You can always depend on Beesley’s for a great burger and milkshake. I’ve been here countless times over the years and have never been disappointed.

I was not overwhelmed by this place. Staff was friendly, and order was quick. This is a cash only establishment, the only way I knew that it was cash only was the person in front of had to go get cash from the ATM at the gas station next door. Somewhat easy to get to, right off the highway. Food was good, Peanut butter shake was good.

I was hungry and it was 830ish. My husband and I stopped in on our way back to Washougal –home and stopped for a bite. looked it up here on Unilocal saw the reviews and thought okay, they are open so let’s give it a try. My husband order a patty melt with onion rings, I had a cheeseburger deluxe, very good. I had a side of fries and small drink. all and all it was good. it was definitely better than a buyer thru a drive thru. I gave it 3 stars because it was okay.

We stopped here on the way up to Little Creek casino. I am definitely glad we did! The food here was excellent. The burgers were hot and fresh, and very very juicy. The staff member who took my order was more than happy to add barbecue sauce to my burger. There are a couple of downsides to this restaurant. They only take cash, no cards, so make sure you have some on hand — if you do not, there is a gas station nearby with an ATM. There are no wait staff. You place your order at a window, and you have to pick it up when they call your number. The place has a family diner feel, which is very relaxing, and the lack of wait staff does add to that atmosphere. In spite of the minor negative aspects, the food here was so excellent that I will definitely be stopping by next time I am in the area.

I have driven by this off ramp burger joint for many years and never stopped. Recently a television newscaster raved about Mrs. Beesley’s as a great food stop and don’t miss.(Different strokes for different folks I guess) As other reviews have stated, CASHONLY which is not a big deal as 2 cheese burgers, fries and ice tea with tax was only about $ 16.00. The counter help was cordial and efficient, asked all the questions to get our order correct, not her first rodeo. The crinkle fries were plentiful, piping hot, tasty and salted just right. The squirt bottle of ketchup was full and available on every table. The burger had the usual condiments of lettuce, tomato, melted American cheese and pickle slices. The patty was dry and tasteless, likely frozen before cooking and not good enough to make me want to take exit 59 on Interstate 5 to ever get another meal here. Exit 72 has many better tasting options and cheaper gas!

Sorry, but this place is below average to me. Nothing much stood out to me in the food, and the atmosphere was kinda bad and didn’t seem clean to me. This is an alright place to stop if you need something to eat before you head on to the freeway again, but unless you’re on some sort of really long road trip and are tired of McDonald’s, I do not recommend this. TL;DR: Unless you desperately need a place to stop on a road trip, skip it.

Great place to stop off I-5. Just a good, basic, fast burger, really great fries, and the shakes are the best! If you want a gourmet burger, go to a Red Robin or something and pay three times the price for something that tastes only marginally better. For the convenience and flavor, I’ll go with Mrs. Beesley’s any time.

Mrs Beasley is a family run business with the elders working in the morning and adult children in the evening. If you are making the weekend trip home from Portland OR Seattle they’re open till 9 p.m. on Sunday. This place is not your high end burger joint. It is your old school get a cheeseburger for 3 .95 and you get what you pay for $ 3.95. The cheeseburger comes with mayo, onion and a pickle so add catchup before you leave if you’re taking this to go One thing that is a must is there seasonal shakes. The strawberry milkshake is amazing!

Food was ok, service not good. Had to ask for every little thing… down to asking for some napkins and receiving one along with a grumpy face. Not a happy joint

Half way stop for a good freshly cooked burger. Warning: they serve Pepsi products so if you are a Coke fanatic try their arnie palmers for a different optional beverage. I had their freshly cooked veggie burger. It came with all the good veggies and a fresh bun. My hubby had their toasted cheese sandwich. Both very good. Cash only.

Small average restaurant that sells simple meals. It’s pretty decent size. They have a bunch of tables inside and they have two picnic tables on the outside. It’s not as clean as I would want to restaurant to be.

I am genuinely surprised to see some bad reviews. I’ve been stopping at Mrs. Beesley’s ever since I can remember for the last 29 years of my life and it holds a special place in my heart. Definitely the best burger/fast food joint in the south I-5 area. Now that I live about a half hour away, it’s hard to contain myself sometimes when driving by regularly. The food is ridiculously economical and made with love. It’s one of my favorite things in the world to buy a bag of foot long hot dogs and pig out on the long drives to Seattle. =D Mrs Beesley’s is a simple clean burger joint where you can get some awesome food for under $ 10. I’ve never had a bad experience there.

Mrs Beesley’s has incredibly easy on/off access from I-5 Northbound. It has a whimsical EAT sign atop it’s building in 3′ high brightly lit red letters. It has all the trappings of one of those quaint roadside stops. The key word here is trap. I’m not going to spend a lot of time on Mrs Beesley’s, because, quite frankly, they don’t seem to care that, much about what they’re serving. So, what’s the point of going into it too much other than warning people to steer clear of it? You see, Mrs Beesley’s was quite possiblythe worst place that I ever gotten a burger from. The problem lies in the burger patty itself. If you have a bad burger patty, then it doesn’t matter how much you dress it up — it’s going to be a horrible hamburger. I’m not going to speculate just what kind of patties that they’re using at Mrs Beesley’s, because I don’t have that information. They’re cheap and hideous, though. I took one bite of my bacon cheeseburger and promptly put it back in the bag and threw in the trash can. Not only didn’t it taste very fresh at all, but it had a decidedly off flavor to it. It reminded me of those pre-made burgers in foil pouches that you’d find under heat lamps in gas stations or at concession stands at disreputable carnivals. Complete dreck!

I grew up in Seattle and have lived in Portland for 25 years. I’ve probably made 250 round trip car trips between the two cities over the years and I always stop at Mrs. Beesley’s if I’m hungry. The food is good for a burger joint, quick enough, always served by friendly people, and at a reasonable price. Personally, I always order a Garden burger served on a whole wheat bun. They make one of the best Garden burgers I’ve ever had. It is simple, but reminds me of what I would have gotten at a bowling alley in the old days(except that would have been made with meat): Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, hamburger sauce, etc. My friend ordered the fish sandwich and thought it was excellent. We also ordered a chocolate milk shake to share that was plenty filling. I recommend this place to everyone driving up and down I-5.

Like many, I’ve driven by this place on I-5 so many times and wondered what might be hiding under the giant EAT sign. I had a solid recommendation from a trusted friend, so on our family’s most recent trip we finally stopped and gave it a shot. Physically, it is what is — a small, no frills burger stand with minimal seating. The staff was mildly cranky but efficient. Truth be told, we were disappointed with the food. My cheesebuger with bacon was decent but pretty typical fare for this kind of place. My wife’s cheeseburger was over-sauced and the meat didn’t taste quite right. My son vacuumed down his plain cheeseburger but that’s par for the course. The fries were very tasty crinkle-cuts. I think the key may be to discriminate about your toppings, and particularly their house sauce which is relish-based. We may give it another chance sometime, but overall it isn’t worth a specific stop in Toledo.

I drive between Portland and Seattle about once a month, and every time I pass the giant glowing ‘EAT’ sign on the side of the road, beckoning me to Mrs Beesley’s. The past few trips, the boy has been badgering me to pull over so we can get a picture with it… you know where our priorities lie. Finally we pulled over and followed directions. It’s quite good, for a roadside burger joint. We didn’t eat in, but there’s a little dining room with plastic tablecloths and fake flowers on the tables. The girls behind the counter are sullen and bored, and the entire tableau has a very ‘Southern Gothic’ feel by way of small-town Washington. The burgers are good, as are the fries. The milkshakes are delicious. The prices are reasonable(they only take cash). The guy at the gas station next door claimed that Mrs Beesley’s made the best burgers in the state… don’t know if I’d go that far, but it’s a solid, down-home burger. A better road-trip fast-food option than any of the ubiquitous chains.
