I went to Dr. Spenler for breast reconstruction surgery at the most difficult time I have ever experienced in my life. He was calm and reassuring. Both he and his lovely office staff were kind and helpful. Most importantly, the results are exceptional. I could not be happier and feel restored and made whole.

My mother had a diagnosis that required her to have surgery and when we asked the surgeon if she had a referral for her reconstruction, we were given Dr. Spenler’s name and we are so glad. Dr. Spenler has a great demeanor that was very calming during a very stressful time for my mom. He and his staff were great about answering questions, even after we left the office. He did a wonderful job with her reconstruction and she couldn’t be happier with the end result and all of the help he provided leading up to and after surgery.

Let me start off by saying Dr Spenler was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. The office is nice the staff is nice. But MY one star is due to the fact that I went in for a skin disorder which is not caused by my weight (my weight doesn’t help) but it is hereditary. The consultation for my skin issue turned quickly into a selling of gastric bypass. He never once looked at the skin issues I have just went straight to not being able to do it because of my weight, which is fine probably a valid point. However the push of getting gastric bypass was horrible. Didn’t ask about my history of weight gain/​loss cause I recently lost a ton of weight and had recently put some back on. He just automatically went into how I am a prime candidate and that It would clear up diabetes the very next day. That’s great but I don’t have diabetes or am close to having it. The only thing he cared about was getting me on board for gastric bypass because HIS WIFE is the surgeon and that’s who he refers to. So basically he sells people on his wife who then turns around and has them go back to him to get rid of the skin. Great team.

Obviously I was quite nervous when I was told I had a basal cell carcinoma on my ankle and it would require surgery to get rid of it. However, after consulting with Dr. Spenler, my fears were put to rest. He is charming, friendly, with a great «bedside manner» and obviously has loads of experience. The procedure, which took place at the Torrance Memorial outpatient center, was as easy as could be. Everyone there, from the attending nurse to the anesthetist, were friendly, helpful and sympathetic. It was almost a pleasant experience since I was given a nice dose of knock-​out drops and woke up to find it was all over. There was NO pain after the surgery and I was able to continue my life almost as usual afterwards, The follow-​up visit to Dr. Spenler’s office went smoothly and my stitches were painlessly removed by a very competent nurse. I would highly recommend Dr. Spenler for his experience, knowledge, ability and delightful bedside manner. He is never rushed and makes one feel quite special. Thank you for taking care of my problem, I really appreciate it.
