Really good food at a really good price. I go there for lunch sometimes. It’s deli style. You go up and they have a different selection of entrees and sides everyday. There’s about 8 different dishes usually. For $ 6 you get 2 choices of entrée with rice and bread. Not bad. And then sembosa for $ 1 and the crispy fried veggies. It’s all yummy. It’s in a grocery store so it’s better to go but they do have some seating.

A great place to stop by for a quick, inexpensive, and tasty meal. It’s sort of like a Panda Express, but for Indian food that is frequented by Indian people. Whenever I seek out ethnic foods, it’s always a good sign if that place is frequented by people of that culture. I usually get the combo with vegatables and chicken Tikka Masala, but I would substitute the chapati bread for naan. And don’t forget to pick up some samosas as well. You get all of this for what you spend for a combo at your typical fast food joint, but it’s definitely more satisfying.

This is our place to order take outs. The place is small but has the most delicious Indian curries. We haven’t dined in the place as it looks small. But we have seen other people who sit and eat there. We haven’t tried the lunch buffet here yet but we order ala-carte curries and nan. I must say the consistency in taste is just unbelievable. They have raised our expectation from Indian food in US. Seriously there are only so many places that you get really tasty and savory Indian food. The curries we have ordered in the past: Chicken do pyaza, malai kofta curry, chicken saag, paneer butter musala, chicken tikka masala, yellow dal. Everything is just delicious. One curry ala carte order is enough for 3 people I would say.

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had, I ordered Chana Masala and garlic naan with my combo and waited 10 minutes when I got home the box was empty and the garlic naan was chewy and microwaved I had to pay extra $ 1.50 for garlic on my naan and it was so gross with hardly any garlic, I just spent $ 16.00 on the shittiest food ever!

YUM! :’) This was the first place that I tried Indian cuisine, and it was geeeeewd not to mention cheap. Pros: –Free chai tea! It comes in a dispenser near the place you order. –The pricing is really good! –Tikka MASALA: is BOMMMMMMMB here. My friends all raved about how delicious it was! must try –It seems family owned, and the gentleman who helped us was very nice and patient as we mulled over the choices. –The food in general is very savory, and they offer plenty of choices for one to experience. I’m eager to come again and try other dishes~ Cons: –The seating is compact and tight. It’s hard to move around once you sit– but take out should do you justice! Or sit outside as there are a couple tables available *You pay AFTER the meal** :)

Came to AIS&S to pick up a quick lunch. You have the option of ordering off of their full menu, or getting something from their steam table. The steam table is broken up into two sections: vegetarian, and curries with meat. From the steam table, you can get things a la carte, or you can go for a combo that includes rice and a piece of chapati(flatbread/tortilla like thingy). Note: If you don’t like spicy food, ask the person what is mild. Everything I had except for the Samosa had a good kick to it. I wanted to get the Masala Dosa, which is a crispy crêpe filled with spiced potato and veggie curry, which is served with a spicy lentil soup and veggie curry for dipping. Since I was taking it to go, I was advised not to order this since it would get soggy. I appreciated the advice and I even got a free sample of the spicy lentil soup. I was THIS close to getting the soup because it was so delicious, but decided to save it for next time and try their other dishes. I ended up ordering a combo that included one meat, and two veggie dishes: chicken tika masala(AWESOME), a cauliflower yogurt curry, and a veggie samosa. I wouldn’t get the samosa again, but everything else was excellent and well spiced. I was in and out for under $ 7. Highly recommend. Tip: If you are tired of paying a lot of money for spices at your regular supermarket, you can find a few here for much cheaper. I had my eye on a 1 pound container of cumin for $ 5.99. They also offered a few other spices like garam masala, spicy chile powder, and some curries. Not sure about the quality, but they also had really reasonably priced jars of ghee. Happy eating!

Samosas for $ 0.75 cents! Walked in here for the first time, you can tell it’s family owned because the owner was there discussing prices and menus. I was the only non-Indian person there, which means you know this place is good. However, they didn’t make me feel like an outsider, so it was a nice atmosphere. Small little shop with a couple Indian cooking items like spices and sauces, and I picked up some butter chicken simmer sauce for 3.99 The register is near the warm plates and I saw pans filled with various items you can order-tikka masala, chickpeas, etc. along with some homemade Indian desserts. The entrees are very cheap and around $ 4 – 7 depending on vegetarian or meat entrees. I ordered two samosas and the guy asked if I wanted chutney too. The samosas were a nice size and I liked that the dough wasn’t too thick. The chutneys were awesome! Very fresh, spicy and sweet, and a wonderful compliment. The filling was nicely spiced and hearty. Made for an excellent snack, and for $ 0.75/samosa, you can’t beat that price. It is very small, there’s two tables outside and maybe seating for 6 – 8 people inside, so during lunch rush I would take it to go. Overall, I like supporting small family owned businesses and I had a good first time here. I will come back to sample their desserts/entrees, and I reccommend you stop by and try their food.

Great little store filled with tasty food, Indian grocery items and great service. We enjoyed the samosas and different vegan dishes the best! Mostly the bean dishes. We will be back here because it is close and is a convenient location from our home!

This place is frustrating. People cut you in line. They didn’t pack our food properly so by the time we got home the choleh were all mixed with the chicken tikka masala. Nothing tastes like it was supposed to. Maybe dine in is better.

This place is as unprepossessing as a place could possibly be, but the food is terrific! It’s housed in a semi rundown strip mall on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance — not exactly where you run to go looking for Indian food — but surprise! And the prices are unbelievably right. They serve the food on styrofoam trays with plastic forks. This is definitely not where you want to go on a date, unless your date likes plain-wrap Indian food as much as you do. But if you’re grabbing a lunch on your own, or with a business partner who loves good, bargain Indian, this place is a real find, and the genuine article.

We tried them for a late lunch and were served some very freshly made home-style Punjabi food and masala dosas. Inside seating was a bit crowded, so we used the outside tables to enjoy our food, it felt like sitting in an Indian«dhaba». There version of the lunch thali was only $ 5, incl. 3 curries, raita, pickle with rice and roti. Masala dosa’s were very good, though sambar and chutney tasted a bit off. On the whole it was a great experience with genuinely friendly service and really fresh food.

All Indian Sweets and Snacks is a combination of a small restaurant with a steam table operation and a grocery store. It is located in a cramped plaza on Hawthorne next to the Scott Robinson car dealership. The plaza mandates a clockwise drive through it but as this has not been marked clearly almost all newcomers end up having to back out as they enter from the wrong side. The restaurant itself is tiny with about 4 – 5 cramped tables inside and a couple out on the patio. The sides have shelves which host Indian spices and snacks making the restaurant feel absolutely claustrophobic. Only the brave actually dine in and most people get the food to go. I used to come here periodically a couple of years ago before I started working near Artesia, as I realized that is scrapping the bottom of the barrel as far as Indian food is concerned. I decided to give it another try to see if the food had improved over the years so stopped by to grab lunch to-go a couple of days ago. At the peak lunch hour there was a line which was 5 people deep plus a lot of people hanging around for their orders so expect to say excuse me a couple of times. I decided to get a simple two vegetarian and one meat combo($ 5.99) to-go and got the channa masala(chickpeas curry), goat curry and one more item that I don’t recollect. The combo comes with rice and chapati(unleavened flat-bread made of wheat). The chapati is not kept with the steam table but is got from inside the kitchen which is why you have people hanging around even after ordering and paying. They take credit cards but with a $ 10 minimum so it’s effectively a cash only place. After a couple of minutes I had the chapati and was on my way. Taste-wise not much has changed over the years. The channa masala felt almost tasteless like they had forgotten to add the spices(it could also use a little more seasoning). The rice had turned hard waiting on the steam table. The goat curry was literally 4 pieces of bone in a watery gravy. The chapati was dry, hard and chewy. It was the worst of the lot worthy of a straight transfer to the dustbin. Everything else was just barely edible. It’s cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. I would recommend that you sub the chapati in the combo with naan for a couple of bucks more and if you are planning to get non-vegetarian dishes get them a-la-carte as what you get as part of the the combo is a joke. I would be back only if I wanted to get a cheap meal or did not feel like driving to Al-Noor in Inglewood.

Amazingly affordable and delicious Punjabi joint! My friend and I have been to many Indian places seeking the best curry and I think this is the winner thus far. I can’t say this is the best dining experiences because the tables are crammed and it’s hard to sit and eat but the curry and nan is incredibly sound. Take out might be the best way to actually relax and indulge in the spices. I would recommend getting the combo so you can sample 2 or 3 different curries and see for yourself. I had the tikka masala, chicken curry and the lentil curry. Solid favors, aroma and great portions! Lunch combos start from $ 4.99. Dinner combos start from $ 5.99. The fact that the customer base was predominantly S. Asian and it was packed speaks volumes too. Can’t wait to go back and try the other curries!

I don’t know what it is but I am a sucker for hole in the wall Indian restaurants. All Indian sweets and snacks is hidden in a strip mall in the corner of Hawthorne and Torrance blvd in Torrance. Driving by without Unilocal you would never know that there would be good Indian food inside. I usually order the two vegetable and one meet combo and I add an order of Garlic Naan. The food is all behind the counter like a school cafeteria but its actually pretty good. My favorite meet is of course the Chicken Tikka Masala but the Chicken curry is not bad either. I usually just random vegetable curries but they are usually pretty good depending on what vegetables your in the mood for. The Naan is always made fresh right on the grill and tastes delicious and authentic. If your in the mood for Samosa look and you see it in the front that’s what your gonna get so if you see none they will make it fresh for you which tastes much better. If you The Mango Lassi is also a must have and is made fresh. Keep in mind this is not really a restaurant since there are only maybe enough room for 5 – 6 people so I usually get it togo and eat it at home where I don’t have to worry about making a mess of my face. The service is really straight forward so don’t get offended if you feel like they are giving you a cold shoulder.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since I’ve read so many great reviews. Finally, it’s off my «to-try» bookmarked list! It’s definitely a hole-in-the wall. All Indian Sweets and Snacks kinda reminds me of a tiny tiny, no I mean REALLY tiny grocery store, with hot food you can order towards the back of the shop. There are tables and chairs set up in the middle of the shop that’s a pretty tight squeeze(long community style tables). Went there for dinner, 30 minutes before closing. Parking wasn’t too bad at this time(9:30pm). There was one lady in front of us who wanted to eat there but the the guy at the register tried to convince her they were closing up soon. In fact, chairs were being lifted onto the tables while we ordered our combo meals. So if you wanna dine in, get there at least one hour before closing. There’s two display cases showcasing their variety of specialties under heat lamps. I ordered the one meat and two veggies combo deal to-go for $ 5.99. Chicken Tikka Masala –Pieces of tender boneless grilled tandoori chicken in spices Delicious, but disappointed that they only gave out a few small pieces compared to the veggies(4⁄5) Channa Masala –Garbanzo beans and spices Delicious, but WATCHOUT, It’s pretty spicy! I ate more rice than I wanted, to compensate for the kick. I would’ve liked it more if it was less spicy.(3⁄5) Bhindi Masala –Okra sauteed in cumin, ginger, tomatoes and garlic. Meh, it was just okay.(2⁄5) Our order came with rice and bread. I took one bite of the bread and left it alone. It’s kinda between a pita and tortilla, in wheat with a chewy consistency. I didn’t know we could substitute the bread for Naan for an additional fee. I wasn’t given that option. I noticed it on their to-go menu when I arrived home. Service was like what you would expect at a Chinese restaurant, I’m sure you all no what I’m talking about. It is what it is. Cheap and fast comfort food. Will I go back? Sure, but hook me up with some more chicken tikka masala, please! Oh and I’d definitely substitute the bread for Naan. FYI… They accept credit cards They offer catering Free Delivery with over $ 20 purchase and within a five mile radius and upon availability Open 7 days a week 11am to 10pm
