Authentic enough for me is when the cashier doesn’t speak English well, so I get to show off the few words of Spanish I know. A small menu but nice selection. For any of the items, you can choose Carne Asada, Chicken, Carnitas, Adobada, Chile Verde, and Lengua(tongue, in case you haven’t had any lately). The winning deal here is their combo for $ 7.25: take your choice of a taco plate, burrito(and 2 others), served with rice, beans, chips, and a drink. Burritos, tried the breakfast one: 2 eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, sausage, hash browns, salsa — a steal at $ 4.25. Totally worthy. Tacos($ 1.99 for hard, $ 1.65 for soft), double tortilla fried, like I need the extra carbs? The shell was tasty, of course, but the extra tortilla made it tough to bite thru or get a crunch. With 6 choices of meats — I chose the Carnitas. It was lean, tender, and shredded — excellent. Note: they open early and close early(5pm weekdays), have a few little tables to sit outside, and NO wifi.

I love their breakfast burrito. I wished they served it all day, but I know that is unreasonable. Food is good, service is always friendly.

The prices are very reasonable for dollar/portion I was barely able to finish there Wet Burrito and for those who eat lightly you most likely be able to take the food home.

I just got a breakfast burrito from there to go. I asked for a bacon breakfast burrito. I get a burrito with ham, bacon, sausage, and egg. He skipped the hash browns… I think it was because he was the only one there. Not going back!

I’ve passed by this place probably 1,000 times in my life, but never stopped in until today. The prices are so reasonable and the food so authentic! I got two carne asada tacos with some chips & salsa and it was plenty. The breakfast menu looked amazing as well, so I’ll definitely be stopping in for their breakfast burrito sometime. The salsa was delicious, but a bit too spicy for me(and I LOVE spicy food). Also, they put a lot of raw onions on the tacos, so if you’re not too big of an onion fan, prepare to pick some off. Overall, the food was excellent. I’ll definitely be back!

No habla Espanol, pero I love Mexican food. Oh man oh man, does AT deliver quality and quantity or wut ?! — the whole package(unlike your lady). I ate all two big jalapenos, and kinda paid the price later… it burned during my bio-recycle process(TMI?). IMO, benchmark of superb Mexican food. Money back guaranteed(just kidding). Got the Pollo Taco Burrito, shiet dude, it was how a burrito should be. I am lucky that I live close-by and could get my Mexican fix easily. My recent visit reconfirmed that AT is THE Mexican comida in the hood. Must read this update: 2 weeks later, I returned and decided to be a little adventurous — got the Mexi Bowl. Basically, in a tub, mix of rice, beans, diced onion, cilantro, and meat of your choice. I got it with pollo. I say one thing, the volume, holy frijoles, it was HUGE. It could feed 5 kids. Seriously. It also came with about 5 totillas, maybe more than 5, I stopped at three and there seemed to be a few layers left… If you have an apetite of a starving pig, get the Mexi Bowl. But I doubt you can finish it. Bet you two tacos, that you can’t.

We have gone to this place many times over the past 7 – 8 years. I love their combo platters. Their MexiBowl is also pretty tasty. There are only two drawbacks to this place. The location is a very high traffic area. Being on the corner of Lomita and Crenshaw it can be difficult to get in and out of. The other drawback are the hours. I work until 6 near Santa Monica. I generally can’t get there before it closes. If it were open later, I would definitely go there a lot more. Last I checked they weren’t open Sundays or Mondays. This unfortunately means that we don’t get to go there all that often. I can deal with the location because it is close to my home, but because of where it is, I usually have to go down Crenshaw, do a U– turn and head back because traffic at this corner can be nightmare.

I live a block around the corner from this place and have patronized them for years, but the last year or so it’s been going downhill. THELAST7TIMES I’ve been there they haven’t been able to fill my order due to running out of ingredients. The last 2 times I’ve gone in there for a breakfast burrito, they’re out of breakfast stuff, and this is at 10:00am! The last 5 times I’ve gone in for a «Amigo’s Famous Wet Burrito» for dinner, they’re out of Carne Asada?! How can a mexican restaurant run out of Carne Asada? I don’t see the owner around much anymore, maybe that has something to do with it. The kid who runs the register always gets me to try something else when he tells me they’re out of carne asada, and 2 times I’ve taken him up on it and it’s been a let down. The chicken burrito he talked me into was gross, and the bar-b-q pork didn’t fair any better. The other thing that really bothers me is that their closing hour is always changing. Sometimes they decide to close at 6:00pm, sometimes 7, sometimes 6:45, honestly I think they should be open until 8:00pm every night. And if you’re supposed to be open until 7pm and you run out of carne asada at 5:00pm, wouldn’t you cook more? This place isn’t what it used to be. The owner is actually a really nice guy, but the 2 guys running the place when he’s not there are letting me down time and time again. Don’t go here if you’re really craving carne asada, because chances are they won’t have it.

just finished my food from here and boy was it good. the drive home was hell. it smelled so good that it justified going 65 down crenshaw. BUT don’t come around the time i went(5-ish) because its lomita and crenshaw and those streets are PACKED. got the combo #1 3 tacos, beans, rice, chips & salsa with a soda = $ 7.96

Another great inexpensive place if you live in the area. First time here and I wasn’t disappointed. Ordered the Amigos Burrito Special and this thing was HUGE! Filled with lots of meat and best part lots of guacamole with chunks of avocado. It came with marinated carrots and lots of them too — I usually don’t eat these, but decided to give them a try and I loved them too! Not to spicy and vinegary and made from FRESH carrots not frozen. Service was fast, though it was 7:30 pm and it was me and another customer. Next time, I gotta try the breakfast burrito. I would give this place a five(5) star, but they don’t offer a to-go menu. I need a menu, even though it’s the standard food; tacos, burritos, nachos, etc.

The burritos here are HUGE! I could only eat about 60% of it before I was just really stuffed. It was fairly tasty as well, not the best but way better than the close and packed chioptle. Unlike chipotle, this is real Mexican food! I am still in food coma mode right now. The nachos were not very good, the chips has a weird flavor. I was not impressed.

Really good, I get lunch here all the time. Portions are huge, especially the wet burrito. Six kinds of meats. Very good value, better tasting than Chipotle and cheaper. Salsa could be a bit tangier(for me) and the rice can be a bit clumpy, but overall an excellent lunch stop. Get it to go and save some for later.

Good flavor in their salsas, good sized tasty burritos and nachos. The prices are somewhat competitive, considering the area it’s in. In my opinion it’s one of the best authentic tastes in the area, at a good value for what you’re getting. The Hermosa location is the only one with the habañero sauce which is very spicy and good. The Manhattan and Hawthorne locations are also about the same as the Torrance ones.

Way too good Mexi-Food on a way too busy stretch of Crenshaw Bl. Great authentic food in fast-foody atmosphere. I’ve had the carnitas, carne asada, chicken, even tongue tacos’ and they were all muy bien. Service is blazing fast. Oh yeah, breakfast burritos too. Quickly turning into my Fav mexi fast food place…
