Hampton Inn & Suites – Tomball

Accommodation were suitable. Fair warning though– not a very honest management staff. I accidentally left 3 pairs of shoes and a favorite sweater. I called to see if anyone could help me– twice. Did not even revive a courtesy call back. I know when it comes down to it, it was my fault for leaving without checking that I had everything — and it was very upsetting. But to not receive any feedback — that’s just not good costumer service and certainly not the hospitality I would expect. Super disappointing.

This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a while. The hotel was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was big with lots of counter space, and nooks/​hooks to put towels. There was also great toiletries provided by the hotel. There’s a microwave and fridge in all rooms, which came in handy for us. The king size bed was comfortable and the bedding was not bad. The pull out sleeper in the couch came in handy when, due to an emergency, my best friend needed a place to crash for a couple of days.
The staff was super helpful, and even provided me with safety pins for my dress. because of all of the chaos in my room, we couldn’t get the regular room service, so I went downstairs and asked for new sheets. Not only did they offer to bring the new sheets up to me, but they made the bed and the sleeper sofa bed, without me even asking. Anything we needed, they were there. The hotel is also close to the highway, food options and shopping– which is convenient.
I had a really great stay, and would recommend anyone to stay there as well– although I, personally, never want to return to the city of Tomball ever again :)

Excellent room. Very clean. I wish the price was lower, only because it is a smaller town, but it is a peak season for them with the Tex Ren Fest going on so it is understandable. The bathroom is huge! I’ve been in several hotels and the bathrooms were smaller than the one I have at home. LOVE the hooks on the walls instead of the bars. The closet is small, but easy to deal with. LOVE LOVE LOVE the chaise lounge in my room.

In general, I find Hampton Inns to be on the bottom rung of the Hilton totem pole compared to Doubletree or Embassy Suites. If you don’t have status and are looking for free Wifi, (usually) free parking, and other free amenities, then Hampton Inns are your kind of place. If you have status though (I’m diamond), these amenities are typically included, even at the nicer hotels. Due to work, I didn’t really have a choice but to stay here.
When rating this Hampton Inn, I decided to rate it against other Hampton Inns. Frankly, it’s not up to par. I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Jacksonville Beach last month, which was really nice — spacious, sliding door with balcony, etc. In contrast, this Hampton Inn was probably the most cramped Hampton Inn I’ve been to (even compared to Mount Laurel, NJ). There was still a fridge and microwave, but it was in the middle of the room. The setup of the room reminded me of the Courtyard Marriott in Layton, UT. Everything was crammed into one big room.
Breakfast was okay, although nothing beats the Doubletree breakfast buffet in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. There were your typical Hampton Inn scrambled eggs, folded omelets, watery meat, etc. But above all, the fruit was severely bruised. I felt like we were at the dollar store with all the picked over fruit. I realize I am spoiled sometimes, but I really don’t expect an apple to be completely brown on all sides!

This is a nice clean hotel. I recommend staying in Hampton Inn, it’s clean and affordable.

Another good Hampton, towards the top of my list. I have stayed here on 2 occasions now, and both experiences were pleasant. It is a more expensive Hampton, but given its proximity to Houston I was expecting the higher rates.

I just spent 5 nights at this hotel. The room was very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive. Housekeeping staff particularly did a great job. Breakfast had good variety.
Convenient to everything I needed. I would stay again.

Hampton really needs to remodel. I’m starting to compare them with La Quinta.
