry so we picked up a couple of Italian beef sandwiches to go, which happened to be on special for $ 3.99 that day. When we got home we unwrapped the sandwiches and they were HUGE! These had to be at least 1lb of beef each, for only $ 3.99! And they were quite tasty, to boot! An awesome deal! Great selection of Italian foodstuffs and awesome ready-to-eat specials!

You were everything, everything that I wanted. WHYAREYOUSOFARAWAYFROMME? This is an authentic Italian Deli. Like straight outta Jersey City, complete with cranky old Italians. The aroma wafting out of this joint was reminiscent of home. I was wondering where all of the Italians in Chicagoland were…90 Mile Round trip. They have sauces, pastas, sandwiches, olive oil, frangelico! FRANGELICO! All freshly prepared. I will most certainly return, if only, for a little piece of home.

I love this place. I like the lasagna. I buy a pound of it for my lunch. You can buy it cold or hot. This is a nice Italian place to eat.

Excellent customer service and food! I love the meatball sandwich and Italian sub. We can never decide what we would rather have for dinner so we get both and cut them in half! Their olives are to die for and they even have them in a «spicy» option. I usually get a half pint of each. The lasagna is amazing. The deli gets a little busy around lunch time but the workers move fast and it is worth the wait. They are known for their breaded steak sandwiches but I have never tried them– that is next on my list. Love Rubinos.

So I picked up the Italian beef from them, I was impressed. The sandwich is bigger than my head, for I believe it was 6.99. Great meat, nothing that will blow the socks off anyone but it’s quality. I will say I wasn’t fully prepared for the water works of unwrapping my sandwich. All in all it was a good cheap sandwich.

Wow. Just wow. My buddy introduced me to this deli. He’s Italian and says if I want good Italian food then this is the place to go. Everything that I have had here has been real quality and to add tasty. The deli is out of this world. Anytime I’m in the area I stop by.

Rubinos is the best. My mother’s side of the family is Italian, and there was a small family crisis when our old source for Italian sausage went under. Enter Rubinos. A family friend recommended this place, and now we’d never go anywhere else. They are kind, considerate, and pleasant every time I’ve ever been there. The deli counter is something out of a time gone by, but don’t be fooled –the place is run like a watch. The servers at the counter greet you like you’re an old family friend, no matter if it was your first visit. They’ve got the best sausage and Italian foodstuffs in the city, in my opinion. We live in the city, but we still make the drive routinely. There just isn’t another Italian store that I can think of, and definitely not one i’d rather go to, even if it was closer. I hope they’re around forever.

Love this place– Gelato, Cannolis, anything from the deli, the imported proscuitto is the best around. Prices are way lower than i expected. Highly recommended.

I have been shopping at rubino’s italian market since they first opened down the street. Rubino’s has the best service that is always fast and very friendly. They have a great selection of italian products, fresh made sausages and a great deli selection. The fresh made salads and sandwiches can not be beat and the prices are very reasonable. So if you are looking for a great place to get a great sandwich at a good price or maybe want to try something Italian for dinner this is the best place to go. They also offer catering options.

Are you hungry? Do you want a sandwich? Are you contemplating Rubino’s but not entirely sure about trying a new place? Go there. Go there now. Listen, I’m a veg girl so from my end… they rock veggies and cheese on fresh bread perfectly. My husband is a meat & potatoes type of guy and has tried both the meatball and sausage sandwiches – both were, as he happily declared between bites, amazing. So right there you have a vegetarian and an omnivore both offering a seal of approval, but wait… there’s more. The sandwiches are huge. HUGE. And cheap. Each sandwich provides us with two meals(& we both have really solid appetites). They always have specials going on where the Enormous Sandwich of the Day is around $ 5.00(give or take). We actually thought there was a mistake in the pricing. Seriously… the sandwiches are giant! Service is nice enough and they keep things moving, especially since they seem endlessly busy. Rubino’s is the real deal. Believe the hype!

The best subs in the area. I usually get a veggie sub, and it’s delicious. I don’t know what kind of dressings they use, but I want some for my home. The store is cool as well. I get my pasta sauces here. Try the spicy arrabiata sauce! The staff here ranges from very friendly to slightly unfriendly, but they’re never rude. Very helpful, too! Also, they have people here who speak multiple languages, so all customers can feel comfortable ordering in the language they prefer. The one thing I would ask them to improve is their hours. I find myself craving Rubino’s when it’s closed. They close too early, but I understand it’s a family-run business. Definitely check out Rubino’s if you’re in the area.

My first visit for lunch and I settled upon their much advertised breaded steak sandwich with red sauce. The famed breaded steak that I had today was not tender at all but incredibly chewy and tough — as if they used really mediocre cut of steak and /or did not cook it long enough. My jaw was actually tired and sore after my 30 minutes of chewing it down. I will likely try Rubino’s again as a new person in the area, but will end up choosing a different sandwich or sub. If they impress me enough for round two, I’ll up that star rating.

One word… AMAZING!!! This little hidden gem is tucked away in a strip mall just east of oak park ave. You have probably drove by a thousand times. If you haven’t, you will, if your not paying attention. The staff is always friend and helpful. Their deli is stunning; from homemade desserts, pasta, and sausage, beef sandwiches, salads they have it all. Too include about 5 isles of groceries all imported. From pasta to sauces, even fresh produce. You will never be disappointed. I stop in at least twice a week for lunch. Here’s the secret if your going in for a sandwich or you know what you want… phone ahead. There is always a line at the deli and if your short on time it pays to phone ahead. A must go if your in the area. Even worth driving the extra mile.
