I had my very first acupuncture appointment two weeks ago and was amazed at the results. I have been suffering from chronic & acute sinusitis for 10 years and having horrible sinus infections 3 – 4 times a year. At the time I went to my first appointment I felt another infection building and had a terrible headache. After the treatment I had immediate results. It opened my sinus cavity and I started to drain. My headache started to diminish as well. I continued to drain the next day and throughout the week and felt great. Two weeks later and no infection and still feeling good. I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Karen Hearn-​Abbott. She is amazing and so thorough, attentive, kind and caring. I highly recommend acupuncture and Dr. Karen.

I just had my first acupuncture experience with Dr. Hearn-​Abbott and it was wonderful! She is very sweet, kind and exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable. Her office is a small, cozy and relaxing space and I instantly felt welcomed and at ease. After filling out the initial paperwork, she went through everything with me very thoroughly and took the time to get to know me. I decided to try acupuncture for several minor health issues I’ve been experiencing, including near-​constant allergies.
During my appointment, I really appreciated her talking me through everything she did beforehand so there were no surprises. Once the needles were in, I slowly shifted into a deeper relaxation and sense of well-​being. She checked in on me several times, adding needles where needed. Towards the end, she used electro-​stimulation and a high-​frequency sound wave ultrasound tool, both of which aided in releasing the tension in my body.
Before leaving, she also did a muscle test and gave me a beetroot supplement to help with liver detoxification. I’m really looking forward to the next couple of days and the next week to notice the lasting benefits of this healing techniques and see what has cleared up for me.
I’ll be returning to Dr. Hearn-​Abbott for regular treatment and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.

It doesn’t get any better than this. It seems like whenever it is time for me to go on a vacation… my shoulder or back goes out. Karen is my go to person. She does amazing work and always seems to get to the root of the problem fast. On Monday, my back went out and I got in to her in the afternoon and walked out of her office much straighter than I walked in. I had one more session yesterday and I am healed! Her prices are great and her office is an nice cozy cottage atmosphere, great music, great temperature, comfy table. You can ask for more. I highly recommend her services, they WOrK!

I have been a patient of Karen’s for about 10 years and I can not recommend her enough. She has helped me with everything from my blood pressure, to my back as well as my physical and emotional well being and herbal supplements. She is extremely knowledgeable and is constantly attending seminars and classes to keep her up to date and informed. But best of all she is very approachable and kind and you know she will do whatever it takes to help you feel better. She gets 10 stars from me.

I had recently been driving down from the North SFV to Santa Monica /​Venice for some acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments. I was provided Karen’s name by a friend of mine.
I spoke with Karen and she made an appointment. After I arrived, the first word I’ll use is «thorough». Before any treatment, she spent a considerable amount of time «figuring me out». Then she provided an extremely soothing acupuncture treatment. In fact, I don’t know when I’ve ever been so relaxed and so calm.
She also suggested some enzyme supplements and I believe those capsules have prolonged the affects of her accupuncture treatment. The environment of her office was also clean, calm and professional.
I’d guess Karen’s demeanor was a big part of my whole experience. She isn’t rushed and sought considerable information about me, without being unreasonable or excessive.

AFTER, the treatment, I noted a marked «positive» change in my digestive system. I’m returning for another session, about 10 days after my first appointment. I’d gladly recommend Karen Hearn-​Abbott to anyone seeking professional acupuncture and Chinese medicine healthcare.
I have a feeling I’ll be seeing Karen for some time.

Karen really cares about the treatment she gives to her clients. Every treatment I get builds on whatever is going on with me at that given time, as she takes the time to discover if there’s anything new upon which she may adjust her treatment on me other than the norm. When I’m done with my treatment, I feel as relaxed as if I got a full body massage. The herbs that she recommended me got my nutritionist/​personal trainer a thumbs up to help me with weight loss. Karen makes me feel comfortable and relaxed during my treatment. I recommend Karen to everyone who wants to get Acupuncture!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for some time now. My husband and I been a patients of Karen for a number of years and she is fantastic! Not only is she as very skilled acupuncturist and healer, but also, in general, she always goes the extra mile to help her patients. She is always taking measures to make sure you are comfortable and is very gentle when placing the needles. Yesterday I had a migraine from the moment I woke up that no amount of drugs, yoga, water, caffeine could get rid of. Karen fit me in the day of and after some time with needles and some neck massaging (I tell you above-​and-​beyond) I left headache free and feeling great! She works with a number of insurances and also is trained in NAET (natural allergy elimination technique). If you are looking for a practitioner to help you with pain or a chronic condition naturally, you won’t find anyone better! She is a wonderful person and a very talented acupuncturist.
