This marvelous establishment, owned and run for almost 5 decades by Eleanor Rodriguez and co., and frequented by Lakeside Golf Club members and Hollywood folk alike, sadly has come to an end. I just drove by, and it has been devoured by Sweetsalt next door. Eleanor introduced me to Sweetsalt because she loved their food, so it’s not so bad. But it’s another life’s signpost that’s not there anymore…

This is a fantastic hidden gem of a barbershop. Untouched by time, it has unadulterated charm.
I finally managed to have the time to visit the shop. I was immediately greeted and offered a chair. Marge introduced herself and was warm with her welcome. She’s been cutting hair at the shop for well over 15+ years, so I knew I was in capable hands.
A short should massage, 2 adjustments with the clippers and quick snip of the split ends and I was done. In and out in 15 minutes. No muss, no fuss. I don’t think I’ve looked this pretty since charm school.
Guys, I definitely recommend this shop. Did I mention they have ample reading material, should you need to wait a few?!
Be sure to bring some green, no credit cards. Closed on Mondays.
