Everyone working there has been very nice. Meatloaf sandwich is really good among most of the menu. Can’t go wrong, a very solid place to grab lunch.

For a small place the plates are huge. Me and my girlfriend went. I ordered the club, she got the Italian sub. We could of just got one sandwich and shared. The waiter was waiting for us to sit down, he had menus in hand. Plenty of food for a reasonable price. Will go back for sure.

Greg’s Grill deserves all the great reviews. Obviously tremendous sandwiches. It is a sandwich shop after all, but try it for breakfast. Its also very good. Greg the owner is always there to personally greet his customers too and I really like his personal touch.

Wow! Believe all of the reviews. Bacon wrapped meatloaf covered in a Siriacha bourbon glaze topped with onion straws! Great meal and service

This is definitely a Five Star restaurant. I don’t have any favorites; everything is first rate. No matter lunch or breakfast, you can’t go wrong. Five Star all the way.

Stopped in again and it was, as always, an amazing experience. This time my friend and I each had the Italiano. And, we each took half home. We also had onion rings and they are yummy. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly and makes me feel welcomed. If you stop by for breakfast you must try something with sausage. It is the best I’ve had anywhere. Will return again soon.

Had ordered the cobb salad, pastrami sandwich, and truffle fries. Everything was very good. Had called in take out order. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My leg is broken and they carried my order to my car. Great food and great staff. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu.

We dropped by Greg’s for breakfast on a Saturday morning, and it quickly became apparent to us that the restaurant was understaffed. As we sat at the front counter, the employees complained about it multiple times in front of us, as well as bickered with each other. This was not a great first impression. I also grew concerned as I watched one of the two cooks touch many surfaces and his face and then handle food, all without gloves. I ordered the«Mountain» omelet and was able to look into the kitchen as it was made. As my omelet came off the griddle, the cook realized he hadn’t put any cheese on it, so he opened the omelet and inserted some slices of hard cheese. It was served to me this way, and I returned it. Once they melted my cheese and returned my meal to me, I opened my butter(which was unsalted butter for some reason) and noticed the container had mold in it. I notified the waitress again and she gave me a new butter, but did not seem particularly surprised or apologetic. Once we were ready to pay our bill, I noticed my meal was comped on the receipt. No more was said about it, and we paid for my husband’s meal and left. We had a pretty disappointing experience, which I think is out of the norm for this place, given all of the other raving reviews. Not sure we will give this place another chance.

There are different types of restaurants for different occasions. Greg’s is a great casual lunch spot. Good sandwiches, nice service, and good prices makes this the kind of place to a regular. We took my wife’s grandmother here for lunch on Grandparents Day. The place is nothing to look at from the outside, but inside has a nice homey feel. The staff was very quick with the refills– which is saying a lot because I usually drink half a gallon of water with lunch. The casual vibe is very comfortable. A baby was making faces at me while I ate, which probably doesn’t happen every time you go, but maybe. It was my first time. Nana and I both had the reuben, which was excellent. The corned beef was not overly greasy, the cheese was very gooey, and the sour kraut was not too heavy. Reubens need a little bite from the kraut, not an overwhelming taste. My wife had a Cuban sandwich without mustard or pickles, but it still tasted pretty good. I think that’s a compliment: good tasting when you remove all the tastiest elements! I had a lobster bisque to start. I knew I would be disappointed, having just moved here from New England. It was not very meaty and surprisingly bland. Maybe I’ll try a different soup next time, but I will not get the bisque if they have it again. The truffle fries were big enough for the three of us to split and a deal at $ 4. While they were not the best fries I ever had, they were still good. I’d recommend getting them. It was a little sad to have to get fries, though. An $ 8 sandwich should probably come with fries, not potato chips. I feel like this is a minor quibble. Greg’s Grill is a good lunch spot. Really good service and a comfortable atmosphere makes me want to be a regular. Good sandwiches and decent prices are really all you need after that.

This was a solid breakfast experience but it left me wanting more. Pleasant atmosphere, nice staff, hot coffee but not quite a «great» breakfast. I was hoping for someone in Toledo to open a really high end breakfast spot with some unique dishes.

My wife and I have been coming here for the past couple of months, and I have to say that the food is dynamite! The restaurant is very clean and inviting. The wait staff is friendly and their service is excellent. If you like great scratch food then this is the place for you!

Stopped in on my lunch break. The restaurant is very, very, very small! And they are pretty busy but the staff was all friendly!! So myself and another to go patron are standing at the counter pretty awkwardly. Everyone seems to be enjoying their food. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and truffle fries and they were both tasty! I’ll be back to try some more grub!

My husband has been raving about the amazing food at Greg’s Grill for months. I was skeptical that my first visit would live up to the hype — but it did. Quality local ingredients and imaginative twists on classic fare, all handcrafted, make this my new favorite breakfast and lunch stop. Even the sausage is made in house, reflecting the artisanal approach of the chef/owner. The surroundings aren’t glamorous but to me that adds to the charm. This is a grill where the food is the star and no shiny trappings are needed to distract visitors from mediocre dishes. There is nothing mediocre about Greg’s Grill. For those wondering if Greg’s Grill is baby friendly, it absolutely is. We brought our 10-month old baby and were given a clean high chair and a hot mug of water to warm a bottle. Our baby was also enamored with the owner who is friendly and interactive with his customers. Greg’s Grill is a definite winner. You can go with a group of serious foodies mixed with picky eaters and everyone will find something to love on the menu.

Excellent place to stop for breakfast or lunch! The food is top notch! I’ve had the cuban and italian sandwich and a burger. Everything is delicious! All sandwiches come with chips but you’ve got to try the truffle fries. They are perfect! The sandwiches are pretty big. You will not leave hungry. The staff is very friendly and the service was great. Definitely worth a try. I could eat here every week.

With three visits under my belt, I now feel qualified to give Greg’s Grill yet another great review. I’ve had the mountain omelet, the market omelet, and the Italiano sub. All three were outstanding. Now, compared to some of the other items on the menu, these three things may seem a little«basic.» Well, basic or not, they were anything but average. Both of the omelets, and the sub, were PERFECTLY executed. The super fresh, high quality ingredients make a huge difference. I left feeling very satisfied(and quite full) after all three visits. As implied above, Greg frequently puts his own unique and creative spin on many of the menu items… check out the online menu and the specials. Super friendly staff(and owner). Fast service. Great location… practically in the dead center of the Toledo metro area. Another cool thing: any item on the menu can be ordered for breakfast. Feel like a blackened ahi burger or a Cuban sandwich at 7 in the morning? Go for it! With a fantastic location, as well as pretty good weekday(opens at 7am) and weekend(opens at 8am) hours, there’s absolutely NO excuse for not throwing some business in Greg’s direction. Eat here. You’ll be glad you did.

I stopped into Greg’s Grill after getting off work early in the area, and I was not disappointed. Since it’s not always easy to find adventurous foods in Toledo, I had to try the most interesting item on the menu, the blackened Ahi Tuna burger. I figured go big or go home. The burger was perfectly cooked, on a soft, buttery brioche bun. The tuna was substantial, and pink in the middle like it should be. Now, I normally never get fries with my sandwiches because I like to delude myself into thinking I’m being super healthy. But I obviously couldn’t turn down the parmesan truffle fries, and I’m glad that I didn’t. Would definitely love to come back and try the other menu items next time I’m in town!

Greg’s Grill is the home of a giant sandwich called the Anti Hero. It’s the size of a small child’s head and it’s packed with meat and cheese. My rather large friend with a rather large appetite ordered one, and was only able to eat half. Yes, it’s $ 13 but damn, it’s got the meat equivalent of 3 normal sized sandwiches. Maybe four. Greg serves up a corned beef hash that is without a doubt some of the best in the city of Toledo. Packed with chunky potatoes, peppers and onions, it’s full of flavor. I ordered mine with a particularly large and fluffy english muffin, and enjoyed every bite. My wife ordered the grilled cheese, which was large and super cheesy. Everything this place serves up is just completely satisfying. I’ve been following Greg’s culinary career for a while now. He’s an awesome dude focused on awesome food. I’m so stoked that he finally has his own restaurant. It’s easily accessible from pretty much anywhere in west Toledo and should be on your to-do list. Normally I save 5 stars for«fine dining» establishments, but Greg has elevated the greasy spoon to a whole new level.

First impressions are good. Wife and I ordered the reuben and the ahi sandwich. Both were great. For me, the reuben is the metre stick of sandwich places, and it was solid. I was super happy to find mustard on the reuben. So many places neglect this. The ahi sandwich was a great deviation from the reuben. If had to change one thing about the ahi sandwich it would be to go lighter on the sauce. I could barely taste the tuna, and tuna sashimi is my all time favorite sashimi. Also tried the cheesecake, which was excellent. It actually tasted handmade. Addictingly so. I can’t wait to go back to try the other items. If the quality and flavor carries through to the other items, this will be re-starred to a 5.

On opening day I had the market omelette and it was great. I went back for corn beef and hash and it was great. The grilled cheese, truffle fries, and Reuben sandwiches are great. But my favorite item has to be the Cuban sandwich, because it is stacked piled high with pastrami and the special mustard sauce makes it unique. Gregs Grill is more than a diner because of their gourmet food. If you go for breakfast I’d suggest corn beef and hash and if you go for lunch I would try the Cuban sandwich. The breakfast burrito is very large, filling, and the best value on the menu.

Ordered the Cuban because I don’t often find it on a diner-like restaurant menu. It was amazing! The pork and ham tasted great and the mustard had just the right amount of spice, in combination with the tangy pickles and brioche bun – this sandwich is a winner! Ordered the truffle fries and they were equally as amazing. The service was fast and friendly. The kids enjoyed their hotdogs and hamburgers. And greg’s mom even chatted with us. You can tell they really care about their diners. No complaints!
