Island Mountain Tree and Plant Service

Rick Wheeler, owner of Island Mountain Tree and Plant Service, is a licensed arborist. He injected my ornamental pear tree, that was almost dead, and in a matter of two-​three years the tree has returned to vigorous growth. The South Coast Botanical Gardens invites him each year to give a tree trimming workshop. He has well over 30 years of experience from pruning Washington orchards to commercial properties to individual residential trees. He has seen it, done it, and, as he likes to say, he «saves the urban forest one tree at a time.» He maintains our residential property containing 20 podocarpus, 6 Melaleuca, 1 apple, 1 lime, 1 tangerine, 1 persimmon, 2 avocados, 2 cherries, 2 cassias, 1 tristania, and 1 ornamental pear tree. Gardeners are the bane of healthy trees. Arborist are the only choice for tree maintenance. Rick is my arborist of choice and proven performer for the past 8 years.

Rick showed up on time for the estimate and provided a quote on the spot. Peter followed up to with a phone call to schedule the service and was arrived on time for that. He then took the time to explain exactly what his crew was doing and why it was the healthiest approach for the tree. I will definitely use them again.
