I love this place. Went here once with a friend for lunch and my gyro was GIGANTIC and so fluffy and fresh. The sauce was delicious and I was just overall so impressed. We ordered a side of fries to share and there was a good amount. Since it was her birthday, we got one of their cheesecakes and it was to die for. I haven’t had a cheesecake that good in years. I’d come here again and again and again. Really affordable too!

Friendly service, convenient location. The food was good for the price. Came here the day after Christmas for lunch with my best friend. I ordered the chicken schwarma platter with rice. The chicken was seasoned well but a little dry. The rice had nice flavor and was a large portion but was a little cold. The house salad served on the side had a nice light dressing. A nice little spot to grab some lunch that isn’t your typical fast-​food, deep-​fried.

VERY good food. I have been hunting for good, reasonably priced Mediterranean since moving to the area. I have not really liked anything and was spoiled when living in MI by my favorite place. This place I would definitely return to.

Tried the falafel salad, which is a combo of falafel, hummus, tabouli, and fatoush, since it would allow me to sample a variety of items (and when they’re made well, I love all of these). The fatoush was excellent: fresh vegetables, tangy dressing with a tickle of herbs. Hummus was very creamy, but some additional garlic and lemon wouldn’t have hurt. Falafels were crunchy crisp, but had a fryer oil aftertaste. Tabouli was quite salty, to the point where the parsely and lemon were drowned out.
No complaints about the service. Setting is a bit more subdued, café-​like than a lot of the small middle eastern places in the area. Might make a return visit if I start craving a fatoush, and the meat items I saw on others’ plates did look worth a try.

We just had lunch there and the shawarma was very dry… the fatoosh and chicken lemon soup were wonderful tasting… I do like my soup warmer

I was just in the Toledo area and was hungry in the afternoon. Came here and wasn’t expecting much in all honesty. The décor is nothing to rave about, but my lamb and beef gyro might have been the best one I have had in the last five years. And it was only $ 5! Well worth it; I’ll be back for more!

Have been going to this place since it opened and love it. I’ve only really had the chicken shawarma and it’s good. Staff is always beyond friendly and food comes out fast!

Tasty, quick, well-​executed Lebanese favorites at a great value price. The grape leaf rolls are the closest to Sitto’s of any place in Toledo. Cannot beat it for the price.

I’m not a Mediterranean food connoisseur, but I’ve been to this place a few times and have been very pleased with the quality of their food. Even though the menu isn’t super extensive, they are great for quick dine-​in or take-​out. I’ve had Greek salads with gyro meat at a few different places now, and this place has the freshest gyro meat and great tasting house dressing. The sandwiches are a bit small, so you might want to get something else to go with them. The food is generally reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it if you’re on the go or picking something up.

If you ask me, this should be on every corner of the US! They are consistent and delicious from one express to another and even with the diner! It’s fresh, delicious, and at a great value.

I try not to practice too much «reactive Unilocaling,» but sometimes, I can’t help it. The Grape Leaf Express is a 1 star restaurant? Sorry, but I just don’t see how.
I agree with Clay C’s comment of «Solid food at fair prices.» TGLE features very good carry out food and service. I just ordered the «party platter,» and some other stuff, and it was all ready in 15 minutes. The girl behind the counter even helped me carry it all to the car. TGLE is great for a quick bite at lunch time, also.
I gave it 4 stars (instead of 5) simply because it’s not The Beirut. Compared to other similar places (Middle Eastern carry outs), it gets 5 stars from me.

Had seen this place on a earlier trip and thought we need to check it out. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip of stores — right next to Marco’s Pizza and it’s headquarters.
Beirut is the VERY best restaurant in Toledo for middle eastern food, however it takes time to eat there — especially being on a Saturday night. Just wanted something more on the lines of a fast food but up scale. This place fit the bill.
You place your order as you go in. There is a menu on the wall or you can look over printed ones that I think are easier for me to look over. Place your order and be seated and they will call you by number. There are low tables as well as a few high top tables. Noticed that there is a back parking lot and one could come in the back door into the restaurant. Everyone there was friendly and the front person did ask how everything was and thanked us for coming in.
My husband ordered the Shish Kabob (beef tenders) that comes with fries & side salad $ 8 and I ordered the appetizer of lamb grape leafs $ 6 and a beef & lamb gryo $ 4, the prices are fair for what was ordered. WOW the side salad was VERY tasty and full of favor (typical salad of greens, cucumbers, onions with a oil based dressing YUM! The fries were done nicely, not under cooked, golden brown and the beef was tender and good. The lamb grape leaves a bit lemony with no lemon sauce on them, they were ok, don’t know if I would order them again. My Beef & lamb gryo and a nice yogurt sauce with spices and the gryo would be one I would order again but not the best I have ever eaten. Overall we were happy with the food for the price.

I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. It is solid food at fair prices. People give out one star reviews far too easily. I have eaten at nearly every Lebanese place in Toledo and can easily say this is one of the best. It’s different from its parent restaurant and has a faster menu (sandwiches and other quick to prepare items). My food has always bee fresh and on point. The staff are friendly as well.
It’s not perfect so I didn’t give it 5 stars. Sometimes their dressings are too salty and it seems they use frozen ingredients for simple things like french fries (which is standard I guess). Either way it is really good and deserves a better rating than the other reviewers gave it.

Very average Lebanese, I have not been to their main location, but the food was fairly cold, and not very flavorful. I ordered a Chicken Shwarma and my mother ordered a Fallafel Sandwich, both were just lacking in flavor, and did not impress us at all.
That being said, the smoothies were pretty good so if you’re in the mood grab a smoothie for the road

My favorite Mediterranean eatery this side of the Maumee River! Super fast service, super cheap, and super good! MMMMMmmmmmm…
