(Recent bogus reviews?) Just read through some recent low star ratings. This is what is wrong with Unilocal. They don’t monitor bogus reviews. To suddenly get four one star reviews in a matter of a few months? Hopefully Unilocal greeters will see red flags with those reviews!(Maybe Unilocal needs to verify customers somehow so it’s not competition or hard-to-please customers writing reviews.) I have been a customer of Blooming Nail since they opened(probably 10 years), my neighbors go here, friends go here, none of us have ever had experiences as what is described in some of these recent reviews. I still don’t even know the relationship of who owns this or not, so I don’t know how she could’ve figured it out in one day. To write«warning! warning!» on her review is ridiculous. I was just on Unilocal to check their hours(hopefully to get an appointment today), when I saw these recent reviews. I still get this a four star rating! It is extremely clean, peaceful, and new. I have always had mechanicals trimmed great and, despite language differences, they are always polite and appreciative of my business.

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! Please save your money and visit a much better local salon! If i can give 0 star, I really would to say the least. This is a family own business. The owner’s youngest daughter does the gel and is ridiculously rude and has absolutely no respect towards her customers and employees. When I came to this salon for the first time I heard her scream loudly at Spanish employees who were working in the pedicure area insisting an answer to why they were working so slow. She threw used towels on the floor and have the Spanish workers pick them up in front of all the customers there. I lost my speech then. The tools they were using were not sanitized at all. When you come to a spa, you are there to relax. However when I went there I was nowhere close to relaxing. Funny. Some of these Spanish employees did not know how to cut toenails and cuticles. Pretty much they did not know the basics on how to do a pedicure. But because at least she was trying I waited and still gave her a decent tip. After my feet were done, i went to the drying area which was not clean at all. And the owner never cared to clean up the mess… The whole time she was on her iPad watching a movie. There were coffees cups, water bottles and napkins everywhere. If you are wise, you WOULDNOT want to spend a dime at this salon. Low quality, messy, and bad customer service… I would never return to this place again nor would recommend to any of my friends.

Two bad experiences. Each time I went they would hand me over to the least experienced male in there. The fact that the nail polish wasn’t even evenly put on makes it a lost cause for me! I had to ask for them to redo the polish twice. After my first bad experience, I gave them another shot and the second time was exactly the same. Unfortunate being that it’s so close to my house but not worth the price. Which is $ 30 for a basic pedicure(not French)…higher than what I’ve paid at any other salon. Will not be back.

Ok, my absolute last time at this salon! The pedicure was terrible., I could have done a better job myself. It appears that this salon has lost all of their good nail techs! They do not sterilize their instruments either which is why I got a horrible fungus! Stay away from this place!

Went here for a pedicure and gel manicure. She said she was going to fix one of my nails that was broken. Didn’t tell me how much it cost. Charged me $ 75 for a pedicure and gel manicure because it was an extra $ 10 for a broken nail. Ridiculous. And she never even washed my hands from after she filed and started polishing. Just went right over the dusty nails with gel base coat. Will not return

I really may sound behind the times, but I don’t want a man giving me a pedicure. I especially don’t want a male to give me a pedicure and look like he was pained to do so. Will never go back the salon. It was terrible. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Blooming Nails is a very clean and professional nail salon. Everything is very sanitary at this nail salon which is very important to me. It looks like all the tools are cleaned after each use and every station is wiped down as well. I have rarely been disappointed by a manicure or pedicure at Blooming Nails. The nail technicians always take their time when serving you and are very precise about putting on the polish. When you sit down at the dryer, the nail technicians always give a short little back massage, which is a nice extra treat! The staff is friendly overall, but never forces conversation. One downside is that Blooming Nails can get pretty busy. Even at times that you would expect it to be dead, like a Friday morning, the place may still be packed. This means that I’ve had to wait over 30 minutes at times to be taken. I would suggest making an appointment if you’re not prepared to wait. Another downside is the price. $ 10 for a manicure is very reasonable, but a pedicure is $ 30 and I believe a gel manicure is $ 35. The prices aren’t exorbitant, but you can definitely find cheaper in the area. Also, remember to bring cash for a tip. They don’t allow you to put the tip on a credit card.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. I paid $ 60 for FILL. On top of it, they didn’t have the color I wanted, they didn’t shape them the way I asked(I asked for pointed. They were ALREADY pointed and just needed to be reshaped. Instead, they completely changed the shape and rounded them). The gel was applied unevenly, and on top of all that, the woman doing my nails was talking on her cell phone the whole time. Horrible, horrible service. I was planning on getting a pedicure, but there was just no one after seeing my bill and the atrocity my nails turned out to be.

Perfectly fine manicure and pedicure place when you are in a rush, don’t want to have a long conversation with your manicurist, and you want to be in and out. A-OK indeed!
